Was visiting from out of town and this ice cream shop was recommended to me by a local friend and I was surprised to see the truck in the middle of the mall! I got the mango sticky rice and my friend got oregon strawberry. The mango sticky rice was actually perfect and paired well with the sugar cone. 10/10! read more

The location of this truck inside the mall varies, but it's there most of the time I visit. The staff is friendly and happy to let you sample flavors before ordering. I tried quite a few before deciding. I was most curious about the Mango Sticky Rice flavor. While it was very good, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, and I ended up preferring the Matcha Mochi flavor. That said, every flavor I've tried so far has been delicious. This is easily my favorite ice cream spot in the States, and even my friends visiting from out of state were impressed. Stop by and give this truck a try if you are at the mall. read more

Im a sucker for a sweet treat, especially after walking around shopping. I love how convenient this little food truck is to stop by, in the middle of Washington Square Mall. The workers are always so polite and quick with taking your order. And the unique flavors never fail to impress me! My favorites are the mango sticky rice, and the banana foster. They both highlight the fruit, without overpowering it with the coconut cream or other sweeteners. Yummy, creamy, goodness! read more

Oh. My. Gosh. Portland has lots of unique ice cream spots, but Fifty Licks really exceeded my expectations! The Oregon Strawberry flavor wasn't just pink ice cream--it tasted like ripe Hood strawberries fresh from the farmers market. The Guava Swirl was also super good...I think it had some kind of coconut base? Delish! It was the perfect mid-mall pick-me-up. I will DEFINITELY be back! read more

Yummy ice cream and such a cute stand! Love that they serve it out of a little truck inside the mall, very fun! Nice variety of flavors and unique ones as well. They had a good selection of vegan options as well. I had the blood orange creamsicle which was a perfect balance of tart and sweet. A great flavor! Service was great! The woman working nicely gave us samples and had a pleasant attitude. Would definitely come back again for the ice cream and the truck is a cute photo op. read more

Listen. I come here for the Mango Sticky Rice ice cream every time but that never stops me from accepting offered samples of any and all other flavors. Seriously - ask to taste the menu and they'll walk you through it lick by lick. These flavors are fantastic and the service is always friendly. I thought everything we got was pretty good. We had the cornbread honeybutter, the mango sticky rice and the blueberry cheesecake. The blueberry cheesecake was by far the best of the three, but the other two were pretty good. The cornbread one was definitely cornbread but the mango sticky rice was not as good as we had hoped. Ready to try some of the other flavors though, they all sounded great. read more

Fifty Licks is definitely my guilty pleasure. I think about going at least once a week! I'm so glad there's one near my home. The service is always great, and I love that they offer samples. I'm at the mall and I see an ice cream spot. It's a truck parked inside a mall with two workers inside. I approach the truck and asked if I can have a sample even though I have zero intention of buying any ice cream. Dorian responded: absolutely. I'll even give you the biggest sample scoop so you can walk around as if it was a full cone! We proceeded to have a conversation and I get a few samples and at the end, I tipped him the amount I would have paid for a full scoop. I explained to him that I was watching my calorie intake and that's why I didn't want to buy. It wasn't because of the money. He was very thankful. It was a very pleasant conversation. He even said come back to visit when I have my cheat day! Dorian's demeanor and attitude was just amazing. He's full of energy and was very engaging. He made recommendations and they all hit home. I asked him if his coworker was the owner cause he was just offering free samples to a non-buyer!He said she wasn't the owner, but the owners would do the same and would love this exchange! Okay, onto the ice cream. The Mango Sticky Rice was my favorite. I was skeptical at first, but somehow, it works and it works well!! And the Oregon Strawberry was one of the best strawberry ice creams I've ever had. And strawberry is one of my favorite flavors so I've tried a bunch. Excellent service and great product. Thanks to a Yelp Elite event I got to try Fifty Licks. I've never had them before and was pleasantly surprised to see they have quite a few shops in town. I had the mango sticky rice vegan ice cream. I honestly didn't know it was vegan till I checked the website. It was so good! Not to sweet but very tasty! They had so many tempting flavors so I'll have to go back when I'm at the mall again! We are in for University of Portland graduation this weekend from Central PA. I was craving ice cream and this came up in my search. We went to the Washington Square location; the two young ladies were very professional and kind. I asked for a sample and when I asked which of the two flavors she liked better she let me try my second option. Let's just say I'm in love with the brownie vs blondie. My son had the french toast and said he didn't think he'd ever have ice cream that tasted like breakfast. Let's just say they were both phenomenal. read more

I stopped by in the morning, well before any midday rush, to buy 3 pints. The server kept stopping work on my order to roll waffle cones. After 6 waffle cones we had to ask him to please not add any more batter to the iron so we could get our order and go. He also took an order from another customer and served her while I was waiting! Unfortunately I had already tipped 15% on a digital payment. Great ice cream but terrible service. read more

I don't think it's my favorite. we tried 2 different flavors and I still didn't like it. I'm not sure what are the ingredients but the quality of the ice cream isn't kickin' it. Maybe it has a lot of cream, as you can see my left over cup after 1 night sitting in a cup. It didn't melt, I had to scrub it off with a sponge when I wash the cup because it was sticky. I definitely had a much better ice cream. Other ice cream I've tried usually melted by the next day. Sorry, 50 licks. read more

I've had the ice cream at their truck inside the Washington Square mall twice in the past two weeks. The first time I had the chocolate coconut caramel and each of these flavors was present and still well-balanced. Today I had the mango sticky rice flavor. I'm not one to prefer a copy over the real thing and I am a big fan of actual mango sticky rice, when it's good. This ice cream did not try to replicate the taste but was deliciously reminiscent of it.' The most pronounced flavor was coconut, the sticky rice aspect was nuanced and though there are visible pieces of mango in it, it wasn't enough to carry the full mango flavor. Nevertheless the result was still tasty. It won't replace the real thing but it stands on its own as a unique and desirable ice cream flavor. I hope to try the other flavors soon maybe at a location closer to home! read more

Excellent service | dairy free options…read more This is a great ice cream place! I absolutely love that they have dairy free options because I can't have dairy. I've only tried the coconut flavor, but I plan to come back and try other flavors since it sounds so delicious! The coconut was so fresh and almost cream-like as if it had coconut cream. Texture and taste was great. My daughter enjoyed their chocolate ice cream. Scoops are good sized. Staff is friendly and very attentive. We were greeted upon entering and given samples when we asked. The interior is very bright and clean! I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. Location is great because it's next to a swim school and Langers. Perfect for summers. They also offer items to take home, which all sound amazing. Will return!
