I'm sorry to report we will no longer be shopping at this location for our pet needs. We recently visited the store to get some catfish for our tropical aquarium and were truly disgusted by the condition of their aquariums. All of them were loaded with algae (you could hardly see in some) and pest snails. I saw multiple tanks with dead fish that needed to be removed. I feel compelled to write this review on behalf of those poor fish. Have some pride in your workplace and clean it up! read more

Took my son TEDDY the cockapoo in to get a brush and bath yesterday & I live in Rocklin, I always make the 15min drive to come here because KYLIE leaves him nice and fluffy and squeaky clean . I purchase the bundle for bath and brush because it's the best deal for my cockapoo . He loves to get messy and he has lots of fluff and they just deliver every single time I've had theeee worst experiences at multiple other locations PETSMART and Petco that I almost gave up until I just happened to give him a try . I couldn't afford paying $100+ every month anymore for his grooming so I was considering giving him to family who could afford his maintenance because he deserves it . She proceeded to bring over a Release Form indicating that crabs and basically all animals can bite,scratch, and cause harm and disease! Yes, they look "cute," but they are animals and rodents. I said, "No thank you, we shall pass for now. I brought my dog Mindi in for a pedicure (they call it a pawdicure). I had called a few times to make an appointment and couldn't get through to anybody so I decided to just walk in this afternoon. They were busy and at first said they probably couldn't do it but when I told him I was having a hard time making an appointment, they squeezed me in. Which I thought was really nice. They did an AMAZING job, gave her a nail grinding and trimmed her feet hair, which gets pretty long, they also gave her a sanitary trim and I think it came with an air cleaning and a scented spritz. It was only $17 because they have this thing called yucky hour. Overall, I felt like it was a great value and definitely well worth the money.on a separate note I also get my dogs food here, I get them the simply nourish food and I think it's a really good value as well. read more

FIRST TIME THAT we've had a good experience with grooming my MALTIPOO , TEDDY. We only do the bath & brush because we've had tooo many bad experiences & I don't want him botched. So I thought I'd leave a review because for the first time after trying many different locations this one has left our dog as expected . With no complaints . The service was the fastest he's gotten EVER. Even though we were not in a rush, shockingly impressed. He smells good (never leaves the groomers smelling good at other petsmart locations) His nails feet and Fanny ACTUALLY LOOK serviced (other locations claim to do it but it never looks like they actually did anything) The service was so good . And they didn't charge extra for brushing him . They always try to charge me double or 3x extra for brushing him because they say he has too much hair . He's a poodle mix I get it . But still. And they usually take 3-5hrs to finish him at other locations and this location got him done in 1hr so shocking and mindblown . Thank you kristie for amazing work . read more

I have been using Banfield for quite some time now since my puppy was nine weeks old. The puppy will now be seven tomorrow lol this location has so much stuff to choose from very white selection of dog food very white selection of cat food and also I recently a beta fish since I had a 6 1/2 gallon Arium and figured it was looking lonely so I adopted a beta who is probably one of the sweetest betas I've ever gotten will swim right up to the surface and has made a wonderful addition to my family this location also has online for you to check, you're worried about going to the store and they don't have it. I would recommend checking out petsmart.com And what items you're looking for curbside which is very convenient in case you don't wanna go inside and shop they bring it right to your convenience plus every time you put your phone number in you add up to get points off of your purchases. this is one of my favorite Petsmart in the area Establishment very friendly employees very clean establishment. They also offer catch towers for people looking for large cat towers and they also offer crates and much more. This is one of my favorite places. Take note that the prices on the shelf have no relation to the actual prices that will ring up at the register. The Purina Pro cat food was listed at 1.00 each, it rang up as 1.10. I bought it anyway, then hated myself after checking Amazon and finding out it was 20% cheaper there, with free delivery. Then, Petsmart has the nerve to ask for a donation for an unnamed charity that will provide money for some unidentified thing, which the corporation will take all the tax credit for. Awful treatment by the groomer Freida ER. We have taken our dog without issue to PetSmart for two years. We have been loyal costumers throughout this time. Food, toys and grooming services can add up as any pet owner knows. This morning I forgot about her appointment and called my husband at 856 . He called the Lincoln store to let them know of his tardiness and was placed on hold for a few minutes. He was told that a late fee would apply if he was more than 15 minutes late. This was interesting we never had been late before. He rushed to PetSmart and arrived at 917. The groomer Freida met him and told him he was too late and she could not help. He asked for another groomer and she said no one will help. True, our dog is not a fan of being groomed, but to be so rude about. Why the hostility? Poor customer service PetSmart, are you so large of a company that losing 1 customer doesn't matter? Shame on you! read more

