Closest Fidelity office in Seal Beach, this location has plenty of parking and a decent variety of stores to shop or eat at. It has a very similar set-up as other Fidelity offices: once you walk in, you notice at least 2 associates standing behind a counter ready to help. We had an appointment with our advisor, so we mentioned that, and they let us know he would be notified and we should have a seat. We were early so waited a bit. The folks behind the counter are young, and since not overly busy, were carrying on conversations with each other. Since we were here last, the office put in a new beverage machine: the Flavia Creation 600...completely self-serve. Created a really good cup of mocha with two custom packs of hot chocolate and coffee. And the disposable packets are automatically 'injested' so nothing to remove/dispose. Coming here gives us an excuse to explore the Seal Beach/Huntington Beach area for the afternoon, which is what we did. read more

I went into the Seal Beach office to set up accounts for my 3 grandchildren. I was welcomed by Arya and ask what I needed. This young man then proceeded to help me set up the accounts. He explained what needed to be done and then helped me do all three (I never would have been able to do it on my own). He was a very friendly and professional representative for Fidelity! The very young people working in the lobby should be no where near your money unless they are supervised by an experienced investment person. Run like hell when they say anything close to let me make a phone call tobe sure what they are telling you is correct. They messes up this situation so badly that I now have to file an amended tax return. Their remedy was to have me speak to a case manager. While this person had answers the solution was put on me for their mistake. I would have been far less stressed with 100$ bills in my matress. read more

Beware of any Fidelity Investment phone transactions. They can promise you the moon and then deny later. No recording. So if they screw up, they will just play stupid or try to make you feel stupid. Phones have lengthy waits, difficult prompts, lots of transfers and waits again, broken promises for call backs, and on and on. Phone supervisors and Seal Beach Branch were no help. Hours to try for help limited to EST... translated to 2 pm M-F PST. I was a customer for many years. No more.! read more

I walked into the Seal Beach office to schedule an appointment because I recently opened an account with them and put some money in and I needed somebody to help me invest those money and other deposits I would make. I wanted to pay for the service and wasn't shopping around for freebies. The person who wrote my info told me that I will get a call from an advisor to schedule the appointment which I should expect in about two hours. Here I am 30 hours later and still waiting for the call. Very unprofessional and it looks to me that they do not need any customers. 0 stars for this kind of insult but to post the review I needed to select at least one star My advise to your employees is never treat anybody like that because you never know how much money they want to put on the table and you never know who they are. Don't go with Fidelity! A check for 6K was stolen and an account opened at this Seal Beach location with no identity and the forged signature wasn't even spelled right. They consider the case closed while I'm out over $6200 so I'm forced to sue them. Nice. Go with a company who has integrity. That's not Fidelity. read more

I needed to open up a 2017 SEP IRA on the last day of the year I could. Since I'm also a Schwab customer I started there but found out that Schwab offices basically don't want to help you and literally give you an 800 number to call instead of helping you! I decided to call Fidelity after the infuriating process I had dealt with at Schwab and I found it refreshing. I simply called the Fidelity 800 number who connected me with the Seal Beach office who when walked me through the process to open a SEP IRA online. I then simply walked into the branch with a check to deposit into the account. They answered some questions and that was it! I was very pleased with the process online, over the phone and in person. Acting as an attorney for one of my clients, we went into the Fidelity at Seal Beach to open accounts and discuss options. At first, everyone was relatively professional, however, I have called and left a number of messages, and do not receive a call back. Today, I called again to speak with one of the persons we were dealing with when we opened the account, and all I get is a telephone message telling me to open an account online. We were not trying to open a new account - we had questions about the account we already had, but it appears that they are too busy to answer any of them, and too busy to return telephone calls. The 5 stars are STRICTLY for Torian Pizziola at the Seal Beach branch. Fidelity, the company itself, is trash. I was referred to Torian by somebody in the "back office" with Fidelity, to help me sort my finances and diversify my portfolio. The account I have with Fidelity is monies received from a QDRO. While Torian was professional, kind and did everything he could to help me, Fidelity has failed repeatedly in the "back office". They're totally incompetent. I'd put my money on the other negative reviews here, that the issues have nothing to do with the people working at the branch, and everything to do with the idiots in the main corporate buildings. read more

I had a horrible experience trying to get my own money from Fidelity. They decided they could not have a PO Box and a street address on the same envelope, so would not send my check. They did, however, send me express mail telling me they withdrew my funds. They also charged me for the express mail (which they do claim they will have reversed in about a week). One of my problems is, this was a large amount of money, so why couldn't they contact me before declining to send my check? Or, why didn't they NOT make the withdrawal? Of course, if they could not send me express mail at that address, why did I get express mail at that address? Why didn't they just tuck the check in? Why is it now going to take another week to get the check? Who can I complain to that would do me any good? read more

I came to this fidelity branch after reading a bad review for a different branch. I went in for help in setting up automatic investments in my Ira account, I asked for the form and asked for help choosing the right mutual fund but was just referred to a business card and a phone number to call I asked if it was possible to talk to anyone in the branch about investment options and was told yes but was given the same card over. Note I did end up calling the investing guidance number and it was the easiest and most helpful thing I ever did read more

I had a great experience with Fidelity and this branch in particular. I spoke to a representative over the phone when looking into making elections for my 401k and after our conversation he suggested that I should sit down with one of their representatives. He looked up branch locations and this was the closest for me. He let me know that a representative from the branch would reach out. Not more than 15 minutes after getting off the phone with the initial gentlemen, I received a follow up phone call from Torian Pizzola, a Financial Consultant at the Seal Beach branch. We chatted for a bit and scheduled an appointment. When arriving at the branch I checked in with a gentleman at the front counter and Torian was out shortly after to begin our meeting. I just finished up my appointment with Torian and he not only answered the questions I had, but also shared other feasible options for my personal situation. Torian was professional and personable and not "pushy" whatsoever. His intention was to layout my options and explain them in detail and leave the ultimate decision up to me. I visited this office in December. I had to wait for awhile before being served but I didn't mind that so much. I had two reps help me identify and complete the paper work I needed to access my money. They told me that they would have it submitted " in a day or two". It has been four months and no action has been taken! I still do not have access to my money! Needless to say this is the reason for my low rating. The two that helped me clearly misrepresented what they were going to do to help me. Poor service. read more
