North hills. It comes under Modern Property Management. This property is not getting taken care of properly. Management either can't help or don't wanna help. Because you don't get any help from them anyway. First, you can't reach them until they call you themselves. They're Slow to response or solve problems. Owner of this building may be doesn't wanna spend money, so most of the things he comes and fix himself at your door. Crazy right ? It's los angeles california, temperature is 100F, our Air conditioning stopped working. Blowing warm air. i requested maintenance on a portal of Modern Property Management. Till 3 days, no actions were taken. On 4th day i called owner and then he said 'ok i'll call the guy and let you know'. what ? we were surviving in those 3 days, my wife was pregnant. the weather was unbearable. But no one was bothered till day 4. I was shocked. And the cherry on cake was, owner said "it's weekend so you will have to wait till monday". and later when i asked managment about this then they reply was 'our job is to forward your request to the owner'. amazing !

During those two months we rarely saw saw any houses in person since our real estate agent was not making us a priority. With the housing market being so hot we thought it was just the way things were. When we met Elias & Mayra in October of 2021 everything changed. We had a sit down with Elias & Mayra to discuss what we were looking for and what kind of lifestyle we envisioned ourselves living in order for him to look for houses for us. As first time home buyers we were pretty uninformed as to what we needed in order to become homeowners. Luckily Elias & Mayra were able to provide guidance and even recommend some financial institutions for us to apply for a mortgage loan so that we could be actively submitting offers to houses that we liked. During our sit down we told him what areas we were interested in living in, and also what values mattered to us in regards to schools, safety, kids, etc... After our sit down the very next day Elias & Mayra sent over available listings so that we can setup viewing times during the week/weekend in order to begin our adventure of buying a home. It took us only a couple of weeks before Elias & Mayra found us our forever home. We saw so many houses because the housing market was so hot that everyone was overbidding on the listed value of each home, but Elias found a house in the city of Buena Park, CA. I remember that day he presented us the house, and he spoke to the realtor selling the house and got us to see it the same day. We fell in love with the house immediately. Elias was able to work with the realtor and lock in the price and get us credits back on the house. Not only that he was able to assist in recommending places for the inspection and anything else that was needed. I will forever be thankful for Elias & Mayra and their dedication to helping us find our first home. Me and my wife will be starting our family here and if we ever decide to move again I will definitely be reaching out to them. We are in the process of touring and applying to other properties, and after yet another document request from Fay on Thursday, we decided to withdraw our application from the property as other landlords and property management teams were asking for less and also ready to approve and move forward. We sent a very courteous email letting her know that we were withdrawing our application Thursday night and Friday morning we received this: "I worked numerous hours on your applications. You guys should have been upfront with me from the beginning so I dont waste my time." We understand screening takes effort, but applicants are also investing time, application fees, and gathering extensive documentation. A more professional response would have simply acknowledged the withdrawal. That being said, I believe you should be cautious renting from this company, some of their realtors are lacking in their customer service skills and I'm sure that carries over into their properties, based on the reviews below.

She constantly dodges responsibility and points to the HOA board whenever a real issue comes up. It feels like she's more focused on avoiding problems than solving them. I've tried to be patient, but I keep hitting the same wall.The communication is cold, and sometimes even rude. I've received incorrect information just to move the conversation along. That's not just unprofessional, it's careless. And when I've raised concerns, they've been brushed off like they weren't important. I don't know if this is how the whole company operates or if it's just her, but either way, it leaves a lot to be desired.