The store itself is fine. Always people at the cash register or quick when I have an online pick up. Never seen messes from animals on the ground. They have good stock of items I need. However, their trainer has rubbed me the wrong way on several occasions. She has several times approached my dog when I enter the store even when my dog shows signs of anxiety and I've tried to politely decline her giving a treat. She then has several times offered me advice I didn't ask for (we have a trainer and have goals were working on for this). She doesn't seem to remember me or my dog even though we're in there frequently and I've told her we're already working with a trainer on several occasions. I've walked past her without eye contact and she followed me into an aisle to try to "help me" find an item then began selling me on training with her. She also was telling bad experiences she had with other trainers in the area which I found pretty unprofessional even if she didn't name drop. I think she's passionate about what she does and knows there are bad trainers out there but I wish she'd let me shop in peace when I've already tried to explain I'm comfortable with my trainer. Let me start with this review is not about the store itself but rather the groomer. So I went to pick my dog up when we were about to leave I looked down and noticed all this blood. The groomer had cut one of her back nails to short and wasn't even going to say anything. So she comes running out with this stuff to stop the bleeding and says it's no biggie this happens all the time. Let me tell you people blood was literally squirting out of her nail. There was no way she cut her nail that low and didn't notice. One of the only reasons I have taken her to a groomer is because I'm afraid I will cut her nails too short because hello I don't groom dogs for a living. Needless to say I won't be taking her there again. I should add she was able to get it to stop bleeding. read more

I have been taking my dog to Petsmart for a few years. I loved it. The groomers, Maria (no longer there-changed careers) and Julia are great. Wednesday's were the best days that worked for me. Now they are closed. They have become busy so it's difficult to get an appointment if you leave and forget to set one up for future visit. Recently, my dog was diagnosed with congenital heart failure and will not trim her nails. I'm done with Petsmart. Most times I've gone in to buy an item and they don't carry it. We brought our dog in for a full bath and nail trim a couple months ago. When I picked her up, I asked the grooming staff how she did. They said good but she screamed through the whole nail trim. I thought that was weird because she's never had any issues. I still tipped and left. Today I take her to a groomer where you're in the room while they trim the nails. Right when she saw my dogs nails she said there were a few growing in wrong because whoever trimmed them last cut them so short they must have bled. My dog didn't make any noise during this trim and was happy as could be. Don't ever bring your dog here for a nail trim especially if they have dark nails. read more

I do like coming here, my gecko enjoys that I bring him cricket treats.. The girls at the register are friendly, they see me a few days a week. I like how clean the store is and I enjoy seeing the reptiles they have... as if I'm going to buy another.. I'm thinking about it, lol I do wish the workers here were a little more observant when it comes to getting crickets for customers. Although friendly, the girls up front are oblivious to me standing right in front of the crickets. It's like I have to remind them every few days that I'm here for crickets, even though I'm standing there, patiently waiting. They'll be chatting away with each other, or helping customers, but when they're done ringing up customers, they still don't move a muscle to help me unless I walk back over to them after they're done talking. When I was finally helped by the girl that is pregnant, I was talking about how the large crickets don't live too long. She didn't respond back. As she tired the cricket bag, I asked her to tie it a certain way so it was easier to open the bag.. she rolled her eyes and didn't change the tie. So I told her I would do it. The only thing she had to say me was- you're crickets are probably dying because you keep them in the bag. What does that have to do with the way we are tying this bag? Felt like she was taking jabs at me, trying to make me feel incompetent, bc I asked her to tie the bag so it would be easier for me to open... If it's too much work for you, maybe you shouldn't be working here. read more

