Our first conversation with Klo was through the phone with my now wife and I, when we were going over his packages. He was clearly described his packages and what he supported. Overall we got good vibs with Klo. We picked the package that included engagement photo session and of course the wedding. Leading up until the engagement photo session, we kept in touch with Klo via email and text. He was more than happy to reply to our questions/concerns. We did research together and finalized our location. Our session was to be at UCLA. When we met with him for the first time we immediately liked his personality. He definitely knew what he was doing. We felt like he was an experienced photographer. He was always on the lookout for "the shot." He definitely cared and wanted to get things right. He has an eye for the little details, every so often he'd fix my outfit or let my wife know the wind messed her hair up. Overall the session turned out great, and we love the photos. From his personality/performance/professionalism we definitely looked forward to working with him on our wedding day. The wedding went well from the photographer standpoint. Where ever the bride and groom was, he was either 2 steps in front, or 2 steps behind. He was attentive to us for photos. Klo was an absolute dream to work with. It's been quite some time since I've written a review and you can say I'm an OG yelper since i began in 2007 before yelp was even a thing, but never pursued! But working with Klo, I felt extremely compelled to write a review and give credit to such amazing and professional work. I reached out to Klo initially to see if he could take photos family photos along with my mother in law who was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately time was not on her side and that photoshoot was never able to happen. Through that process Klo did his best to be very acommodating, however her deterioration was quite rapid so we were unable to schedule a shoot and she passed within a couple of weeks. Seeing how he went above and beyond for that made me hire him later on for my little family's holiday photoshoot. I am so glad that I did because the pictures were more than I could have ever asked for. You would have never known that the location was not the initial location we were trying to shoot at or that my 2 year old had the biggest birthday girl tantrum that day. Klo's talented eye and editing skills really captured the beauty within that day and captured amazing images of my family. He was very patient with us especially when my daughter was having her terrible two diva tantrums. Looking back, it's pretty laughable now, but during the shoot I was a bit stressed. The turnaround time for the photos were very fast. The price of the photos were extremely reasonable and affordable. Honestly, it's a steal because he is extremely talented. We usually hate photoshoots because we can't pose or look natural for shit. So with that said, we just decided to give it a shot since I guess we were getting married, and now having a baby. So with thanks to my friend Daly for the giving us the introduction to Klo, we decided to hit him up and meet to go over our shoot. From beginning to end, Klo made it a very relaxed / laid back type of experience. He's got great direction and has a good eye to basically everything around the area. After finishing up our wedding, we received a shit ton of comments about who our photographer was, because it was that great of a job. (He turned around our wedding edits within 2-3 weeks!) Now we fast forward two years and hit him up for our maternity shoot, and we hit him up about booking a shoot. Klo is just the best! TL;DR: his photography is top notch and we love love LOVE how our pictures came out! His work and professional attitude are phenomenal, but more importantly he is a really good person and great to work with. He came to our rescue when our first photographer flaked on us. My fiancé and I were long distance and only had a week long window to take engagement photos while he was on his trip out here, and Klo was able to squeeze us in with just a few days notice. Neither my fiancé nor I had ever taken professional photos before (besides school pictures I guess?) and we are both relatively shy people, so we were nervous and awkward. Our first family shoot with Klo was AMAZING! Our family holiday card is a big deal for me every year. After seeing Klo shoot at a few family weddings, we decided to book this year's Holiday shoot with him and we are so glad we did! Not only am I in LOVE with how the photos turned out, but I was really impressed with how well Klo worked with our toddler. I requested a location between Long Beach & Fountain Valley as we were coming straight from work and Klo already had the perfect location mind. My family and I got our pictures done by Klo which included 8 adults and 2 very energetic kids. Klo had so much patience with the kids and was able to capture great photos of everyone. He was also very great with details by letting us know that our hair, shirt and dresses needed a little fixing (some photographers wouldn't even notice). Our family had a wonderful experience with Klo. We went with Klo after receiving multiple recommendations from family and friends. And we're so happy with the results of our pictures! My husband and i hate taking photos but decided we should do a maternity shoot anyways and Klo did not disappoint! It was so easy to get in contact and book the session. He was very proactive and helpful in regards to choosing locations and keeping in touch to the day of. The session itself went by quickly and was actually enjoyable. I appreciated how he asked me first if there was a side l preferred and catered the shots accordingly. Klo posed us without being too pose-y and captured such great candid moments too. He was so considerate when working with our toddler and even carried our diaper bag so that I can focus on watching my step being prego and all and hubs can walk easily with our toddler. There were also other photoshoots going on at our location and he was very considerate to work around other photographers as well while I noticed others would just get in our shots. I hired Klo at Klo Eng Photography to photograph my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration at The Queen Mary in December 2019. Klo was great to work with from the very first inquiry that I sent him to the day that he sent over the link to the gallery with all of the photos from the event. Here are a few reasons for my 5-star rating for Klo. First, Klo was easy to communicate with during the inquiry process, explaining his costs and what was included in the photography package, and making sure he understood what we wanted in terms of capturing the moments from the event. He was responsive and answered all of my questions timely and clearly. It was very straightforward working with Klo which I appreciated. Second, Klo was easy to work with during the anniversary celebration. He was professional, personable, and engaging with my parents and all of our guests to get lots of fantastic smiles. We pulled Klo in many different directions and had lots of picture requests throughout the night as we wanted to make sure my parents got photographs with all of the many family and friends at the party. Klo was extremely accommodating and happily snapped away at all of the photo requests. Finally, and probably most importantly, the photographs that Klo took turned out great. Klo took great set photos as well as lots of awesome candid moments that will be great memories for years to come. The photos were bright, vibrant, crisp and just looked awesome. Receiving the link to the gallery and viewing the photos were also a breeze. The biggest approval though comes from my parents who were extremely happy with the photos from their milestone anniversary celebration. If they are happy with the photos then mission accomplished.
