Egads! We'll start with the good. Our waitress was new and a little meek but lovely and visited us just at the right time. My husband and I both had a house margarita. You could taste the tequila which I find "house" marg's tend to be weak at other spots so that was nice. We were seated right away and the decor and music was festive and bright. So the food: not a hit for us. My husband thought the tamales tasted like they had been frozen and then heated up when he ordered. The salsa and red sauce on our meals tasted like canned tomato sauce in my opinion. And not even like store bought salsa but straight up a can of tomato sauce. Visited for a weekend and asked the clerk at a nearby game store for local recommendations. His top 3 included fiesta, which is a bonus vouch included in my review. Service was immediately available, we were seated in under a minute and had our drinks in 3. Our waitress was friendly, and was flexible as we had trouble deciding. We had the chimichangas, Chili Relleno, the goat cheese chorizo appetizer and Fajitas. My companions spoke well of their chimichangas, all of us agreed that the bread, cheese, and sausage in the appetizer were unexpectedly good. Perfect amount of heat in the sausage, a nice hard chorizo sliced on the margin, and the bread was freshly baked and had a beautifully crisp crust. My chili relleno was well seasoned, the meat was tender enough to cut with the side of my spoon, and the pepper was cooked perfectly. This place we stumbled upon by accident. It sucked. Bottom line. When you sit down the tables are on a slant so your drinks could spill. We asked for queso and all they could supply us was melted mozzarella fondu queso. It was gross. Our food had hair in it (curly) and the beans were straight from a pedigree dog food can (moosh). My friend and I got different margaritas and both had to send them back. Mine had an odd shade of green, yet the waitress claimed it was just triple sec, tequila, and (she claimed) fresh lime juice. Mediocre food. If you want some chips and salsa, and margs randomly this will hit the spot. Food is your typical Americanized Mexican grill. Had a lot of problems at our table when we went, in regards to allergies. Emphasized an allergy and they brought out a product with everything still in it. When we brought it up you could tell they just opened it up and tried to remove the allergy. Then they tried to make us pay for another replacement, when we sent that one back as well. I don't know why the ratings are so low on this restaurant. We don't go out that much in Oneonta but Fiesta is one of our top choices. Not everything on the menu is hot-spicy, which is great. It's authentic Mexican, not Tex-Mex. I just get a flavored margarita here. The standard marguerita is just average, but we love the food. Happy Hour is a good deal. Half price appetizers. Margarita Monday is $4 rocks. The photo here is chicken taquitos for $4. $8 and I'm full with a marguerita under my belt. This is NOT a good place for Celiacs. They have a GF menu, but the fryer is shared and I was violently ill 20 minutes after eating there. I had a steak and corn quesadillas. Inedible. The cheese enchiladas had "slabs" of a white cheese. There was a minimal amount of cheddar on top of the enchiladas. I couldn't cut the enchiladas, I had to pick up and eat like a hamburger. Three bites in and I couldn't continue. There was no flavor and the texture was awful.... Thick and hard. I have no idea what kind of cheese it was. My husband's beef enchiladas were almost as inedible. It wasn't shredded beef. It was regular hamburger. The sauce was bland. Taco Tuesdays are great deals, but I won't even go there any more for that. As you can see by their reviews, nothing there is consistent. Take out orders are incorrect every other visit. The environment is at least a decent attempt at keeping their theme, but it smells very strongly of cleaning products. And dare I have the audacity to kindly make a suggestion to their business... We had an excellent experience here. From the fish bowl margaritas, pina colada was rated "ok," definitely go for the margs. Mussels blanco were , followed by the taco salad with chicken, and chicken fajitas. We had a few birthdays to celebrate that evening, and the wait staff accommodated perfectly. I ordered the enchiladas which was my first time having one and I was very happy with my choice. The portion was perfect for the price and the taste and all the sauces and flavors were excellent. The quality of the food has declined since they first opened. The food is bland. I recently got take out and found out theyn had given us the wrong order. My wife called to speak with manager who was not there. She explained the situatuion to whomever answered the phone. She was calling not to get a comp, but to let them know about the order. It took over an hour to have our order taken, the dinners came out wrong. No rice or beans, when we asked for things like ketchup or extra salsa, that took 10 minutes. This place isn't terrible but it's nothing special. I've come here a few times with friends on weekdays and during Cinco de Mayo. They're packed on Cinco de Mayo and you'll definitely need a reservation. The "Margarita Monday" deal is what we go there for. The sangria is apparently made fresh there but it tasted horrible to me. In terms of food, I usually get the beef quesadilla which is meh. Food comes in big portions. Very greasy. From my experience, staff there have always been very friendly. They check IDs, no out of state drivers license IDs allowed. Bathrooms are pretty clean. I would recommend this place if you wanted to try something new or different than what else is available on main st. This place wouldn't be my first choice for food though. read more

Very Mexican environment which is a plus but on the downside it does seem like they try very hard to do so. Has a decent sized bar though. They brought us a complimentary basket of tortilla chips with salsa. The salsa was quite watery. And spicy which is to be expected but watery was kind of saddening. The menu consisted of what you'd expect; tortillas, enchiladas, burritos, lots of items involving jalapeño, churros, etc. Nothing too special. I personally got the "Vera Cruz" enchilada with chicken. Comes with a red sauce, peppers, sour cream, cheese, chicken on a soft tortilla grilled. The inside contained the shredded chicken which seemed over-cooked, rice, and lots of spices! The top contained a boat load of melted cheese and well decorated with sour cream and olive oil as shown in the picture. The appearance of all out dishes was very appealing to the eye but the taste wasn't all that great. My fiancé got the "Three Amigos" tacos with a choice of soft or hard taco. Going with soft, the dish came with three tacos of fish, steak and chicken. They were complimented with lettuce, cheese, and the fish taco came with a spicy cabbage slaw and salsa verde. They were over stuffed with meat, over-cooked, and they weren't up to par on taste. Our friend got the "Adobe Enchilada" with chicken. Also plated very nicely, taste did not meet expectation. With a hot-and-cold inside, this dish is a one time eat and not to be reheated. It had guacamole and sour cream insides. The guacamole was stuffed with onions and ruined the taste. We also got some churros which seemed to be the highlight of our meal. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again especially for the cost of our meal of three coming to $60! read more

I'd read the reviews and I'd agree, since it's the only Mexican food in the area it's doable. I ordered three crispy tacos which were sadly dry, but it was chicken breast in the middle. Added sour cream and salsa and the cheese and shell were not too bad. Enchiladas were a little on the dry side and had no kick. A friend ordered fajitas on the waitress recommendation and he said they were really good, if you're a fajitas fan I'd definitely order them. For dessert we ordered a ice cream nachos deal... now those I'd go back for. I think a few little tweaks with salsas and this place could be a could be a contender. read more
