Great, well-stocked, clean Latino/Mexica grocey store! Variety of fresh fruits and veggies and dried goods like chilies, beans, corn husks. All the meats and bones typical to a Mexican dinner table at good prices. The bakery (panaderias) here has all the classics like concha, empanadas, piggies, bolillos, etc. The hot food section has a variety of tasty looking meats stewing away, such as barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, nopales. They also serve hot tamales, sopes, enchiladas, burritos, Chile relleni, taquitos, soups, shrimp cebicbe, salsas, champurrado and more! Their plate and family meals are a crazy good deal. Admittedly, the hit food left something to be desired but for the price and service, can't really complain. (The tamale I got was a bit dry and needed a but more flavor, but it was toward evening and each tamale was hefty for $2 a piece. Rice and beans hit the spot.) The lady serving our food was very nice too. Sad that this place selling legit pumpkin empanadas is so far away from home but I'd happily go back here for more empanadas and grocery shopping again. read more

Big with lots of variety! Every time I visit Yakima I make a point of stopping in to browse and of course purchase a few items. It's clean and well stocked just challenging as it gets pretty busy and they only have one or two cashiers working. read more

It's a bit culturally sanitized and less authentically Mexican than some large Latino grocery stores in larger cities. It's okay. Not great. I would have gone to three stars, but this is kind of the only place in town. Quality is good on some things and very poor on others. Even within departments, you can see this. It's clearly visible in the meat and seafood departments. But what this is is a large Latino (mostly Mexican) focused grocery store. It has more Mexican specialty items under one roof than any other place in WA that I can think of. And, for that, I am a fan. I just wish they would open a couple of these in the Seattle area. read more

Good selection of Mexican grocery items. May not be the best quality on some things, but others are a great find. Some prices are high, while others are more reasonable. Reminds me of Saar's Marketplace in Western Washington. They have a $6 plate of five tacos and a drink. The chicken ones are the best. read more

I'm a little bit upset that I've never been to fiesta foods before today. The spot has got some wonderful stuff going on! Upon walking in, I noticed how lovely the place smelled. It was like walking into a Mexican restaurant and bakery - which it basically is as well as a grocery store. Along the east wall and the Southwall are where the magic truly happens. This is the locations of the deli and the meat counter respectively. The deli is serving up some awesome Mexican food including some spectacular tamales. If it's relatively inexpensive and it's ready to go for you when you're there. The meat counter here was very impressive! They had less common stuff like tripe and beef feet, all the way up to carne al pastor and asada. The price is really good as well! Whilst at the deli counter buying tamales for lunch the tent in front of me ordered a drink I hadn't seen before and recommended it - straight up the champurrado was magic! It was like a thick Mexican hot chocolate or a warm Horchata. Deliciously creamy and worth trying! The produce section with solid as well. The aisle shopping was by no means sparse, but was definitely smaller than that of somewhere like Safeway. Everybody here was super friendly and to boot they had about 20 different types of hot sauce, as well as homemade salsa available in bulk! I wonder what president Craig Gaylord would think knowing that current employees at the Yakima location (Ashley, Martha and Gaby) were bullying an older new hire that just migrated from Mexico. It was so unprofessional and cruel that she quit. This clearly is not the values of his mission statement. Saying you hire and support the Latino community is a sweet lie. Definitely not coming back. I don't know what on earth management was thinking, but there was a band playing so loud that my daughter and I couldn't hear each other even when yelling face to face. My twin toddlers were traumatized because it was so loud. I truly struggle to describe the volume. The band was at the front of the store, and even when we were at the back of the store, it was so loud it physically hurt. I have a heart condition, and the sound reverb hurt my chest and caused palpitations. I've been to major music festivals that weren't this loud. It was so loud you couldn't even process what notes were being played, it was just deafening soundwaves crashing through the store. While at the check out stand near the band, there was no way to even hear the cashier. My babies were sobbing and screaming in terror, and the band leader even made a joke about how the noise was scaring them between songs. I'm so disappointed because the store is otherwise good. The prices are great, but I won't ever come back after this. read more

