I've been meaning to write this review for years. Growing up I, like most, learned to fear the dentist and avoid it at all costs. I can't really believe I'm saying this, but I actually like going to Fiant. I know, crazy talk. The staff here is kind, professional, and fun to talk to. They genuinely seem to care about me and my health. They never shame me into feeling like I need to do better with my oral care, instead I feel they gently guide me in the right direction and give sound advice. Horribly unprofessional. I called to make an appointment and immediately was hung up on. Wondering if I had the wrong number, I called again. Someone picked up and said nothing. I said "hello?" and then the receptionist said "yes?" I told her I was trying to reach Fiant Dental and she says "yeah that's us." The worst phone etiquette I have ever experienced at a dental clinic. I definitely will not be getting anything done here if the dentistry is anything like the customer service. Somewhat friendly, nice newer building, but drastically expensive. I was looking for a new, more convenient dentist, went here, and they charged so much for a basic annual checkup that my insurance didn't cover it. I have never seen that before. And Fiant then got much less friendly and threatened collections by coming after me for the remainder, even before I had a proper bill. I get the positive reviews, this is the dentist for you if you're looking for, and willing to pay for, an "insta-worthy" dental experience or something. read more

I've never thought I'd be the person to say that I actually like a dentist, but Fiant is great! I was looking for a dentist in Minneapolis and one of my friends highly recommended them, rightfully so. The staff is so nice and friendly and the office is very modern, open, and doesn't have that old-school sterile-medical-office feel. My checkups have been super quick & efficient - less than a half hour both times I've gone! They were able to do an early morning appointment at 7:15am so I could go before work and they're conveniently located on Lyndale. I have only good things to say about them :) read more

Okay if I could give them 10 stars I would. So to state the obvious, beautiful and unique office, very clean and modern. Then also wonderfully welcoming from the front desk staff to the dental staff and ofcourse the DDS was even more wonderful I got exactly what myself and 9 year old needed . I will be a customer for life and my 9 year old loved them too. I highly recommend you book an appointment because pretty soon this place might have a year long waiting list that's how amazing they are. What a scam. Just moved here, found this dentist office on-line, made an appt for an annual cleaning using my insurance. After the exam, they decided I needed a "deep-clean" that would cost me an additional $1500 in addition to my insurance. When I said I didn't want the deep-clean, just a normal cleaning, they refused but took my insurance money anyway. Two weeks later I travelled back to my dentist of 20+ years, who said my teeth were in great shape. read more

I kind of don't want to tell you how awesome this dentist is - I don't want the secret to get out! This place is chill and relaxing. Everyone acts relaxed, competent, happy to see you. It makes for an atmosphere where you, as the patient, feel comfortable asking questions, asking to take breaks, revealing any fears or pains. I'm fairly fearless at the dentist (luckily, no trauma in my past!), but I can see how the way they approach dentistry and patient care would put even the most nervous patient at ease. My teeth suffer from poor genes and a childhood filled with Mountain Dew. After a dentist in my 20s used terrible shame tactics and rough cleaning, I was terrified to go back to ANY dentist. It took me a long time to work up the courage to make an appointment at Fiant (after reading the great Yelp reviews), but I am so glad I did. Dr. Seime was so sweet to me, and very encouraging. She changed my mind about dentists. Now I am excited when my next cleaning is coming up. Every person that works there is friendly, down-to-earth, gentle, compassionate, and explains everything so nothing is ever a mystery - whether it's insurance or what they're about to stick into your mouth. I had a difficult-to-reach temporary crown put in (with Dr. Graham) and I didn't feel an ounce of pain during the work, or after. I have never felt pain or fear or shame or anything negative at Fiant. If you have been putting off going to the dentist because of fear or shame, or if you're just not completely happy or comfortable with your current dentist, you should make an appointment at Fiant as soon as possible. read more

