My payment was declined as another payment of a different company was processed. I then went on the Fidelity website to pay my premium; their website was suffering technical issues and would only allow me to process a onetime payment, so I made the payment to relieve my monthly payment. Everyday since I paid my premium, Fidelity has attempted to recharge me for me an additional payment. I called and spoke with Lisa P5258 and Lori X4655 and both of them refused to fix the issue and said I was subject to change my payments to quarterly or pay an additional payment despite having already paid this months premium. All other times I've spoke with customer service agents, they have all been helpful. Lori and Lisa are two of the most unhelpful agents I have encountered. Had a very nice and informative meeting with one of their advisors. Beautiful office with high security.... and snacks ;-) There is a bowl of snacks in the wait room. I am at that age where you evaluate if working may be a financial hinderance vs a benefit. One should have that problem and I am grateful to consult with experts to help me figure it out. I met with Shaun who was more that helpful and spent an hour and a half looking at charts, explaining pros and cons and what the Fidelity Team could do for me as I venture into this phase of my life. Take my advice and don't ever do business with these guys. I've never written a review good or bad about any financial institution but the degree of incompetence and dismissiveness is so profound that it needs to be verbalized. They have some clown working there named Chris. Looks like he just started shaving a couple of weeks ago. Very inexperienced and dimwitted. A document known as a 1035 exchange form can be filled out by a five-year-old it's so simple to complete. Arriving at this guy's office I signed the document and left. Long story short I had to return on five separate occasions literally five, to address errors that he made on the document. Signature missing one time than the second time a few initials that he forgot to include then this that and the other thing. Finally the document after six weeks was sent off to a third-party for them to send a check off the Fidelity and open up an account. This individual was so ignorant that he put the wrong account number on the document in addition to making the five errors spoken about above. No one at the other institution to believe that anyone could be so stupid as to put a 16 digit account number which was nowhere on my paperwork as opposed to the correct account number of which I only had one and was clearly indicated on the statement that I brought in. How he transposed some wild 16 digit account number from my statement is an unknown that's left Best unsolved. At that point I contacted his supervisor who gave me the typical all take care of everything routine. Well he didn't and the document was never corrected. I had to spend probably 20 to 30 hours on the phone speaking to representatives at Fidelity's main headquarters in New York to get someone on the phone to act as my point man to get the situation solved. I'm still in the middle of trying to correct all of the errors made. He's inexperienced and unqualified. His supervisor is not much better. He has an answering machine but never returns phone calls. Strange very strange group. Reno is a small city and does not attract the best and the brightest but this is a level of incompetence that is beneath that which is normally found in the most backward of cities in the United States. read more

Had to drop off paperwork for some financial stuff. The receptionist was friendly, knew exactly what i was intending to do, checked the paperwork, and called it good. Was in and out of there in 5 minutes. I like that. However, getting an appointment to actually sit down with one of their investment advisors may prove to be harder. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT TRUST FIDELITY "NEWS" WHEN RESEARCHING POTENTIAL INVESTMENTS!!! Fidelity's News service is NOT CURRENT! Before buying anything check other news sources so you don't make a $10,000 mistake like I did. My example: On March 17th I wanted to purchase 20,000 shares of OILU (UltraPro 3x Crude Oil ETF). I did my due diligence and research on any news or information regarding this ETF on Fidelity's site - I found nothing to be concerned about. I placed the order and received a message that required a Fidelity representative action. I called. The only issue he gave me was that the ETF had dropped to "penny stock" status and required him to approve my account for the transaction. He did so and I made the trade. On March 30th I find out that the ETF has been liquidated. My $10,000 is now GONE!!! I went to Fidelity and there was still no information regarding this event. I checked MarketBeat.com (excellent service for research). Google, TDAmeritrade and found there was a press release advising of this action on March 15th, two days before my trade. Bottom line: Don't trust solely Fidelity's News service. It could be an expensive lesson to learn. read more

Although I have not dealt with this office, I can say find somewhere else to invest your money! My account was set up through my financial adviser with Fidelity. It wasn't 2 months when Fidelity started charging me fees. This was supposed to be a no fee account. When my adviser stepped out so I wouldn't be charged fees. Fidelity told me I needed to set up new accounts and I could transfer funds on line, this was the only way the fees would be eliminated. Well I've been on the phone three times with them today. The first time I was on hold 20 minutes when I hung up. The second time 45. This time I am still on the phone and it has been 50 minutes. After someone answered, I told them my problem and got put on hold. If the funds are not transferred by tomorrow I get charged another fee. If you like to be abused by investment firms handling your had earned cash, this is the one. read more
