This is my second time coming to Traders village. I was here last year for a VW show, and got to walk around a little bit and see everything that they were doing. I really like the vibe of this place, as it reminds me of the swap meets we used to have back in Orange county at the fairgrounds. One thing I will say about this place is that the large awnings Make for a comfortable time to wander around if the sun is out. And that sun gets hot. The other thing I like about this place is how well kept the grounds are, it's lush and green and has plenty of spaces to bring out whatever it is you would like to sell. The other thing that's great is this is perfect for any kind of car show. The Volkswagen show that I attended easily could hold 350 to 400 cars. All of the staff that I've met have been great, and this place is run like a well-oiled machine. Bottom line? I will definitely be coming back here as long as the car shows are still happening. You should come check this out on a Saturday or Sunday because you never know what you're going to find here. read more

I'm not sure what the bad reviews are for - it's a flea market. Sure some people have the random mass produced garbage...but lots of the stalls have some awesome finds. My son and I went looking for collectible cards and action figures and toys and found some amazing options for very reasonable prices. Lots of the stalls are cheaper than Goodwill with more targeted selections. We will be back!!! read more

I made a pit stop in San Antonio to check out Traders Village on a Sunday. Why do you ask? For the goats, of course. Traders Village is not a goat sanctuary. It's a massive flea market. Beyond the market, they also have food and a petting zoo. The petting zoo (for a fee) allows you to interact with an assortment of farm animals including goats, donkeys, llamas, chickens, rabbits, and more. Beyond the entrance fee, you can purchase food if you'd like to feed the animals. I'm a fan of goats. They're funny. They hop sideways. I like their energy. Speaking of fees, you have to pay for parking in a large lot to enter which doesn't make much sense. A little nickel and diming but I did enjoy hanging out with the animals. If you're into flea markets, this may be your spot. It's a big one. read more

Lots of vendors to choose from/wide selections. Everyone is friendly. The items being sold are at a great value. This venue is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking for only six dollars. Restrooms were spacious, lots of stalls, fully stocked, and super clean! There are several food and beverage vendors throughout as well. We will definitely return again soon! read more

They make you pay $6 to get into a huge dirty noisy flea market with not enough food. Dirt everywhere. Stinky animals to smell all day. Screaming kids and noisy music playing everywhere. And if you want to sell there the rules only apply to new people not the ones who have been there. They get more space then they paid for and if you complain they threaten you with expulsion. Came for the Corn Maize... yes we got some CORN in a cup too. Delicious. This maize was fun, we got lost intentionally haha. The only thing I'd hate to say is I wish they were able to have this in the evening because TX is hottttt in "fall". Overall fairly easy to get to & had a great time. read more

This review is for the food truck Asian To Go at Trader's Village. The food was fresh and hot, made to order, which is rare nowadays. The staff are amiable and genuinely appreciate your business. I highly recommend the lemonade. It is not too tart and not too sweet. It is very balanced. The sweet tea is good also. My favorite here is the egg rolls. These are some of the best I've had here in SA. The wait for the food was reasonable, given that it was cooked fresh. They have a really good selection of foods to choose from. Having seen the Trader's Village in Dallas and Houston, I had a feeling I'd be seeing something similar in San Antonio. Revolving around flea market shopping, kiddie rides, outdoor activities, this whole operation feels like a fair / festival that never ends. It is a fun destination for gifts and miscellaneous shopping and is the consummate family friendly destination. Located on the far west side of the SA, it feels like true departure from the city. There are acres of land surrounding an endless sea of parking, vendor spaces, and (during the fall) corn fields. There is a $10 entrance fee and lots of opportunities to get those steps in. It seems obvious to note that this is highly dependent on good weather days. I've managed to find some interesting stuff at the marketplace, from art pieces to car parts. There was also furniture and numerous kid friendly items from toys to accessories. There are even appliances, handbags galore, and even $1 items to compete with the likes of Dollar Tree (#1). While many vendors accept credit card, I would highly suggest bringing a good bit of cash. There are ATMs available all throughout the property. In addition to shopping, this is the perfect spot to kill time and people watch. Weekend crowds vary, but they're generally busy enough to make this a bustling spot. Traders village is an all outdoors flea market. It has plenty of coverage for the outdoor elements. You can find everything from your collectibles, crafts, and everyday items here. They also have a small carnival area for the kids. They have plenty of good food and places to get drinks. They have areas where you can also get beers to loosen up. Why loosen up? Well they also have live bands on the weekends so you can get your dance on. This place is a great place for and all day hang out. So bring your cash and cooler and have a great time. Six dollars just to park is kind of ridiculous. The stalls are very repetitive. It is good to go to if you know what you're going to get. I would suggest bringing cash rather than using your card. There is not much selection there and it is very hard to navigate to find what you need through the website. The vendors are very nice. Some of the stuff they are selling is questionable on where they got it from. Some of it feels like they went through their garage and are just doing a garage sale at traders Village. read more

