Hard to find, on winding back roads.... but well worth the effort !!! Everything about this…read morerestaurant is 5+ stars. Service was friendly, prompt, attentive. Started with the table-made guacamole - excellent. Chose three mains, and all were exceptional. I can't believe one of the reviewers here found everything lacking in flavor and authenticity. Mains includes Enchiladas (beef, chicken, veggie - great accompaniments), Mole' Chicken (1/2-chicken slathered with delicious mole') and the Beef Molcajete - beef strips, chorizo, queso fresco, cactus, & scallions in salsa, served in an authentic stone mortar. The molcajete is a true dining experience. Overall - can't wait to go back in the Spring.

The menus are propped up for contactless ordering and they also have a QR scan so you can see the menu using your phone. Everyone is wearing PPE and gloves. The food is served in disposable wear so you know is sanitary! There is good social distances and it's all outdoor seating with tarps. So no need to worry about getting wet under a cheap patio umbrella! And plenty parking. The food: is authentic and yummy delicious! I ordered the tamales, empanadas, and enchiladas de mole. The food is like eating at my Mexican grandma's table. I have not experienced this specially so remote from the big city. What a gem hidden in this tiny farm. For dessert I had the churros which where covered with sprinkled sugar and cinnamon and stuffed with amazing yummy caramel goodness. Served with ice cream and raspberry sauce. Absolutely incredible!! I drove 8 hrs to be here and they did not disappoint. This place is totally under rated. The problem is not many people who come here know about yelp. Although it seems to be really popular with the locals, they are typically older farm folks and families. I wish they got more reviews. The owners are a cute couple who work the restaurant and their kids work here too. Absolutely amazing 10 out of 10!!!

Full disclosure, the food's not bad and the guy making it was very friendly. That said, these are tacos so white I'm surprised they don't come slathered in mayonnaise. No Al Pastor. No Barria. No Barbacoa. Legit chorizo comes in a tube that costs like a dollar. Where's that? I ordered a BBQ Pulled Pork Taco thinking it might be Ty's answer to Carnitas, but it was just pulled pork on a tortilla. It was fine, but it wasn't a taco. It was decent pulled pork BBQ on a tortilla. No flavorfully Mexican take on pulled pork BBQ. I can't imagine what's in the Street Corn or Classic Beef, the only tacos masquerading as authentic Mexican food. Greek chicken or falafel? Are you kidding me? Why bother? A Greek chicken taco is called a Souvlaki, and a falafel is, well, a Falafel. Star Mix is right up the street, and if you're looking for a souvlaki or falafel, it's pretty great, and a lot cheaper. And that's my real beef with Ty's. Mediocre white-people-tacos are a common scourge of any college town, but $17 for three tacos? $6 to $6.50 for one? Who's buying these tacos with the regularity to keep this stand in business? Authentic Mexican restaurants around the country - sit-down restaurants with far more overhead - manage to offer guests free chips and salsa. Ty's charges $3 for salsa, and another $5 for the chips. That's like charging $3 for the cigarette and $5 for the light. And as those countless, authentic restaurants have proven, Ty's doesn't need it.

The new owners have turned it into something totally different, as I discovered earlier this month. The only original menu item that has survived is the "famous" Hot Open Veggie, which is more or less the same except you can't add tofu or tempeh without paying for the full side order. Also, they ditched the amazing tofu marinade for... no marinade? It had no flavor, and the tempeh was cut into skinny triangles and all dried out. It used to come in cubes, and was an awesome addition to Hot Open Veggie. I couldn't eat it. Where is the tempeh burger? It used to be so delicious. I was going to come twice in one day to get both. I ended up leaving after my disappointing meal, the first one I've ever had at The Autumn. Can someone pay some attention to what has kept that place open for like forty years? I guess not.

Tasty treats and ample cerveza offerings. Spirits for those that enjoy Halloween all year round. Art by local artists on the walls and some you can take with you evening of.
