Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name....that would speak true to Fiesta Vallarta, especially if you're a local :) My girlfriend and I were passing through the area and stopped by here for dinner. Have dined here 4 times and the food is super authentic, beautifully prepared, super tasty and my favorite is they serve ground beef. Staff is super friendly and they treat you like a long lost friend. The noise level is very low because everybody is busy enjoying their food so therefore not trying to outtalk everybody. How does this place not have a review! It was a little warm in here, but I can look past that when the food is good, and the food was fantastic! Another golf outing brought us to Waukon, and a friend of mine raves about this place. We like Mexican, so we gave it a try! The salsa is fantastic! Not your regular salsa, something special. We ordered the chimis and enchiladas. Both were excellent! This place has Greer food and great prices. What an absolute treat! read more

I've been there a few times (mainly because most other options suck), and honestly it's not a place I like to go. The food is mostly okay, not wonderful. Except for burritos and quesadillas who tend to have a bit of a fatty sickening taste. My biggest problem with the restaurant is mostly the interior decor and hygiene. It's not at all a cozy, warm place. It's in fact pretty cold, and has a bit of a ghetto air to it. To say, the decoration is pretty bad, and (there isn't much decoration). And the tables, chairs, and stuff are pretty ugly and uncomfortable. The plates and glasses are plastic, not glass, and it's not the cleanest restaurant I've known. Or else, it's a pretty laid back place, with good AC, bathrooms. and a TV. The waiters (all latinos) tend to be friendly and warm. read more

Good Mexican restaurant but definitely not the best. The service there was okay (it was during RAGBRAI so that's understandable that they weren't completely on top of things). The chips and salsa tasted great. They only had margs on the rocks which were okay but you can taste the fake syrup in it. I got three chicken tacos and rice and beans. The chicken was a bit bland. Best Mexican in NE Iowa! This place always has the best food. My family eats here at least once a week. Great portion size. Most of all it is a very clean establishment. Very warm atmosphere. Service is excellent. Great margaritas (cheap too). Your truly missing out if your in Waukon and don't get a chance to eat here. read more