Think mexican market meets American grocery store! When you walk in, who are you generally greeted by a huge display of avocados and limes. The entrance also has a taco stand where they are currently selling 5 tacos and a drink for 5 bucks! I'm a huge fan of the hot Deli area. If you've never been here think the hot Deli at a normal grocery store only replaced with your favorite Mexican foods! Audobada (marinated pork) and the carne asada fajitas are fantastic! They also have their own in-house Tortilleria. Some of the best tortillas you'll ever find and they are cheap! Grocery store prices here are rock bottom. You can also find a huge variety of meats, many that you couldn't find another grocery stores such as lingua (cow tongue). That might be good or bad depending on your opinion! Large grocery store that caters to the Hispanic community. All of the traditional flair plus some Mexican staples. It also boast a huge deli counter with most Mexican fair. I didn't sample the food, but it looked amazing, in reflection, I wish we would have stocked up here instead of going to Hernandez and that horrible restaurant. This is a huge Mexican grocery store located near the fairgrounds. Comparable in size and cleanliness to a Safeway, this place was packed when I went on Labor Day. Although I was probably the only white person in the whole building, I had a lot of fun browsing through the different sections. Definitely ask for samples in the "deli" and at the augua fresca stand, they are really generous! They have amazing prices on everything from produce (corn 6/$1.00, limes 12/$1.00) to their Mexican "deli" ($1.00 enchiladas this week!). I picked up a pack of fresh tortillas that were made in-house, and they were still warm. Fiesta Foods also has a huge Mexican style bakery with everything from conchas to polverones. read more

My shopping experience is usually predictable and more than adequate for products I buy at this location. I witnessed a surreal incident, today, in which I left the store wondering what happened and if there was a story behind it. An African-American man was waiting at the deli counter behind two other people, as three more customers approached the counter. After the two customers were served, the three other customers were waited on as this man stood waiting for service...interrupting at one point to tell an employee that he had been waiting for ten minutes and was ahead of other customers who were being serviced. Instead of addressing him, two employees spoke Spanish to each other and seemed to ignore him. He left, looking upset. I have no idea if this related to a racial slight, but I couldnt help having it come to my mind. Not cool. read more

I'm from California visiting the Yakima area; initially I was excited because i figured they had fresh produce and a great place to buy pan dulce. BIG MISTAKE! I was not impress with this store, prices in my opinion were okay; pan dulce was very disappointed. First of all it was old, not fresh, the taste was awful just disappointing. When I got the the registry not even a smile from cashier, perhaps better customer service couldn't made my experience much better but it seemed i was stuck bagging my own groceries. Do not try shopping here if you're not Latino. My last visit here was definitely the last. I was in line at the deli counter. After assisting the person in front of me, the counter lady walked around and said something (in Spanish) to the lady behind me. Who graciously pointed to me and said something else in Spanish. I gathered it to mean that I was next. Having stepped up to the counter, I asked if she did not see me. Ha. There was a line! I was next! No eye contact through the entire transaction. This is NOT the first occasion of being ignored or passed over in favor of Hispanics. Just the last time. I can't help but think this is a company culture passed down from upper management, it's happened too often. They must have an associate class, being taught how to tilt your heads, turn away, and put your noses in the air. This Market place sells alot of things but mostly the best is the hot food section. They have the best carne adobada which is a pastor, enchiladas,rice, pompusas and etc. Well pretty much everything was good and delicious. My family made a quick stop there before heading to Portland Oregon. We ate there and left totaly full and satisfied only with. Unfortunately the service wasnt that great. We ordered a bunch of food and the ladies right there couldn't manage the cashier register so we can pay. There were other ladies that were there but im guessing they dont know how to do cashier register. "I was like why do you even have employees if they cant do cashier. I was so mad that i left disappointed. There was one young lady i assume does cashier, and no its not the braces girl its a mexican mature lady. She was the only that was attentive to us on getting our order. I feel that the place should put more employees on the hot foods section.