I have had the best experience with Fiant. In my past, I have had some really poor service with other dental clinics and can say I am pretty leery now about anyone. The problem I went to Fiant for was actually a result of another dentists' greed and unprofessionalism 20 years ago and I am still dealing with it (that dentist has since lost his license and moved out of state). Further complicated by my previous clinic who had 'revolving door' of dentists working for them. Finding Fiant is like a dream come true. I found Fiant through a friend who raved about his experience with them and also their sponsorship of the Gay Men's Choir in town. My first appointment was nothing short of amazing, it was first thing in the morning (7:30am) nice because I could get it in before work. The dentist (Dr. Anna Seine) We talked about the 'history' of the tooth in question, she x-rayed and looked closely at it. She determined that the tooth (with all of its history and tragedy) is cracked (it has a root canal and crown on it) she wanted and Endodontic to review it just to be sure. We also talked about options to 'replace' it if needed (didn't want a hole in my smile). The density whipped up information on implants and bridges on the screen and we talked through both options, high view of process and expected costs and who she would refer me to for the procedures needed. I truly am at a loss for words when it comes to how wonderful this dentist is...which is a first. Overall, my teeth are like IKEA furniture, in that it looks great on the outside, but is crap on the inside. The performance of said teeth have been about as great as the dresser I bought there 2 years ago... which collapsed and is now a pile on the floor. Needless to say I have spent a LOT of time in this office. Through every filling, root canal, and cleaning, every staff member was friendly, professional, and helpful! I've had some low lows in that chair, and no other office could even come close to the care Fiant provides. I'm not sure what else I can say besides you are CRAZY for going anywhere else! Beautiful office, extraordinary dental care and planning combined with outstanding customer service gives life to the best dental team in the cities. Now with that said, let me tell you more about my experience and background. Before becoming Dr. Graham's patient, I did some "dentist shopping". Three made the cut based on experience, location, flexible hours, what type of procedures are done in-office. I've called all three dentist offices and had specific questions about the practice, doctor, claims handling. However, only Fiant Dental stood out from rest of them. From the moment I called, professional, warm and courteous voice was on the other line. Receptionist answered all my concerns and offered to send me all "first visit forms" pre-filled based on my answers to my home address or if I wish I can obtain the same forms from their website. I choose to go with website route and returned those forms via email. Yes, people. This office operates on 21st century principles. Breath of fresh air. Now onto my first visit. From the moment you walk into the office, you feel warm welcome. Dental hygienist is not some nag that scolds you for flossing once a day or skip brushing and flossing altogether. She asks meaningful questions, engages in friendly conversation and in most gentle way does her magic that yields a beautiful smile. Then Dr. Graham walked in. He radiated confidence and warmth. We started conversing and for the first time, I was in hands of a dentist who was actively listening and asking questions. We agreed on a short term plan that maximizes my dental insurance benefits and works with my budget. HUH! I told you, he listens. Ohhh, almost forgot to mention. He did an oral cancer screening as part of my exam. They know their business and are very effective and efficient. My claim was submitted the same day and paid by my insurance the next day. I am all similes :) If you are still reading this and have not reached for your phone to get an appointment, now is the good time. P.S. If you are looking for a stuffy, lifeless and angry looking dentist Fiant Dental is not for you. read more

I've been going to Fiant for about a year and a half now and I've had wonderful experiences. I've had the same hygienist each time I've been in, and have had great customer service over the phone and in person. Their new location is much larger, with better hours and a dedicated parking lot. If I ever need to move out of uptown, I'll still come to Fiant. Best dental experience I've had! Of note, I haven't had to have any work done here other than regular cleanings, but I'll update this review if I do. read more

I felt so lost when my dentist retired. This is a very personal partnership. With hesitation of starting with a new professional I chose Fiant. Now having completed my second appt and procedure I feel great ease and confidence to continue and enjoy the skill and professional considerations in having my questions well answered by both Dr Graham and his assistant. It pains me to have to rate Fiant below 5 stars, but my last two experiences and the period following the visits gave me the time needed to officially whip up a review. I've visited Fiant 8 times, give or take a visit, and have been more than satisfied with all but the last two. Three visits back, a cavity was attended to. The tooth delivered severe pain days after the visit, so I returned. The procedure of cavity fill was repeated. I still had pain in the tooth, which eventually subsided at around the 45-day mark. It has now been over 6 months and it still hurts a bit every time I use that molar. I didn't speak up after the second procedure because it seems as though some long-term damage was apparently done, and I had no desire to potentially do more, or try a third time. The day after that second cavity visit, I returned and was fitted with all sorts of moldings/ bonding material for Invisalign. These applications go on soft/ wet and harden around teeth. What I've noticed since then is that my teeth lost their ability to repel food...like the material used to take the molds stripped the enamel from my teeth. The first meal after every brush now cakes up into a thick mass right after. read more

Fiant has continued their legacy of great dentistry services. They've moved a few blocks south and now have parking and a big, fancy office. My sister and I both come here regularly and love the special attention we get. The dental assistants pick up your conversations from 6 months ago without a beat. I feel like a valued person while I'm there and that they care about my health. Based on personality alone, I'd recommend Fiant. Each and every single person acts friendly and sincere. I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Graham. He mentioned they are expanding with more dentists and staff. I trust them to be top quality also. They have extended appointment slots on Monday evenings, so I don't have to miss work. They've become so popular though, that appointments book out months ahead. I was a huge derby fan and found Fiant through MNRG. So glad to have connected with them. Worth a trip to Uptown to receive quality care. read more