I love this PetSmart and it's my go to for food, treats, accessories, training, vet appointments and grooming (A lab, corgi and adorable kitty). Everyone is always so helpful and nice and every time I call, I reach someone and they're so informative. They encourage questions, answers are knowledgeable and courteous, and my pets LOVE them, especially Julia! They always give helpful reminders about my appointments and what paperwork to bring and every five a courtesy call the day prior as an appointment reminder. They even have given updates and calls when my babies are almost ready or ready to be picked up. Don't know what someone's deal is but it seems like they were not prepared or are upset because they didn't come prepared and want to point the blame on someone else! Tsk tsk. Even the Banfield employees are amazing! Really makes for a one stop shop and my babies are taken care of in every way. LOVE THIS PETSMART for this area and I've been to quite a few in the area. read more

Normally, I have good experiences here. But a couple weeks ago I did not. There was a fresh dog turd on the primary aisle and nobody seemed to notice it, until I pointed it out to a nearby employee. Before I reached the counter there was the male cashier and another employee, female, engaged in a conversation. I put my small items on the conveyer belt and left my huge bag of cat litter in the shopping cart. I had a bag of dry food, canned items and other small packaged items for my kitty. The cashier asked for a phone number, and once he got that he began scanning the items slowly, which told me he was new (a young black fella); a handsome guy, but he was too much interested in the female standing behind him, who was asking him personal questions about his likes and thoughts and so forth. It was a conversation that had taken place before I got to the counter, having to wait behind an older male customer in front of me. The cashier guy tallied my order on the conveyer belt, put the items in a bag, telling me the price. It sounded about right for the items that were scanned, yet I pointed to the litter in my shopping cart and asked, "' Did you get that?'" The cashier looked amazed and exclaimed, "'Oh no! Oh!'" And he grabbed the hand-held scanner and gave it a zap. The female had a startled look on her face as well, because she did not notice that either. She was way too involved in socializing and distracting him from his job. I paid the correct amount with my debit card, got the receipt, and as I was starting to be leaving to the doors; the two of them began talking to each other once again. Unbelievable. read more

I have lived in Lincoln for 8 years and have been taking my Standard Poodle to the grooming salon. The grooming salon raised their price $40.00 without notification. When I went to pick him up there was a drastic increase. It would have seemed like a professional move to have consulted me first and since Jen the salon manager had called me the week before to change his appointment time. I have always tipped her anywhere between 30 & 40.00 and I really feel disrespected by her actions. My dog doesn't like the blow dryer so basically he is air dried and I keep his coat down to pretty much the skin so he doesn't require much brushing. He only has Pom poms on his feet and a top knot but the ears are even cut very close. On one occasion she allowed him to fall off of the grooming table with the noose around his neck and we could not touch his neck for a month without him crying. I have several pets, rabbit, Guinea pig, hamster, 10 parakeets, and three other dogs a mastiff, frenchie, And a Shih Tzu and three 125 gallon Aquariums and I have spent thousands of dollars in Petsmart. As a result of the disrespect I refuse to do business with pet smart anymore and I have canceled my AutoShip with chewy.com. I'm sure Amazon and other pet stores would love my business. This is not the only problem that I've had with Petsmart on another occasion one of the girls that groomed my poodle skinned him to the bone cutting his rectum and totally shaved him because she was mad that I was five minutes late for the appointment. I had actually called the grooming salon to say I was running late they told me it was ok and to bring Buddy and when I arrived the girl in the grooming salon started yelling at me being disrespectful in front of other customers then told me I was not allowed in the grooming salon but I turned the other cheek and continued to have my dog groomed there but this is the last straw because there are other places in the area one being the muddy paws in Olivehurst that is a grooming professional for show dogs and comes highly recommended def by other poodle owners and are reasonable in price and though Amazon I am able to get my same shipment without using pet-smart. No one likes to be disrespected or taken advantage of and I have spent a lot of money patronizing this business.I plan to complain through pet-smart corporate. read more

