We received no notice of her leaving and no referral to another surgeon within the group. Dr. Andrews had treated my husband for many years, operating on both his shoulders and both his knees. My husband had to return about every six months for cortisone injections. Cincinnati Sports Medicine left my husband hanging without a doctor. When we called to set an appt. with Dr. Andrews, we were told by a scheduler that Dr. Andrews was no longer there. We had no choice but to schedule an appt. with a surgeon that was unknown to us. When my husband went to the appointment, the doctor didn't have a clue as to my husband's issues or previous surgeries. Apparently he hadn't even taken the time to review my husband's chart before the appt. We have found another surgeon at BEACON ORTHOPAEDICS and want my husband's medical records sent there, but Cincinnati Sports Medicine is making that a nightmare too. No procedure for obtaining medical records is listed on the website and we can't get a human being to answer the phone. I'm glad we are leaving CSM after all these years. They are not the patient oriented group they used to be.

Check in was quick, prep was even quicker, and the entire time my son was in surgery I knew what stage he was in. After surgery they called me while I was in the waiting room to go over the procedure amd any questions I had. Recovery the ladies were amazing and answered everything I came up with after already being asked lol. They quickly got us discharged but did not rush us, we were ready lol.

She is very professional, very…read moregood at explaining what she has found, and even draws a picture and potential treatment paths so that it is easy to visualize and understand. And when I say a picture, I mean she draws on a sheet of paper, and you can read it. A doctor with good handwriting is rare, my friends. Dr. Andrews likes to take a conservative approach, which I appreciate. The last thing I want to do is incur unnecessary costs or recovery. In my experience, she does not overprescribe, she does not ignore the patient's preferences, and she seeks long-term improvement. I first saw Dr. Andrews in 2001, and when I decided to get my knee problems resolved, I looked and was so happy to see that Dr. Andrews still practiced here in the area. He's incredibly thorough and the trainers/assistants around the office are also wonderful - they're all beautiful, which was startling but aspirational. We were told they were running 40 minutes behind, but ended up waiting 2 hours, which wasn't ideal. It was also the day before Thanksgiving though, so I sort of get it. Overall, I had a pretty good pre-op experience. However, when my sister came here 3 years ago for ACL reconstruction, she never regained feeling in the front of her shin. When she called about it, they said it probably wasn't their fault. I can recommend Beacon and Kremchek for any sports-related injury, but my sister wouldn't say the same. So take that for whatever it's worth. UPDATE: I'm a month out from surgery and I have healed remarkably quickly thanks to the stud Physical Therapy team. So, I dropped the score for Kremchek not the entirety of the team. Beacon as an organization has been wonderful, but I've been continually unimpressed with Kremchek as a person/doctor. The appointment I had remove my brace (read: leg cage) was on the calendar for a month, but I got a call a few days beforehand that said it had to be moved due to Reds spring training or something. I was going to have to wait another week or two to get my brace taken off, even though my healing progressed well enough to remove it. I had to ask to be seen by another doc because this brace is the PITS and I want it off ASAP. So I am seeing Valezquez. It's just obvious that Kremchek prioritizes his celebrity (well, it's the Reds, so maybe that's not the right word) clients over average people.

So don't bother arriving at your scheduled time, arrive there around an hour late for your appointment and you might only have to wait 15 minutes or so. The staff knows there is a problem, and while apologetic, is powerless to do anything about it as the doc sets her own appt schedule. The upside of the attention she pays to you once you FINALLY get to see her does not outweigh the extraordinarily poor customer service and callous disregard for a patient's time. If you have an afternoon to kill schedule an appointment - you will receive good medical attention - if not find a doc who books a reasonable amount of patients in a day.
