Boom crepe used to be a food cart in downtown Portland but it looks like they've settled here at Washington Square. If you're a fan of durian you must get the durian crepe I promise you it's so worth getting the yum factor is HIGH! The crepe itself is soft got a good chew to it and they use real durian for the filling so it's so super creamy and you get chunks of durian flesh when you bite into it. As a durian lover I fell in love immediately, still thinking about it as I'm writing this review. It's a small but mighty little stall inside the mall, you can watch the crepe making process and it doesn't take long for your order to be ready. I love it here will always come by when I'm at Washington square for sure. Highly recommend you give this stall a try if you haven't!!

The durian crème brûlée was really good and had large pieces of dirt and inside, which was amazing. The workers are very friendly and helped answer our questions. If you like durian, highly recommend the creme brûlée crepe.

Every time I've passed by this kiosk in Washington Square mall on my way out, I remind myself "I'll have to trust that next time." Well, this weekend I finally got to! My friend and I wanted a snack, and a crepe was just the thing. We both got desert crepes. I enjoyed the strawberry, blueberry, whipped cream + cream cheese mix of the Rose of Berry! And you have the choice to get it as a burrito-shaped wrap which is easier to eat or this cone shape. I'd love to try their savory crepes next time!

These are not traditional French crêpes by any means, but they are tasty. I had smoked salmon and cream cheese, and it was an excellent snack. It's not super filling so you could go back for a dessert one after more shopping. They don't have dedicated seating nearby, but I ordered coffee at Starbucks while waiting, so I could sit at their tables.

10/10 the. Crème brûlée crepe is amazing. The crape is filled with chocolate, strawberry banana, vanilla ice cream and topped with rich refreshing creamy brûlée. Crispy crust sugar add a nice texture. Very fun and yummy dessert. Love it. Boom is a stand alone stall inside a mall next to William Sonoma. You can park in Macys'side and walk to the shop.

My hubby and I shared one crepe. We got the little princess and requested less whipped cream. We enjoyed the crepe as not overly sweet and too creamy! The strawberries and bananas were fresh! The crepe was very thin to bite through. The price was really decent less than $8.

Inside the mall. It took some time to get my crepes but you could watch them making it. I liked how they have a variety of savory flavors, for people who do not eat pork. The crème brûlée is very unique and filled with a lot of different ingredients inside.

Finally tried Boom Crepes! Every time I go to Washington Square I always pass by it. We got two crepes: Durian Creme Brûlée: I was so happy to see that they had a durian filled crepe. It was packed with a good amount of durian but it didn't have a strong fresh durian flavor. There was also a scoop of vanilla ice cream too. The creme brûlée on top was a nice added addition to the crepe. Country Road: This was packed with vanilla ice cream and Nutella, topped with Oreos, strawberries, whipped cream, and cookie. Overall, loved trying the sweet crepes they have here. Will definitely come back to try some of their savory ones.

We had crème brûlée crepe. It was very good. We both like it a lot. The crème brûlée itself is wonderful. It is also cold inside which make it more delicious as well. The crepe taste and texture is like the original Japense crepe. We will definitely have it again and again. Highly recommended. Glad that we have it a try.

Reminds me of the Japanese crepes you'd get walking through the streets of Harajuku. Boom crepes is located in the mall, but don't let the free standing storefront at the mall entrance fool you. It still draws a crowd, deservingly so for those that don't get to experience these savory and dessert crepes elsewhere.

How can you go wrong with Japanese crepes? Boom Crepes has got you covered with great prices, yummy crepes, & fast service! They have a good mix of sweet and savory crepes on their menu, but for this visit, I wanted some dessert crepes. I ended up ordering a creme brulee crepe with matcha ice cream and 2 strawberry nutella crepes. The man running the shop was very friendly and it was entertaining to watching him blow torch the heck out of my crepe! LOL Whenever I eat crepes, I have a fear that my crepe will fall apart or the ice cream will start leaking from the bottom! BUT THESE CREPES WERE PERFECT! Never did it fall apart or start leaking once. The portions were perfectly packed and it was so easy to eat! Surprisingly no mess. This is definitely an underrated gem of Washington Square.

Glad creme brulee crepes are making their rounds around the states. It does take a bit more time to make but it's so worth it. Seems they sell out of their durian crepe pretty early on, but they still had their boom crepe with creme brulee, ice cream, strawberries, bananas, and nutella, and their mango boom which replaces the previous fruits and nutella with mango and whipped cream. The crepe was nice and soft, but I guess I ate it too slow because it started to drip out the bottom. Check them out if you're in the mall.

My boyfriend's hem n cheese crepe. We really enjoyed the pan seared cheese edge.

On top of that, the last 13 donuts were charged individually instead of being included in the dozen pricing. When I arrived, I specifically asked what the price was per dozen. The employee listed three different pricing tiers, but while she was helping me load the boxes -- each with 12 donuts that we counted together -- she never mentioned that certain "premium" donuts wouldn't be included in the dozen price. What doesn't make sense is why she would fill boxes of 12, count them toward a dozen, and mix in those premium donuts among the regular ones if they weren't actually going to be charged as part of the dozen. It was misleading and confusing -- especially since the donuts were spread throughout four boxes of 12, not separated or labeled differently. If certain donuts don't qualify for the dozen discount, that should be stated clearly before loading them in as part of a dozen. Handling it this way feels unethical and shady. The donuts themselves are fine, but the experience left a bad taste. I won't be returning.

When we moved to Oregon, it was under construction but we kept hearing how good it was - in fact, all the local FB pages would gush about it when a newcomer would ask about the best restaurant. And once it finally opened, we tried it, but it was kind of like Marie calendars and Shari's, but local. Ok, but not what we had expected for all the hype. So, after trying a handful of options it seemed Bannings was the only place we could still get breakfast so I begrudgingly agreed. Well, I was mistaken! I got the breakfast enchiladas and a strawberry orange mimosa. Now, the mimosa - I'll get that out of the way first. It was weird - it looked curdled. It just had mashed strawberry at the bottom and it actually was quite good. I'd do a normal mimosa in the future, but good. But the enchiladas - delicious. Like, I'll come back again and again for those. And they didn't charge me extra for the avocado, which I think is righteous because I asked for no hash browns. But not all places would do that, they'd nickel and dime even if you passed on one side for another. Additionally; my husband likes a savory breakfast and a sweet one too - so he often gets two breakfasts and though he may not eat all of both he gets that savory and sweet. Well, the omelettes come with 3 pancakes. Perfection. And, I took 3 bites of them - I usually might try 1 or not at all - they are very very good. Last - it did not break the bank. I've about ruled out breakfast out because of how crazy expensive the places that should be reasonable are. This was reasonable - PLEASE DONT CHANGE!! All in all 5 stars, will be back for breakfast; and hey - when I'm wrong I can admit I was wrong! Give them a try if you haven't!

We've had so many people compliment us on their food since our wedding and several have asked us for their info for their friends and family. Not only was the food amazing but everyone loved how the set up looked. All of the food was so well done; the tri tip carving station, salmon, fresh fruit, roasted veggies, Waldorf salad, tortellini salad, Oregon pear salad, the bread were all amazing. We got married at the McLean House and they did a fantastic job executing the set up I envisioned to fit the space. They did a great job accommodating both the few vegan and gluten free guests we had and they were all so appreciative of that!