We checked out the Cajun Fest at Trader's Village yesterday for lunch. Semi-decent sized crawfish. Tad bit salty. Love the agua frescas! Live music playing in the background. It's ok. Lots of the same stuff in most of the booths. Noticed A LOT of fake products they are pushing as real. Stanley cups with legit labels but then spelling "Stanley" wrong for $20. Fake Marc Jacobs "The Tote Bag" for $50 but they argue it's real. I wasn't even interested in it, but the lady chased me down to try to sell it to me. read more

Always a fun time at Traders Village. The weather was perfect today and the snout-nosed butterflies were parading down the aisles. Parking is $4 but otherwise it's free to walk around and browse the countless number of vendors. There's a mix of new and used items. Plenty of Mexican blankets and cowboy boots. Some have plants, makeup, tools, clothes or crazy items like knives disguised as pens and combs. There's a petting zoo and usually have live music or solo performers. The center area is a mini-carnival with rides for kids. Mom and dad can supervise from the bar nearby. Slushy cool alcoholic drinks hit the spot on a hot sunny day. There's also fresh lemonade for the kids. The smell of funnel cake is so tempting. Plenty of snacks to chose from are sprinkled throughout. I don't think I've ever finished walking every single aisle. Today I bought some framed photography, fresh veggies, and a wooden sculpture of St. Francis for my garden. I was slightly disappointed there wasn't a big themed event today. I try to make it to the Indian Market but missed the past couple of years. I did see a cool VW Bug car show once. There are some big Tejano bands that come play here. Check their Facebook or website for a calendar of events. I also appreciate their billboards in my part of town. read more

This is a great experience if you want to check out some good deals. I stop here everytime I'm in this area of Texas. Probably should venture to some of the others mkts next time. We visited this HUGE flea market every time we're in the San Antonio area. They have a HUGE parking lot and they can accommodate small and large groups. They also can accommodate larger vehicles such as buses or RV's. Now they do charge a fee for parking of $4.00, for normal size vehicles. You can literally spend all day here, because they have it section off by number & lettered streets. I would visit them again and will recommend them to friends and family members. read more

Fun outing for the family! Unfortunately the employees working the ticket box and concession stands were not pleasant. The lady at the ticket box refused to touch my hand, and the workers at the funnel cake stand had this "why are you bothering me" attitude." The employees operating the rides were very polite and welcoming. Other than the unpleasant employees that I encountered, this place is cool for some outdoor fun with the little ones. Note: Parking is $4, and I purchased a wristband for unlimited rides for $11. It was worth it since a single ride/tickets cost $2.50. read more

Traders Village has alot of vendors, many have reasonable prices. Unfortunately the parking rate is outrageous and will ultimately hurt vendor sales. It used to cost $2 to park. The parking rate is now $6. I bought Christmas gifts there and ended up paying $21 in parking fees because I had to return several times to exchange items. Parking should be free for customers who support their businesses! read more

This place was okay. It's a nice area to hang out with the family and just browse around. I do have to say that I am pretty disappointed at the lack of shops and options open. I was also surprised at how everyone was separated too much, I think if they were closer, it would have been a nicer and easier walk. I hope they can do something more with the space on the weekends. You also have to pay for parking which is okay. There's some food venders that's we're slightly over priced as well. We got fresh juice and the cups they gave it to us in were the size of a small jug! Both of the two people with me could've drank enough and there would be left over so It was upsetting to throw our cups away. Hopefully the next time I come, it'll be a better time. read more

