Fiesta at North Star is like visiting every street in Laredo or Nogales all in one air conditioned space! Wow! Wall to wall floor to ceiling Fiesta goods from fiesta dresses and shirts, pinatas, dolls, flowers, everything bright and colorful and handmade by south of the border artisans. Some prices are super affordable, like paper flower hair wreaths and Lele dolls. Other items like embroidered fiesta dresses are pricier. I paid $38 for a child's fiesta dress but she looked so cute in it that it was worth it. There is also a Dia de los Muertos museum and large area of items to purchase. If you can't find it here I doubt it is available. The whole place is a bright color explosion and the staff is helpful and available. There is a little eatery inside that I will review separately. All said and done this Fiesta at North Star is a bright visit to a fun place with that Tejano vibe that makes SATX fabulous. read more

Fiesta at North Star represents many of the items that I grew up with in San Antonio, TX. San Antonio is known for many festive celebrations and associated celebratory pieces such as clothing, hair pieces and other accessories. Fiesta at North Star feels like a celebration or party! Talk about sensory overload...your eyes see nothing but bold colors. As you scan the room, you see bright embroidered pueblo dresses hanging from racks (still own a couple), strings of papel picado flying overhead, and shelves overflowing with decorations with the spirit of San Antonio's Fiesta. The store is bold, busy, and totally festive. The space is larger than it looks from the outside...deep and wide. There is virtually no dead space. Everywhere you look you find a new discovery...handcrafted items that reflected a deep connection to Mexican and Latin American culture. The store has a wide range of authentic Fiesta merchandise and cultural goods. In fact, I saw the tissue paper flowers, large and small, throughout the store. I have fond memories of placing one the flowers or a band of flowers in my hair during the Battle of Flowers or Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) parades. The decorations, music, and overall layout are designed to immerse visitors in the culture of Fiesta. Most items are pretty reasonably priced. However, the larger pinatas and more intricate items could cost more. In addition, staff is available throughout the store to assist you. Fiesta At North Star was a great experience, I entered into a burst of color that made my senses happy. They have so much to offer for decorating purposes in home or for parties and grand gatherings. I was so glad to be able to stop by and explore. They have piñatas, boy and girl gender reveal wreaths, colorful 4th of July everything like Fiesta crowns and hats, clothes, dresses, panchos, candy and the greatest new addition of just 2 months open is the panadería cafe and lunch spot inside the store called Dulce Tradición! You will absolutely love it, this is a great spot to take kids in general. Also, you would need to give yourself some time to go from the front of the store to the back because there is so much to see and an hour is not enough, maybe two trips if you want, your choice. Just a suggestion because I would need to go back again. I got some cookies at Dulce Tradición and they are so good and perfect and festive like shaped like hearts and perfectly made in house. I love this store, very San Antonio. Everything you need for a celebration, fiesta, day of the dead or a Spurs party. The staff is very nice and genuinely helpful. There is so much products from clothes, to decorations and piñatas. I had stopped into buy my Spurs flower crown for only $3.50, so affordable and handmade. I was their new coffee shop in the back of the store and it did not disappoint! I will definitely be back in for a latte, pan dulce and a tour of their day of the dead museum. read more

On the second level of Fiesta At North Star is a Dia de los Muertos museum. The cost to enter the museum is $6.46 per person. Pretty inexpensive. There is a fair amount of history in this museum. There is also a lot to see here. They have many masks and full body statues on display. There are also several video displays. The museum takes up half of their second floor and runs the length of their store. Fiesta at North Star also sells many party supplies for all occasions. read more

I came here because I needed a few fiesta themed items for a a virtual part (you know... covid and social distancing). After looking online, I realized how reasonable their prices were compared to ordering from an online shop and paying shipping. There is so much stuff! Tons of clothing items (they have dressing rooms to try things on), decor, flower crowns in so many color combos, confetti eggs, wreaths, glasswear, etc. I'd suggest looking online and getting an idea of what you want. The employees were very helpful, showing me where the items I specially come in for were located. And of course I found a couple more items to purchase. There were only a few other people shopping in there so it was easy to keep a safe distance. Like most businesses right now, they are requiring you wear a face mask and have markings on the floor for check out. They also had hand sanitizer at the checkout which I really appreciated. When I think of San Antonio, Fiesta and all it's bright colors come to mind. Fiesta store has everything you're looking; piñatas, wreaths, masks, ponchos, anything fiesta related. I stopped in with my mom to show her what they had to offer. (I had been once on a previous occasion when I was looking for a piñata for a party.) She was amazed by the assortment of things they carried. They always carry a large amount of items year around with new additions based on the season. The quality of things are great, some items are a bit on the pricy side. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I did hear an announcement of a museum open upstairs, that I definitely need to check out next time I stop in. If you haven't been, I would recommend you stopping by to have a look at their items. Fiesta at North Star is simply amazing! I was on the hunt for home decorations and party supplies for a Mexico's Independence Day dinner. My initial thought was to visit Fiesta On Main, but unfortunately they've closed that location due to COVID-19, and instead visited their newer location behind North Star Mall. This store is GIANT and they have so many different items from all over Mexico. Frankly, I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning with all the different items they had, but one of their employees helped me find exactly what I needed. Their "mexican flag" items (green, white and red) selection isn't as large, but was able to find some really cool stuff. I also noticed they have a Day of the Dead museum located on their second floor of the store (which I'll definitely check out sometime). If you are going to be making an altar this Dia de Muertos, I definitely recommend stopping by this store to get some decorations and sugar skulls. read more