This place is the bomb! I had been going to the same childhood dentist into my late twenties before tiring of driving out to the 'burbs. When I arrived at Fiant I thought, "Why did I wait so long?!?" Dr. Graham is so wonderful to be around - a genuinely happy guy who's always taken the time to explain all the technical jargon in language I can understand. His assistant is fabulous and the gal at the desk always knows my name when I arrive and has things ready to go. Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra or Johnny Cash serenade you while in the chair and there's no harsh lighting to speak of. The new office they just moved into is the icing on the cake. I'll start by saying I've never had problems with my teeth and LOVE having them cleaned. I should be a dentist's dream patient. Having said that, it's surprising at how many horrible dental experiences I've had. Seriously, for someone like me it shouldn't be hard to find a dentist. When my long term dentist retired a few years agoI started the search. I've tried four, one didn't even make it to the office. I waited for the guy a half hour after my fantastic cleaning and finally left. You'd expect a call or something right? Nothing, nada. zip, zilch. Another stretched my lips so far I thought they were going to snap like rubber bands. Here's to hoping Fiant is my fifth and final. They were just what I want from a dentist. read more

Like many others I absolutely hate going to the dentist, so much that I didnt go for 7 years and needed a lot of work done. Fiant is amazing, simple as that! It had been many years since I had been to the dentist and was a little embarrassed about how long it had been. I had to have two painful sounding deep cleanings and I'm a huge baby when it comes to pain. Everyone at Fiant was amazing from the beginning to the end! If you're looking for a fancy dentist you've found your office. The reception area is well designed, the chairs are comfortable, the staff is peppy but you'll pay for it all. They charge more than the average dental office. On top of the price, I had a terrible experience after a filling they completed. Several months after the filling was done I was experiencing hot and cold sensitivity. I was dissuaded by the receptionist to schedule a follow up appt. When I finally made it in the dentist told me to wait it out for several more months or get an 'optional' root canal on the tooth they had just filled. I wasn't in pain before they did the filling and I've been in pain since. The dentist didn't offer to redo the filling, and didn't offer any explanation for why I experiencing this pain outside of normal disturbance. I know from experience this is not normal. It was also completely bizarre that the dentist would advise an optional root canal which is invasive, expensive, and painful. The people are nice and the office is beautiful but don't be fooled by appearance. I wouldn't trust their dental advice. Their priority is design and profit not patient care. Will not be returning. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Fiant! The venue itself is totally remodeled, and the equipment is cutting edge. The hygienists and dentists are knowledgeable, friendly, and get the job done. I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling as well - it doesn't take months to get an appointment on the books. I have had the unfortunate luck of having two past dentists retire on me in a short period of time. It worked out for the best though, because after doing some sleuthing online for a good dentist and I found Dr. Graham two years ago when they were at their old office. I have been going there ever since. Their office is amazing; it seems clean and sterile as it should, while still feeling welcoming and fun. The staff there is fun while being professional. I am terrified of needles, so doing a cavity filling is really a miserable experience for me. Well, I can't say it was fun, but it was much less painful and scary than in the past when getting a filling taken care of by Dr. Graham. Their staff is great and talked me through exactly what was happening rather than having painful surprises. read more

Update: I was contacted by the doctor and he explained that the front desk staff that I spoke with about my bill is new and that she wasn't aware of a policy that the clinic has concerning some insurance companies and their billing. He was apologetic and assured me that I did not owe any additional costs. Just another lesson for patients to be sure they are advocating for themselves and educating themselves on procedures and policies of both insurance companies and clinics! Anyway, I will follow up with this clinic concerning my fillings and the sensitivity I am experiencing. I am relieved that this was a misunderstanding! read more

I had my first appointment at Fiant Dental last month, and I've recommended them to all of my family and friends since. Dr. Seime, Abby, and Antje provided excellent care. They don't shame you if it's been a while since your last appointment either. Even though I needed fillings, they made that part painless, too. I don't dread going back for my next check up like I have with other dentists. I took my 10 year old to Fiant for the first time today. We were happy with his previous pediatric clinic, but I made him an appointment here after having such a positive experience. The admin staff chatted with him until it was time for him to go get X-rays with Antje. When he got a little nervous upon seeing the tools on the tray (he has autism, so he gets anxious about some things), Abby reassured him that she wasn't going to use all of them, showed him how she would use them, and took a lot of time to let him know what was going to happen next. Dr. Seime was extremely patient and friendly, and took the time to talk to have a conversation with him during the exam. For a dental clinic that doesn't specialize in pediatrics, I was amazed by how wonderful they were with my son. On top of this, it's a beautiful office that's easy to find and has free parking. Their treatment plans are clear, and they're not pushy. Our appointments started on time, and everyone there is friendly. They are fantastic. I was referred to Fiant by a friend and couldn't be more happy. As a kid I had braces, so seeing the dentist is pretty routine and mundane. It takes a lot to impress me. I can't recommend them enough. You feel like an old friend the minute you walk in. They are professional, energetic, fun, quick humored and go above and beyond in giving back to the community. I went in for a cleaning and check up. The cleaning and check up went great. The hygienist used an ultrasound tool that made it quick and painless. My only criticism was the floss they sent me home with is basically useless. They should either get real floss or just not give you floss read more