We moved recently and purchased a home that involved extensive renovation. This resulted in an extended hotel stay for wife and me and several days boarding for our male, 13 year old Siamese cat. Of course, this was a major environmental change for our cat. We wanted to do whatever we could to help him comfortably adjust to his new home. PetSmart was nearby so we stopped in and looked around for ideas. We were quickly assisted by a very helpful, knowledgeable staff member. She spent a full 15 minutes or more showing us various options along with supporting information ... including personal experience. Ultimately we included cat calming pheromones in our shopping cart. Thanks to the helpful advice from our sales clerk, we opted for a diffuser. The outcome was fantastic. Our cat adjusted to his new home quickly and the pheromone diffuser was only needed for about 3 weeks (less than the advertised life of the pheromone oil in the diffuser). I should have trusted my instincts. I took my pup here for a quick nail trim because a friend said he takes his dog there. She took him in the back (dragged him more like) for, I don't know what. I heard a yelp. He sometimes does one when he is in a place he doesn't want to be so I gave it a minute. She brought him back out front and proceeded with trimming his nails. the first nail she cut he yelped again and she asked for Quickstop. She was talking to him like he was a bad dog. Every other groomer I have ever taken him to says how well behaved he is. As soon as she asked for the quickstop I stopped the whole thing. If I was ok with him bleeding or being hurt I would cut his nails myself. I take him to professionals so that they can do it better than me. I was so mad leaving that place and will not be going back. Additionally, I felt like they were all looking at me like they wanted me to leave like they had something to hide. read more

This is the worst store ever. Pet smart in general their customer service is just awful. I went there with my new puppy to get her collar and a bag of food and some toys. All of which petco has in stock which I'm not sure why I didn't just go there. They have the best customer service and are AMAZING with returns unlike pet smart. I drive home which is about 2 hours away from the pet smart and I go to feed my new puppy and there are maggots in the bag. Literal maggots crawling out of the food bag and I hadn't even opened it yet. So I saved myself from throwing up and tied in a bag thinking pet smart would totally understand and give me my refund on their inflated puppy food prices but now. I called every customer service line and they said I would have to come back in store and return it. I offered to send a picture of my receipt and a picture of the food or a video so they knew it was real and they said no. Worst customer service ever. Awfully rude too. I come to this store fairly often and always have a great experience. Sometimes I bring my dog to walk around and train for a while when I just need something small, and the staff are always pleasant and helpful practicing polite greetings. Shady also recently started getting some services done in the grooming salon. I am so appreciative of how patient the staff members are with my high energy boy! I really like this Petsmart. We just got a new dog and needed to take her in for a fitting of collars, leashes and attire (girl dog, yes she needs to get dressed up sometimes!). They had a great selection of cute leashes and collars. We were approached by a very friendly employee who helped walk us around to find the items we needed. Our new dog is 2 years old and she is doggy door trained so we had a lot of questions as far as wall mounting it or the addition to the slider. The employee was a wealth of knowledge and we decided we will find a great wall mount. The price for their wallmount was on the higher end of standard pricing so we will be shopping around. I really love the employees here. They know how to talk to dogs, approach them and ask their humans if treats are ok. We outfitted both our dogs with new tags. While their pricing is almost $20 for the tag, it is absolutely adorable and engraved on both sides. They had a fairly decent selection for boys and girls. The pricing on food is great and we can find our brand there. Definitely convenient parking and in a shopping center with Target and Starbucks (a must for me!). read more

We also purchased a cockatiel here a couple years ago. "He" was sold to us as a male, paperwork and all. You can imagine my surprise when "he" laid an egg this spring.
