Once paid, they offered little further assistance. Significant miscommunication between staff members on essential elements of our filing. Longer version: We hired a tax preparation service to help navigate changes to our filing status after getting married. Our tax consultant, Garrett Jones, began working on our application with the wrong filing status. After correcting this error, there was poor communication regarding important changes that needed to be followed up on, which resulted in IRS notices arriving in June. When I raised my concerns with Garrett, his guidance was vague and he offered no clear timeline for resolution. Weeks later, with no progress made, I was left with the impression that once he had been paid, his investment in us as clients had ended. I spent approximately 10 hours on the phone with the IRS trying to sort out the status of our account. Throughout this process, Garrett maintained that I owed approximately $2,000 to the IRS -- when in fact I had a pending refund of approximately $2,000. In the end, we were left with a significant miscalculation, poor customer service, and no choice but to resolve everything ourselves. I'm still unclear what the fee we paid to Crossroads Financial Planning actually covered. Highly recommend taking your taxes elsewhere.

I went to FFA because of the excellent reviews, her experience and was listed on NAPFA…read more Unfortunately, my experience was not positive. I was clear from the beginning about the purpose of the consultation when we spoke on the phone and was willing to work with me to schedule the consultation. On the consultation date after i uploaded my docs, she just did not seem prepared. Amongst a series of problems, from the start she focused on how I could use the software program, not my primary concern. Worse, we spent 45 minutes on the phone with the software technical assistance person (who now also had access to my financials) trying to figure out a fairly simple comparison. At certain points they both appeared to forget I was there. Suffice to say, I left that consultation without my main issue fully addressed. Final straw, when I emailed her later that day to express my dissatisfaction, she never responded. She is probably a great CFP, but with this customer the experience was an epic failure.

I called, set up a 1 hour appointment, and completed the financial inventory requested. She was able to explain my financial status in terms that I could understand. She agreed to let me audio record our session so I could review it after our meeting. And I left with a three ring binder containing an analysis of my current financial situation and projections for retirement. She suggested a few changes, but overall I'm in good financial health. I love what another reviewer wrote and I agree, " So for some of you women out there, smart up! Forgo one of those stupid designer handbags or trips to the spa. Invest in yourself and your future and make an appointment with Delia Fernandez."

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! very knowledgeable and works hard to get you the best tax return possible!…read more This was my first time going to a private CPA since I've always just gone to H&R block and their commercials swear they get you the most money back and I had been suckered into their false corporate marketing scheme. This year I started a home office so I was told to find a good tax guy since H&R block never really goes out of their way to ask questions about misc. work expenses and I didn't get a great return last year. I don't know so much about taxes or write offs but he went over EVERY little detail with me and explained things very clearly that I didn't understand. I cant believe I threw money away by not doing this the last few years. He truly went out of his way to get me the most back possible but also being legitimate and making sure all right offs were legal so if I were to get audited I had all documentation needed. Hes great at what he does, easy to talk to, and it became very obvious he has alot of experience in the industry. :)

I haven't seen how much he saved me on taxes yet but I can say he did the work he charged me for and I felt it was fair for the service I'm receiving.

Working with Kyle Clark has been a standout experience from start to finish…read more After a deeply frustrating experience with another financial advisor program, I was cautious about starting over, but working with Kyle has been a complete 180. From the start, Kyle was thorough and patient. He walked me through transferring all of my existing funds, helped me establish clear savings goals, and gave me concrete, actionable guidance I could actually act on. What impressed me most was his timing: all of this unfolded during a period of significant personal transition for me, and he handled every step with professionalism and calm. The results have spoken for themselves. My portfolio has reached record highs, and for the first time, I genuinely feel in control of my financial future. If you're looking for an advisor who is competent and steady under pressure, I can't recommend Kyle highly enough!

Which ones do I combine? Am I investing too aggressively or not enough? What the heck is this fund? Nick Licouris did a fantastic job - we met twice, and he mapped out a detailed roadmap for me to get my financial house in order over the next few years, explaining everything in plain English anyone could understand. He confirmed I was headed in the right direction, but also pointed out a few things I was unaware of. He also correctly predicted how many hours it would take, so the cost was no surprise. I am very, VERY pleased with the results and I've recommended him to others and will probably hire him again, once I've executed the plan.

We contacted them and I had to first declare and prove my father was dead. I sent them all of the info and had it notarized. Then after not hearing from them for over a month we contacted them again. We again had to send off all the proof of his death. After another 6 weeks of not hearing back we contacted them, yet again. They needed other info, which is still all the info we sent. We now have to add my husband to the account. Did that, all docs are notarized. Then we called again because of them being non involved on their end, and oh they need more paper work and!!! They want us to fill in info on the office side of it!! My father worked hard to proceed for mom. It's her money!! Her care has exceeded her income! We've stated that!! It's June 29th!! We've been at this since February. We're done!! One more bs move on their part to deny care to our mom will meet with legal actions!!! It's her money for her care!! It's not theirs!!! They've had the luxury of sitting on her money and now they won't let go!!! When she needs it the most! She doesn't even know us anymore and this is the biggest bs slap in the face we have to go through. They don't do their job!! They're making us do their job and figure it out for them!!