This place is pretty cool and best of all, it's huge. There's tons of things to do and look at. They even have food booths and carnival rides. You can find things from clothes, to military medals, garden stuff, fresh produce, weird toys, etc. literally the sky is the limit at this place. I will admit that most of it is junk but you can find some little hidden gems. I ended up getting a metal cactus I wanted for half the price as other places. There is a fee to get in, I believe it was 4 dollars, which I felt was reasonable seeing as coming to visit this place is cool all in itself. One thing I liked was that you could haggle the price a lot. I was able to talk some prices down for somethings, but I did meet some people who wouldn't give me the time of day. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if you're looking for something unique, definitely stop by here. You'll be sure to find it. read more

Traders Village has been open for quite a few years and every year they expand! Parking was originally $2 it's now $4. They often have fun family events around different holidays. They offer a mini carnival featuring a carousel, mini 'scream' ride, etc. With a huge sand box as well! You have the options of purchasing tickets or wristbands for the entire day. There is always live music, the environment is very welcoming and the vendors are friendly. This flea market is HUGE, so many isles to walk. The downside about this location is alot of the stores sell the same items. I recommend going on a weekend when they are hosting a fun family event and go early before it gets to hot. read more

Almost as good as Canton's First Monday but the cool breeze and pissy rain made the +6k steps fun. Saw alot of things I'd love to buy especially the TShirts @ #950 but was too tired and hungry to go back but the daughter got a deal on 2 oversized planter pots for $35. Next time we'll rent the Dino Scooters for $25 and grab some Elote before we pass out! Definitely will go back especially with Cash! We went from 5:00-6:00close and it was so worth it! Parking is $4, Rides there are cute for kids. Lots of snack food and TONS of different shops. This place is huge! Super cute place to shop for unique finds, good deals, and you can sometimes negotiate price! Shops start emptying out a bit at 5:30 but it was worth it to even go when we did. Very large San Antonio flea market that has exceptional shops of all variety and sorts. Each week the vendors have new items to look at so it's not always the same thing, also you never know what treasures you will find there. Personally I have found items so rare that they are affordable here but highly expensive everywhere else making this a great steal. Also you have different cultural items from all around for sale. Great place to go looking around or even just to walk around. The food is good and has rides for kids. For the elderly or those with difficulty walking or such, there are different types of scooters available to rent as well. read more

This was a pretty interesting place. I came here for the Crab Fest that was happening this weekend. It is a huge outdoor center with lots of vendors selling things like shoes, Texas stuff, and other random things. I don't know if I would really call it is flea market...a lot of the stuff there were things that you could find at a dollar store. There were plenty of snack and drink vendors with many of the classic carnival type foods - funnel cake, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos, and lemonade. They had a lot of amusement rides there, which was unexpected but pretty cool. The three things that I didn't like about this place were: 1) There is a vendor that is selling confederate flags right next to a children's amusement ride. 2) Some parts of the market have no covering, so if it is raining or super hot, you will be exposed to the elements. 3) A lot of the vendors are cash only, so you'll have to use one of the many ATM's to take money out. I wanted to be there early to get the best pick. We got a Mexican longhorn made of clay then painted with beautiful color for our log home kitchen. There were a lot of western nifty home decorations. What a disorganized place! We went for the Pow Wow & figured we'd walk around a little also. Went in through the right entrance, ok, where's the stage area? Figure it out yourself! Because there are no signs anywhere! The flyer they gave us at the parking entrance has a schedule but no map or directions. Ok, asked a vendor & she was nice enough to point us to the brown roof. On the way there we saw a bunch of vendors selling the same stuff with not much variety...ok, whatever. Finally, get to the stage area. Let's grab a seat, oh wait, now you have to walk around all these gates to get in. Wth? Are you afraid people will steal the chairs? Later, let's go grab a bite. Vendor sells food but no drinks?!? Gotta walk a block to go get a soda! Again I ask, wth? Don't advertise events to get people through the door and then not help people easily find said event. Place food and drinks closer together, you know, cuz people usually drink something when they eat. What an unfriendly & disorganized place. I felt bad for the dancers to have to be at such a crappy place. Never again! read more
