He arrived on time and worked his camera tirelessly for almost 10 hours capturing our entire wedding. He even kneeled on the ground to take many of our photos which to this day we are still amazed by his professionalism. Great work ethic as well. You would think for a 10 hr event, many photographers would take several breaks but not James. He took so many photos and urged us to take more pictures. Communication was fast, responsive and stress free. We were very comfortable with him on our big day as well as for our engagement photos. The only thing I would mention is to practice poses ahead of time, some were a little repetitive and lacked the "instagram wow" feel but if you're someone not good with posing, James will give suggestions so don't worry. The best part is you get to keep all of the photos not just the selected edited ones. I now realized not all photographers will give you the entire gallery which would be a huge disappointment for your big day. I like his editing style which is realistic and authentic with enhanced color. As many mentioned, turn around time was super fast. James also made several small edits to our final gallery to make the pictures even better. Pricing was reasonable. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

We met at our engagement shoot where he made us feel completely comfortable (we can be quite awkward!). The engagement photos came out beautiful and people loved our save-the-date photos! The wedding day was super hectic but Kevin was super PRO with handling the chaos. Dan was also great as our second photographer -he is always smiley! My kids are unpredictable and sometimes it feels impossible to get them out the door on time, especially in the same outfit they started in. Between nap times, feeding times, car tantrums, it can be so overwhelming. They're shy around new people too so I didn't know how to plan for that really and not every professional understands that. That was just the start of my hesitations. I started my search on google and found the same long beach photographers on repeat. I looked on yelp as well and got some folks recommended but they weren't close. I ended up getting a referal from a fellow mom on a facebook group and she had great things to say about their price ans quality. I reached out to Celia (and some other photographers) but Celia was the only one that called me, got to know my situation especially as a first timer, and talked me out of doing a mini session and doing a 30 min session. She suggested locations and even getting my little ones comfortable with bubbles so that could cheer them up during the shoot. She's a mother, knows how kids are and has experience photographing them. She was adamant about them having a good time and not ruining the photography experience for them which I never thought of. She and her husband showed up ready (to a new location at that), flexible, and executed better than I could have ever imagined. I got the photos back quick and the work speaks for itself. Firstly, through all of her communications (text l, emails, phone calls), she walks you through what happens during the entire process. I appreciated this so I knew what to anticipate in advance. She makes you feel comfortable sharing any of your concerns and asking her any questions, she takes her time and cares. She really makes it easier providing advice on your selection of clothing, what looks good on you and on the camera and what may not, so you have and idea what to shop for. It is apparent that she's been doing this for a long time, you get to the location, everything is ready to go and she makes you feel right at home. Kristina greeted me with a welcome gift with well thought out goodies. Her hairdresser/makeup artist, Jenn, was the best! Kristina informed Jenn of my idea for hair and makeup, so Jenn already had an idea on what to do for me and just asked me a few questions. The outcome whoa, Jenn was so spot on with the look I was trying to capture, I loved it! Kristina and Kelly, Assistant, styled my 4 outfits and shoes, determining what would look optimal for me. Kristina even had delicious refreshments to keep us fed during the 4 hours. Boy did that 4 hours go by fast! The Joshua Tree location was spectacular with a beautiful pool and the beautiful desert landscaping in the backyard, most importantly it was private. The best part was taking the pictures. Kristina is fun, funny, walks you through what to do, plays music and has a proactive way to make you feel comfortable, that you even get goofy. From her Gallery in her website, she has taken so many awesome shots, which is why I decided to go with her. Besides, she makes you feel like a badass during the shoot.
