So disappointed with this place. I made an appointment after I saw a Groupon for full highlights, cut and conditioning treatment. They honored the Groupon price without me buying the voucher (there is an extra charge for hair past your shoulders.) My stylist was clearly new and inexperienced because she COMPLETELY botched my highlights. I'm talking bleach splotches, straight lines from brown to blonde, and brassy as all hell (see the photos) not to mention she bleached the end of my eyebrow!!! She didn't blow dry it so I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. So, I went back the next day to give her another chance to fix it. She had a senior stylist give her some tips and directions and she completely ignored them. It was 6:00pm and she was CLEARLY tired and in a hurry to get home and really didn't care about my hair. I asked her if we should tone it to get rid of the brassy orange tint and she said no.... So once again, I left with a HORRIBLE color job that looked no better than it did before she "fixed it." When I called to speak to the manager the next morning, I sent her pictures and asked for another SENIOR stylist to fix it and she said no. She told me that this girl had done it and she had to fix it herself. I said absolutely not. I asked for my money back and they refunded me (minus the $20 tip I had initially given her) and was apologetic. So now, I have an appointment at Beautique to fix this girls mess. **At Beautique, the stylists have to apprentice for a full year so you KNOW they will be competent.** I'm sure there are some great stylists here but be sure to ask for an EXPERIENCED, SENIOR STYLIST!!! read more

Love it! I'd been looking for a hairdresser for years since I moved from out of state, all of the hairdressers I've been to in the past just do a "job" for me, since I have sooo much hair it is difficult to find someone that'll put so much attention and detail, my hair is luscious but was just flat and had a terrible cut, after visiting Yasna I'm so happy my hair has life and volume again! Jasna (Yasna) does amazing work! I had been jumping from salon to salon to salon based upon Groupon deals for years until I came to Figaro Salon's Groupon and had Yasna cut my hair. I have been going back to her for 3 years now. She is truly an expert- I have very fine hair that falls flat easily, and she is the only person who has been able to cut my hair in a way that gives it volume at the top while still looking full at the ends (most other places I have been to sacrifice this for volume- leaving the ends looking stringy and limp). I had her do balayage in my hair before my wedding, and she did a phenomenal job. She uses a special type of dye for balayage that does not require bleaching the hair before (most other stylists bleach your hair- leading to damaged ends) but I was able to avoid this with her (I have dark brown hair). She also blends her balayage really well. She is pricey, costing me $90 (cash) per haircut- more expensive if paid with card, however her prices vary depending on the length/thickness of your hair- if it is your first time, she will have you send her a picture of your hair and give you a price before you make an appointment so you know what you're getting into. I keep going to her despite the price, because I've never had a stylist who does such a great job on my hair! read more

YASNA is the best hairstylist in Houston, hands down. After getting color from her my hair can last for over six months without needing to be refreshed. She has special cutting techniques that clean up the ends of your hair and make it feel amazing. I have been going to her for years after searching all over Houston for a stylist. The salon was beautiful and the owner was nice but yasna is a nightmare. Yasna is extremely disrespectful and rude! I made my appointment for 2 o clock and when I arrived she asked for the girl to shampoo me and then put me under the drier for twenty mins. During this time she took 2 other clients while I was sitting in the chair (which is fine I understand). After 45 mins (@2:45) of me sitting under the drier I approached her to ask her how long she was going to be? and she said "I dont know" I asked what does that mean? ten mins? fifteen mins? and she said "I dont know depends on your pores. I can't tell you" Meanwhile the girl sitting in the chair still has wet hair that she hasn't cut yet. I was like "ok but youre the one cutting it i dont understand". At this point, Im ready to leave because ive already waited 50 mins. and so i approach the man at the front desk who seems to be managing the place and tell him the scenario (turns out is the owner). Yasna from whereever she was comes and starts YELLING at me at the top of her lungs about how HE CAN'T Do shit and that shes her own boss so i can't tell her what to do. UM OK LOL. well im my own boss too and i don't choose to get yelled at for ASKING how long its going to be. I left, and the funniest thing about the experience was that she redeemed my groupon when i left when she didn't even TOUCH my hair once. read more

