For me, it's always overwhelming to pick a new pair of sunglasses, but with her help, I chose a frame that I loved. The place is clean and bright with a lot of natural light coming in. I had no idea eye exams could evolve this much - apparently dilation is no longer mandatory for viewing your optical nerves, and I couldn't be more thrilled about that!!! On my last visit, they introduced a new machine specifically for dry eyes (which, as someone who stares at screens all day, feels life-changing). It's clear they really invest in the latest technology to make the experience better for us patients. Dr. Courtney Bovy is absolutely incredible. She actually listens and gives thoughtful, practical advice for the issues I bring up. You never feel rushed or brushed off, which is rare and so appreciated! Also, shoutout to their deals! Somehow there's always a great promotion going on. I was even able to get Meta glasses through my insurance, which was such a cool bonus! I've moved a couple times over the past few years, but no matter how far I end up, I will gladly make the drive back here. That alone says everything. Thanks again to the whole team! Then he immediately asked me if I made the appointment online and if I received a confirmation, and I said I saw it's confirmed on the screen. And he asked if we got an email? I mean, ...as if the customer is the one to blame ? Then he said there is a 9:15 about another hour wait, and said, you can just hang out here and wait. Wait a second ! I took the time from my work, drive out there to get my annual, and now your system made a mistake and I had to pay for it with my time and the lack of hours I missed working and making money! Are you serious ? ??? The doctor is fine, I mean, expected, but the way they handle these situations are terrible. The guy at the front desk on 3/9 Monday morning, literally said " I just work here, if you want to complain, you can wait until my manager gets here in like 40 mins or come back another day" Like other customer complains, my time is precious and not being able to see patients when appointments are confirmed online should be taken seriously. If we need to bring confirmation email or proof, as long as it's notified, we are happy to do so. But when it's not the patients fault, they need to make up for our time.

As someone who previously worked in the optical field, I can genuinely say Dr. Downs is the best!…read more I have been a patient of his for a few years, and trust him 100% He is friendly easy to talk to, and really takes time to make sure your vision is the best it can be. My husband recently had an exam and Dr.Downs noticed he needed a prism in his lens..... no other OD has ever mentioned this, my husband's new glasses really make a difference. The optician assisted my husband with frames that look great and fit him perfectly, she recommended lenses and broke down everything very clearly by explaining our insurance benefits. I have never purchased glasses from the office since I just recently started needing an rx only for reading and computer. His optician was not pushy, and I had no issue getting a copy of my RX. The office had state of the art technology and my daughter had an extremely thorough eye exam. They had a huge selection of frames (even for kids)! She was allowed to try on frame after frame before finding the best fitting pair. Skylar, the optician, then meticulously adjusted again and again, until the best fit was obtained.
