The lady who serviced me was way too old. She not only finished me in 30 minutes but when she was scrubbing my feet, she was hitting my poor feet so hard i was jerking in my seat. Very clean and well priced spot! I'm a guy and won the genetic lottery with bushy out of control eyebrows - as a result I've been getting my eyebrows done regularly for the past decade. I've been to many different providers, and hands down I can say Kathy at this location gives me the best eyebrow wax I've ever had, every time! She has incredible attention to detail and never makes them look feminine or too curvy which has been a challenge at other places in the past. The funny thing is I've never told her how to do them or asked for a specific shape, she just uses her own judgement and they look perfect. So happy I walked in here. I was doing a little shopping in the neighborhood and I wanted to get my nails done so I stopped by.. Asked for a full set and pedicure and started with the pedicure. Of course they try to upsell you and ask if you want to get the dead skin off ur feet so I said yea and before I know it "oh it's $30" ok well can't back down now. Long story short my toes came out pretty good:) Next thing my full set, I didn't ask for solar but I got solar so it's automatically $30. When I didn't want solar..I came in at 6ish and they close at 7 so I felt like my full set was a little rushed. The guy was very nice but yea one of my nails came out so uneven. I give it 2 1/2 stars if I could but it's whatever. I'll probley stick to my usual nail shop next time. read more

This place is as good as it gets with nail care. I am extremely picky with people doing my nails. I never have a problem when I go here. They look great, I ALWAYS get compliments, and my solar nails usually stay looking great for 4 weeks! I only have Lynn do my nails, so I recommend using her. I'm not familiar with the others. I've heard Kathy does an excellent job too. Tina does an AWESOME job with pedi's. Definitely call ahead and make an appointment with Lynn. Recently moved to the area and wanted to get a trim with long layers. I didn't want to spend $40 plus dollars... so l found this place on yelp and gave it a try. This is after a year of having horrible experiences at other salons (ombrė gone wrong, overpaying for bad hair service, and recently going for a trim somewhere else which they left a lot of damaged hair and it ended up looking choppy). I really like how my hair turned out, paid $25 for cut & style, Mimi removed the damage without overcutting and added long layers to give it shape. My hair looks great! Salon was nice and very clean. I was greeted with a smile and people who spoke English which was nice but it seems that I got stuck with the bad seeds there. The lady that did my toes Timmy is her name, was very rude and spastic . Very pushy in telling me why I shouldn't get the colors I liked cause it was "too dark for summer ". I didn't appreciate that. She also forgot to clip and clean one foot. I had to remind her which was strange. Her and the gentilman (who ended up doing my fill) , Tim , were arguing and bickering back and forth during my whole pedicure. I then sat with Tim for my fill and I didn't like how he man handled my hands and arms and when I noticed one nail was extremely uneven, he proceeded to argue with me.. Just not good customer service. He left polish on my hand and also complained about my color. The price was good but you definitely get what you pay for. Which isn't much to say at all! Tried this place out but will it be back. Upon entering the nail salon there are brochures listing the services and prices. I found the services I wanted and was shortly seated. When I told the technician the service I wanted, they told me that the prices and services, "are no good and old." They indicated the menu was outdated and not valid and would not honor it. Disappointed to see that they do not use the foot spa liners that so many other salons use today. Very small, only six pedicure chairs. Many salons today offer free soda, water or wine. This location has a vending machine where you can purchase a beverage. Colors are very limited and services felt rushed. Felt dark and a little dirty also was pretty warm as if the A/C was not on. read more

Friendly staff, but I would not recommend this place for shellac/gel manicures. They have a very limited selection of colors, and most of them were dried up and old. There was no color wheel, so it took a lot of testing the colors before I settled on something I was just "ok" with, not excited. They applied the gel so thick that I may as well have acrylics. It looks a little tacky that way, and it peels and chips off faster. read more

Mimi is my go to for my highlights! She always does a fantastic job and is very sweet and easy to talk to. For her alone I would give this place 5 stars, but my only problem is that every time I have visited-even after always scheduling my appointment in advance-I always end up having to wait 30 min-1 hour. However, Mimi is always very efficient and when she knew I was pressed for time once after waiting nearly an hour, did my hair in less than 2 hours (I have very long hair and it usually takes 3 1/2-4 hours to highlight) and it still looked fabulous! So I will definitely continue to go here and would highly recommend Mimi for your hair needs- just be ready to most likely have to wait a while, even with an appointment booked. read more

If you're looking for a high quality, professional stylist who can do any age range, get an appointment in with Carol ASAP! She's been doing my hair for a while and I always get compliments on the cut & color. Sometimes I feel edgy & ask for a "scene" style, other times I just want some layers or my bangs changed. I am always happy with the results as she really listens to what you want and makes suggestions. She's also cut & highlighted my 13yr old daughter's hair several times and the kid is over the moon each time, something that's difficult to pull off with the "I want my hair exactly like the pic of this emo girl I took with my phone cam" set. I have never paid over $100 for a full wash, cut, dye & style with Carol really taking her time to make sure you leave with the look that you wanted. She takes continuing education classes in color and trends and you will always get in & out of the salon with minimal wait time. You can also have your nails done, get a pedi, massage, waxing, etc at the other part of the full service salon. The parking lot can get filled quickly but this is the Heights, so you can park on the street easily and safely. I went there last night for a hair cut, eye brows wax and manicure. I was greeted right away and didn't have to wait. First, I had a broken nail past the quick. Painful but for $5, Mya was able to repair it. My nails were also uneven and she was able to work her magic and make my nails all even. Mimi did a fantastic job on my hair. I had a pedi with salt scrub (It wasn't anything special so I wouldn't recommend) Their nail polish choices were pretty slim-but I chose a nice yellow (for the summer). The receptionist said they could take me at 9AM the next day. I was there before the appointed time, but no one was in the shop, and tried to call twice and just got their voicemail. I received a great haircut and style here! The rates are very affordable, and the atmosphere is inviting. The staff were very friendly. I did go in for a short haircut and the stylist kind of insisted that I go with 'long layers' and since I didn't really care that much and am sort of a push-over, I went with the 'long layers'. The cut and style are beautiful, but I am only giving 4/5 stars because I think I would have had to push the issue if I really wanted the shorter haircut. read more

I have a love, hate relationship with this place. Have gone to this place for years when I lived in the area and got to know the workers well. Most of them are very friendly. I recently moved and have tried other places and honestly, it was an eye opener. This place is cheap but you get what you pay for. I have often come home from this place with uneven paint and nail filing on both my toes and hands but since I know the people, I'm too nice to say anything. I also don't appreciate the rushed service when it starts to get busy. It's like they'll spend time on you if there's no demand but once people start coming in, your time is up. Also, I distinctly remember asking to have a single nail fixed as I messed it up typing on my phone while the paint was drying. Instead of taking off the polish and repolishing, the worker decided to add another coat of paint. This in turn made that nail grossly darker than the rest of my nails and this was after I told her I was getting my engagement photos done that day. Anyway, long story short I'm not coming back. They're cheap compared to other places though if you're looking to save money. read more

She waxed, plucked, trimmed, plucked again, only stopping when they were perfect and even. She seemed to really care about them looking good.
