I got my kitty Rhea spayed here through their low cost spay/neuter clinic. And I have nothing but good things to say! The check in/ pick up was quick, easy and professional. They keep all the cats separate and with covers to reduce stress. Recover will be different for ever cat but for mine it went super smoothly. I'm so happy to have found FieldHaven. And would recommend it to others 100 times!

There are Not enough stars available for this place! They go way above the call of furry duty and take action to help all the kitty kids of our area, support them in anyway you can! I know I do!

Been here before when I was a girl scout troop leader and the staff was amazing. On July 15, 23 my daughter's and I were enjoying Old Town Lincoln and stopped over. Staff was extremely friendly and let us play with the 3 kittens and we also visited with the other cats giving them all love. Looking forward to volunteering here with my daughter soon.

passive aggressive text message from one of your employees.

Just had a simple question on what resources i have for rehoming my cats temporarily. Left a message and waited to hear back, i missed one call from someone named "Debra" because i'm not around my phone 24/7 and got this passive aggressive message. All she had to say was that she wanted to return my call, she didn't need to say all this. this text stressed me out and made me very angry, which isn't healthy for my pregnancy. Worry about your customer service like other people in these reviews are saying and maybe people will be more receptive to your help. Do better. Seriously.

fieldhaven is the best! They have the sweetest volunteers there and their facility is so unique and clean. Everyone is so happy to be there and their kitties are very well treated and happy as well. they even have volunteers to just spend time with the kitties and play with them and show them love. I adopted my kitty from Fieldhaven and she's the best. I am a relatively new kitty owner, so I get stuck with a few things. But I know I can always call them and ask them anything and they'll always help me. Also! they do AMAZING work with other shelters. They have wonderful programs that help with feral cats, and outdoor kitties. they have a Rodent Ranger shelter on the property where you can adopt cats that take care of your mice problems on your property :) this shelter does amazing, outstanding work and it's full of wonderful people and some pretty amazing felines. Thank you, Fieldhaven, for bringing so many kitties together with their furrever home. including my Mommas

Me and Layla, one of the not yet born kittens.

We had booked a private tour for his birthday to meet the rescue animals who call this beautiful place home. Yasmin met us at the entrance and, after swapping shoes for some solid boots, gave us a very honest, very real, and very important rundown of industrial agriculture. Now, I have to add, neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian, but Yasmin proved to be an actively non judgmental, compassionate host. She walked us through the grounds, addressing each animal by name, and was full of knowledge and insight! After the initial meet and greet, we were off! We hiked across the beautiful grounds and met tons of sheep (Jet loved my partner!) goats, and pigs; all of the animals roam freely, coming and going as they please. It was actually delightful how so many of the animals came up to say hi and hang out out of their own volition! We brought some grapes for the chickens and they LOVED them! But oh my god, the turkeys. Wow, just, two little friendly, fluffy orbs that floated around our party showing off while Yasmin gave us an informed and empathetic story about them. She did that at every habitat; letting us in, introducing us (by name!) to the boldest of the bunch, and explaining how they ended up at Animal Place. It was an entirely wonderful, enlightening experience. Also, fyi, turkeys are so soft. I cannot recommend this organization enough. 10/10, please give Conrad an extra treat for me!

I'm writing the review I wish I had seen before hiring her. I have an 8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is overall fairly well-behaved. I hired Debi to learn training techniques to address his separation anxiety and inability to walk without tugging me everywhere. Debi may be qualified on paper to train dogs, however, the human coaching experience was unpleasant. She pointed out everything I was doing wrong and gave me a lengthy list of things I should change, completely unconcerned with our history, lifestyle, or preferences. I tried expressing some concerns and they were immediately dismissed. She told me to throw the dog crate away (he likes to sleep in his crate though), bring him with me to every store when I'm running errands (no thanks?), buy him a bunch of toys (his entire life he's never been interested in toys), and to tie him up to the couch in the living room. I want to focus my review on the dog training, but it's relevant to point out that Debi subscribes to many conspiracy theories. She argued Covid is "just like the flu", said she doesn't trust any medical professionals (she didn't believe her own test results from the doctor because "all of the machines are purposely calibrated too high"), and said not to follow any recommendations of veterinarians. She told me my dog looks overweight and to switch him to a low-protein diet, which I found particularly interesting because I'm a registered dietitian by profession and that completely belies what I know about human nutrition. Some cursory Googling of the literature confirms what I suspected to be true - a low protein diet is only beneficial for very specific health conditions and actually has negative effects in terms of preserving lean body mass while trying to lose weight. I pointed this out, saying it runs contrary what vets also recommend, and she said "vets aren't nutritionists"...the irony was too much to handle. She did address everything I wanted to learn - from basic commands to walking techniques. But, I'm unsure what advice to follow given that anything with logic or a scientific basis was not in her realm. When it came time to pay, she made an off-color remark about Asians and tipping, and at that point I was so saturated with conspiracies, illogic, contradictions, and now racism that I needed an emotional break before I could write this review. We simply weren't a good fit. But, hey, if you disagree with anything I wrote, maybe you will be.