Just spoke with YASNA on the phone, and she was extremely rude once I told her that I have a Groupon. She asked if my hair was past shoulder length. I told her that it is, but possibly 1 centimeter past, and before I could further explain, she interrupted me saying in a nasty tone, "It's not one centimeter, two centimeters, three centimeters. I asked you if your hair is past shoulder length, and you can't give me a yes or no answer!" She continued on her nasty tangent, so I had to put the phone down to wait for her to finish. I had such a great hair styling and coloring experience with Yasna! My roommate went to her through the groupon and suggested her to me. I'm officially hooked. I've never been able to style my flat thin hair and she colored it perfectly. It looks very natural while still brightening up my original hair color. The haircut also gave me more body than I thought my hair could have. Ive had so much fun showing it off and can't wait to refer people her way. I'm now learning out to curl it to show off all of the color. I got my hair done almost a month ago now and I am still loving it. I'm most definitely going back to her. Worth every penny. read more

Yasna is AMAZING ! I too have been a 'Groupon hair hopper' for a while now, but no more. Yasminka is blunt, she is entertaining and she is great at what she does. Are her prices high? Sure. But, you get what you pay for. If you order a steak at Applebee's, it is going to be a different quality then if you order a steak at Morton's. Some things are worth paying for. Jasna (Yasna) is incredible. I have been going to her for 12 years, since I went from very long hair to a pixie cut, and now I never let anyone else touch my head. The first time I went, she really listened to what I wanted, but gave me advice about what she thought would work well for my face shape, natural hair lines, etc (and of course she was right). Now I just walk in and tell her to do whatever she wants, and she makes my hair look amazing. She is truly an artist, it never has an awkward phase as it grows out - in fact, I often like the way it looks as it grows out months later as much as I liked the original cut. read more

I had the worst experience ever here on 12/31/2015 Jasminka Lekovic I text the beautician to see if she had availability o do a haircut and curl she said yes come in 30 minutes, and I did.. I explained that I was a bit in a rush and had to get a pedicure and manicure and go to mall and other things it was 3:12 pm she sent me to her shampoo girl and when I was done went an sat and waited 30 minutes and got up to see where she was at she was chit chatting with the manicurist and filing her nails I expressed to her that I was in a hurry that I also had to do pedi and mani and there was a client of theirs there and she mentioned that they also do pedi and mani. I said great, I can have it done there... Never once did they tell me how much it was going to cost me and that the manicurist did not accept credit card payments. Jasminka did not cut my hair to my liking nor did she take the time time to do it correctly. I paid a total of $84.00 with tip for a simple cut and lazy style curl that I ended up brushing out and when I took a closer look she onl;y cut the tips and nothing else now i need to go somewhere else so they can cut my hair correctly this is clearly not an $84 haircut I was ripped off. Now for the manicurist charged me $70 for a simple pdei mani no solar no shalak/gel nails nothing and she said she does not take credit cards I gave her 80 and they did not give me any change back so I basically paid $80 for a simple pedi and mani that would have cost me only $25.00 at TN Nails located on Texas pkwy oh and by the way they treat you amazing and do a terrific job only thing was I thought they were good at what they did because of where they were located. Boy was I wrong the quality was poor and so was the service. Ontop of all that she failed to return my card and I had to go back with all that traffic on New Years Eve and not once did they aplogize for the inconvenience!!! read more

I've been going here for a couple of years (the salon just moved down the road to a new location), and Jasna does my hair. She's INCREDIBLE. She cuts and styles my hair (medium length, thick, straight) every 2-3 months and has also done my hair for my bridal shower and wedding (wedding photo attached). I'm moving to Austin this month for a graduate program at UT but will definitely be coming back to Houston to see Jasna. I can't imagine finding anyone better. Also, Navid does make-up at Figaro. BEWARE OF FINE PRINT. After buying a Groupon, I called to make an appointment and was notified that there would be an additional charge of up to $70. The fine print did say that there COULD be an additional charge for hair past shoulders... Classic bait and switch. Buy a $79 Groupon and end up pending $150. When questioning the charge, the guy at Figaro was rude and essentially told us to fly a kite. Can't speak to their work but hopefully the poor customer service catches up to them. read more

Yasna is the best hairstylist I've ever had! I've been going to her for over 2 years, when a friend recommended her and have been her client since. She finds just the right of tones of highlights for my skin color and it is right on every time - my hair does not suffer from the dryness that highlights can cause due to the high quality of product she uses plus Yasna knows best! I trust her, because she knows hair better than any other stylist I've ever had. When I walk out of the salon I look amazing and I have long hair and lots of it yet she always takes her time and is never rushed - I can really appreciate that because at the moment I step into the salon I want it to be about me (it's a girl thing).
