What an amazing little bakery. We love coming here to grab breakfast sandwiches or pastries and they never disappoint. Their plain croissants are so beautifully flakey and large, and taste delicious. The biscuits are buttery, flavorful, and moist. Just recently we got their donuts which were delicious and beautifully decorated. The cinnamon rolls are hard to beat with a mix of sweet and savory with cinnamon in a gooey bun. I could list all the pastries I've tried (of course not all in one sitting), but instead I recommend you drive over to Fields of Heather and put together a little box sampling a bunch of different items. I know they also make cupcakes and cakes but we just haven't tried them yet, though I'm sure they're delicious too! read more

They did so good on my daughter's cake! The frosting was fluffy and dense at the same time. They said it could feed 13 - 23 people and it definitely could feed more! We had about 16 people to feed and only half the cake was eaten. There was plenty to send home with guests! Such a great job and the staff and owner are so nice, patient, and pleasant! read more

I went out of my way to visit this bakery a few years ago because I heard they had gluten free items. When I asked who I believe was the owner more details about the ingredients due to my dietary sensitivities she seemed very annoyed that I would ask. There are some gluten free flour alternatives that I cannot tolerate. After that unpleasant exchange I have not had the courage to return again. I would recommend to call first if you have specific ingredient questions due to dietary restrictions. Hopefully this was just an off day. read more

We've been visiting FOH for a few years now. My kids (and I) love the breakfast sandwiches and especially the big selection of yummy sweets I feel like Heather has seen our family grow through our trips into the bakery. She's always so sweet when we bust in with the carseat carrier and chaos. We've had chair falls and coffee spills, and still Heather and everyone there is so kind and accommodating Best of all, everything is absolutely delicious! Such a good bakery! When we stepped inside, boy did we smell a whole lot of goodness! We got the apple-cinnamon-raisin cake, cinnamon roll, and some cookies. Ordered a cake over the phone with Heather directly. Requested pricing and design (briefly). The only direction was it's a Gucci theme and I did not want it to look like a Christmas cake. Heather was up for the challenge, did her own research and DELIVERED! My only feedback on the cake (which had great flavor) is that I would have liked the cream cheese icing to not me as thick on the outside of the cake and there have been a layer of icing in the middle of the sheet cake. Overall, the flavor, moisture and consistency of the cake were great. We will order again. read more

Cupcakes and other pastries are good. Sometimes the cases aren't stocked when we go in, especially with the cupcakes. They have breakfast sandwiches which are also good. I have tried to place cake orders before and the owner doesn't really work well with you. Sometimes she says she's too busy or can't do what I'm requesting which is totally fine. But she says it in a manner that seems like she is annoyed and agitated. Which is not how a customer wants to feel, and makes me reluctant to go back. My fiancé and I went to Fields of Heather Bakery yesterday for our wedding cake tasting. Heather was very welcoming and her bakery was so cute! It smelt amazing as soon as we walked in. My husband and I absolutely loved our wedding cake from Fields of Heather! In fact we always say that they were definitely one of our favorite vendors :) They worked with our florist to decorate our cake with some of the same flowers we used in the ceremony and the bouquets, and it was absolutely beautiful. We ended up doing a tier circular cake that was red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and the extra sheet cake was raspberry with white chocolate filling. We would highly recommend!! read more

More like a 3.5. The breakfast sandwiches are usually delicious (although inconsistent-weekends seem better than weekdays). The staff tend to be very friendly and clean. From I can see they practice good hand hygiene and still wear masks when serving food which is great. Their cupcakes leave a lot to be desired. They are nowhere near as tasty as Sprinkles or Georgetown Cupcake. They kind of remind me of boxed cupcakes with the jar of hard spreadable icing. The flavors are not interesting and there are not a lot of flavors. I would return for the breakfast sandwiches but can't recommend the cupcakes or brownies. They're just meh. read more

Excellent bakery. Their Jewish Apple Cake is the best around and my family favorite. Have never had anything I did not like.

Don't be fooled by almost passing this place by as its in a small outdoor strip but the coffee and pastries are so delicious fresh and lovely. I picked three thinking I will eat 2 in the week later and ate them all in one go. read more

Friendly clerks and a delicious product but the hours aren't very extensive. On a Friday, you may want to pick up something for weekend guests or parties.. You have to get there by 5:30 or they are closed! I seldom get out of work early enough to make it on time. I guess this is better for my waistline. It's well that they have nice clerks waiting on the customers because the lady who owns it does most of the baking in the back and when I meet her eyes, she seems very sad and never smiles back:( That's too bad because she is a great product and a good thing going and she should be very happy about that! If I could bake like this, I would be jumping for joy and blissfully happy for every customer who comes in the store! read more

I went to try this bakery out, since I saw many photos of cupcakes on the review sites. When I arrived, around noon, there were no cupcakes and nothing that really seemed appealing. To be polite, I purchased some cookie dough bites (for $5) and two chocolate chip cookies. The cookies tasted okay, however, the cookie dough balls tasted stale and very old and instead of dough, they crumbled and were pasty - very terrible taste and inedible. I went back in and asked if I could return them and did not ask for my money back - but asked for an exchange - maybe a few more of the .80 cent chocolate chip cookies. The owner said no - she does not do that. I will not be returning due to the poor customer service and due to not being able to trust the freshness of the food. read more

I very disappointed in the decorating on this cake it looked like child did it, I ask for Maryland flag colors I guess the young man who took the order didn't know what Maryland flag colors were. The crabs did not look like crabs. It look the use the same dish I would use to bake 9x 13 cake at home because the corners were round and side slope. I also ordered a chocolate chip cake, well cutting into the cake I didn't see any chocolate chips . It look like they forgot put the chips in the batter and baked it so the throw them onto top before they spread icing. This was the 1st time I use this bakery and the last time. We went to the Bay for a short vacation and stopped in here for a midday snack. As a baker I'm always leery of other people baking desserts. I tried the Funfetti Blondie and found it to be moist, soft, and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. My husband had a peanut butter dessert that he enjoyed as well. They also served gluten free and vegan baked goods and they had super reasonable prices. I'm so tired of $4 cupcakes other places but you won't find that here. We used Fields of Heather for our wedding cake in September 2013. For a tasting, Heather gave us so many flavor combinations it was hard to choose from. Snickerdoodle? Apple Cider? Chocolate Guinness!? Too many choices! She had us come in to taste four 6" mini cakes after we narrowed it down to four flavors. The leftovers were ours to take back and reaffirm our choice with friends/family. More cake to take home with us?! Yes, please! She never questioned our various requests and didn't bat an eye when we asked to change the cake from one flavor to two a couple weeks before the wedding. The end result was a beautiful cake that tasted amazing. We had flavors for a cake no one else is likely to repeat and our guests are still talking about it!