Wow. What an assortment of all things bright. A very nice display of cloth masks in various patterns and colors. Most are $4.50 with elastic ear loops. Others are $6.50 if they are more elaborate in design. I purchased four total. My company is now mandating wearing a mask all the time, unless you are alone in an office. I share the office with another person. Besides masks...piñatas, blouses, dresses (dressing rooms available), men's shirts, pull-over and guayabera-type, decorated t-shirts, purses, porcelain items, sugar skulls of all types (the only skull mask was white, so I passed on it). I'm sure I've missed a bunch of stuff to mention. Plenty of friendly staff to assist you. This is a large warehouse setting, not much AC, but do have several fans throughout. Today was pretty humid, so I didn't linger. Go there. read more

Viva Fiesta! This store keeps Fiesta rocking all year long. This is the place in town to go for a bunch of stuff imported straight from Mexico. They have so much colorful stuff here- it's a trip just to go through the racks of merchandise and inventory. There's a whole pinata section- they have a wide array of different types of pinatas for all your pinata needs. They've got letters, cutesy princesses, Batman, Spiderman, Spongebob, luchadors- they've got so many! There's a huge selection of dresses. They all kind of have the same pattern of flowers embroidered on the front. There's a guyabera area, and a place to get all the mojo items in order to make your own Dia de los Muertos shrine. It's not just clothing, but they also have room decor and kitchen types of stuff. It's a good place to go if you're celebrating Cinco de Mayo or just want to give your life a little salsa and spice. All of this stuff is imported straight from Mexico. Yea, it's cheaper across the border, but they've gone and picked it up for you and brought it to North Star. All the prices are clearly marked. There's some good deals on some of the stuff, while some of the others are ridiculously overpriced. $2.50 per bottle of "Fiesta water?" LOL! There's a whole Dia de los Muertos museum that's upstairs that requires an admission charge. I've never been up there. It seems like it'd be more of the same stuff they're selling downstairs. This place is pretty incredible and had EXACTLY was I was looking for at the right price - a farm themed piñata! I was looking for a piñata, had checked a recommended hole in the wall spot, and couldn't find what I needed. I jumped online, and one person wanted to charge a crazy amount. We arrived here and found a reasonably sized piñata at the right price. Aside from that, you can find Fiesta themed anything in this store year round. Items are displayed well and the stores sections items into various sections. They also have the cute embroidered Mexican dresses and guayaberas. If you're planning a Fiesta themed party or designing room in the house, come here first! The only thing that was super weird what that the piñata were in a locked room. A cashier unlocked the door for us, and then left the room. We were then able to walk out of the piñata room at anytime. read more

He is a 59 year old man. He is someone that doesn't like to visit stores often, due always feeling anxious around a lot of people. This Fiesta Store is such a convenient location, ample amounts of parking, and its HUGE! The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because they have nothing to put your things in while your shopping, I mean I don't need a shopping cart, but a basket would be nice. Its a tad overwhelming, so take you time walking around, taking it all in. They have everything you need for Fiesta! Clothing, paper flowers, wreaths, pinatas, things to put in your own Fiesta wreath, cascarones, jewelry, ornaments, purses, furniture. You name it, they most likely have it! This place is awesome except they don't allow strollers. I have an 11 month old that weights 20 pounds and does not walk yet so a stroller is necessary. I know they are trying to protect their products but maybe they should reconsider this. I was so excited to come here! I was looking forward to coming all week! I LOVE fiesta sooooo much!!!!!!! However, as soon as I got there I noticed the "No Strollers" allowed signs EVERYWHERE. I thought it was a joke. I seriously packed our tiny stroller so I could shop easily. Turns out it wasn't a joke. I was stopped as soon as I walked in and told I could leave my stroller at the front but I could not take it any further. I asked if I was expected to shop and carry my baby at the same time. She said yes because they do not have shopping carts. That alone is enough for me to never come back. But then you add how rude all but maybe 2 workers were. Yeah, no thanks.
