Parking is on the side of the building but limited. Street parking is free but I usually can find a spot on the side of the building or in front. Proceeds of this place goes to helping cats and providing low fee or free services. The store itself is small but it has so much packed in. There are items for your cat family, clothing for men and women, shoes, lots of purses, lots of jewelry, DVDs, CDs, books, cookbooks, appliances, furniture, and more. I wish I took more pictures because mine do not do it justice. They also have a lot of sales and the prices are already low. Sometimes they have free items in front of the store. After I look at everything, I drop off my basket by the cashier and go into the cat cafe, champys. There is comfortable seating and cat toys you can use to engage with the kitties. Our Akitas are now 2 years old and so we decided this is a good time to do a review for the Breeder Don. We went to his home and he was very welcoming. We sat in his office and he showed us all his dogs on the computer then took us to his dog kingdom. Such beautiful Akitas and all very well taken care of, he explained as we walked around which of the dogs were female and pregnant/ ready to give birth and so on. We stated that we did not want an Alpha, because we are a family and want to share our love with our akita. Don, let us pick which ever dog we wanted, but suggested based on what we wanted which of the litter would be best for us. Well/...it's been two years now and I have to say we LOVE our doggies one is male and one is female and they are so good with people and children not other dogs, but then again we've spent a lot of time socializing them to humans. Such great temperaments on our dogs and so loving even to strangers that walk into our house. I wish we can get another one now from Don Royalty Akitas because I know his breed and I know we will not be disappointed. I am very happy about my boy Kuma ( which I named after his father) " Bear " and my girl Luna after a female Akita Don had who was such a happy and energetic girl and also loved Don so much! We had booked a private tour for his birthday to meet the rescue animals who call this beautiful place home. Yasmin met us at the entrance and, after swapping shoes for some solid boots, gave us a very honest, very real, and very important rundown of industrial agriculture. Now, I have to add, neither of us are vegan or even vegetarian, but Yasmin proved to be an actively non judgmental, compassionate host. She walked us through the grounds, addressing each animal by name, and was full of knowledge and insight! After the initial meet and greet, we were off! We hiked across the beautiful grounds and met tons of sheep (Jet loved my partner!) goats, and pigs; all of the animals roam freely, coming and going as they please. It was actually delightful how so many of the animals came up to say hi and hang out out of their own volition! We brought some grapes for the chickens and they LOVED them! But oh my god, the turkeys. Wow, just, two little friendly, fluffy orbs that floated around our party showing off while Yasmin gave us an informed and empathetic story about them. She did that at every habitat; letting us in, introducing us (by name!) to the boldest of the bunch, and explaining how they ended up at Animal Place. It was an entirely wonderful, enlightening experience. Also, fyi, turkeys are so soft. I cannot recommend this organization enough. 10/10, please give Conrad an extra treat for me!
