Finally a big chain competitor to Cabelas. Everybody always claims how great Cabelas is at price matching, but the more I go there the more and more they get rid of name brands to replace them with their in house brand. I mean just go and look at the cast iron cookware at Cabelas....most of it has their name on it and an extra $20 added to the price. Here at F&S they have an entire aisle of Lodge Logic stuff including lids! And they price match! The store is much smaller than Cabelas, but has a better selection than Dicks. I find the store size to be just perfect...not too much stuff to make you wonder aimlessly for hours looking for what you want. The prices here are pretty good too. I shop a lot on Amazon...no taxes and free shipping and all, and usually cheaper prices. Several things I looked at I scanned with the Amazon app and the F&S price was the same on just about everything. I'll pay the taxes to have something I want today and to get to see it in person before buying it, but I won't pay a huge markup for that benefit. The merchandise seems to be pretty high end as well. They have a newer, or better, version of a canoe I bought elsewhere. Updated seats, added pockets, even a square back end...all of which I would have loved to have on my current boat. This place is worth a stop if you're shopping outdoor gear in the area nearby such as REI or Dicks.

    Cool taxidermy items

Love this store and we have gotten some really great deals at this store. We bought a crossbow here for $365 that was a $900 bow and nowhere else could touch that blowout price. We mainly buy our hunting items here but when we do they have a great selection at good pricing. We stop at this location whenever we are in the area just to check out what they have. Nice clean store with a helpful staff. The blowout / season ending pricing is definitely some of the best pricing you will find anywhere

Great store for guns and ammo. Cam is awesome to work with. Just picked up some bricks of 22 at a reasonable price. Thank you!

The prices match the nearby Marshall's and TJ Maxx, obviously. But you can find some deals. I always check out the pet area for treats and toys. You can also find Darn Tough socks sometimes. The wait in line usually isn't too bad. The last time I was there, November 2024, a guy stocking shelves was coughing loudly over the products.

When I was in the outdoor industry and needed new gear, STP was one of the first websites I'd check for gear. Even when my wife was an employee at a competing outdoor retailer (where I got a discount) I was still shopping online at STP. When I found out they were building a brick and mortar store here in Columbus I was beyond thrilled! As it is part of the TJX companies it still means that the store is a gamble when it comes to brands and sizes found. However, it makes a great starting point as you can easily search their site to see if there are other sizes, colors, etc available. Don't have a tiny pocket computer (aka a smart phone)? There's no need to fret! In store they even have a kiosk where you can search their online stock. My only real dislike of the physical store is that as of right now they do not accept the countless coupons that come to my email address. This may change soon as an employee recently told me that they would start honoring them. Until then, I will still order the bulk of my purchases from the website so I can use the frequent STP coupons. With the store so close it's super easy to return to the store with no hassle. This is extremely helpful when ordering shoes online as some outdoor brands use variations of European sizing that allow for greater fit specification. Recently I ordered two pairs of a boot to see if they would work for my job. Having a low volume super narrow foot they did not but, with the painless returns it was no problem. I even lucked out and found the perfect pair in store!

It's huge, it's expensive, and usually it's disappointing. Today I was looking for a mess kit for camping. They have vast areas devoted to clothing, a whole wall of hundreds of Stanleys, 14 different dog bowls, and zero mess kits. Two little aisles of camping gear, and that's it. Their grilling section is four times as big as the camping section. I guess that's what people wanna buy, but if you are looking for outdoor supplies, this is not the place to come.

We hit it up yesterday after the Buckeyes won and got us some new Buckeye shoes and fun fab hoodies we're pretty sure once they sell out that is it. They are that fun! In the shoe department there were three associates kicking it and not approaching anyone for help so took a star down. Once my husband approached them, only then did we get what we needed. Weird. The checkout was awesome great staff who welcomed us with a smile and was super efficient and smooth with our transaction. During the COVID years, DSG kept it legit and professional with car deliveries. When I do stop for golf gear, I'm always approached in that department offering help so that makes me happy. Overall, I do love this store experience overall. Admittedly, I did try the new Polaris location the weekend of their re-opening Aug 15-17 and what a nightmare. Too loud and too big for my taste. Keep me going back to Easton as the people are great and Easton keeps it easy.

I've ordered several items this way from Vance's at the Hebron store and was always greeted by the CS person at the counter and taken right back to pick up my items. Upon arrival at the Cleveland Ave store, I informed the front desk I had an order ready for pickup and the lady referred me to Gayle, who is the IOP rep and should be familiar with the process. I informed Gayle I had an order ready for pickup and also had an appointment time scheduled. She told me to take a number. I kindly informed her again that I had an appointment time confirmed. She rudely said, "That's nice, but you need to take a number"and then proceeded to grab a number at the gun counter for me. She handed it to me and stormed off. After waiting about 20 min for my number to be called, Courteny called my number. While doing my paperwork, I asked her what the process was for order pickup with a confirmed appt time. She kindly informed me the front counter should have given me a buzzer and a light at the gun counter would flash and the buzzer would go off when my item was ready. I told her of the ordeal I had with Gayle and she again informed that is NOT the process for pickup in my situation. Courteny was a so kind and knowledgeable. If not for Courteny saving the day, I would have left zero stars for the way I was treated by Gayle.
