I've been training Muay Thai for a few years now and this is one of my favorite gyms I've trained at. The gym is small but it doesn't affect the quality of training at all in my opinion. Coach Gerson and Coach Anthony AKA "Frog" are very knowledgeable and you can tell they take a lot of pride in teaching good Muay Thai technique. I've learned a lot of new techniques at fight solutions and can say my Muay Thai has grown a lot training here. This gym is a very close knit group and I'm proud to be apart of it. If you are thinking of putting your child in the tiny tots class please do it! The prices are great and the coaches are better. My daughter really loves the tiny tots class. We haven't been going for long but my daughter always waves when we drive by. The coaches (Natasha and Evany) are really good with children I've noticed that the only time she stops participating is when I interrupt her, Natasha and Evany really has a way of encouraging the kids. They always take the time to have patience while teaching them respect. Something that even I can intergrade into my parenting. I've noticed how much happier she's became in this short time span. She was going through a rebelious phase with the custody battle going on but putting her in classes she enjoys has really changed the game. Natasha even switched the red gloves my daughter didn't want out with pink ones (because my kid is pink obsessed). I think this may be the most worth it 5 star review I could ever give. Great classes for kids. My son attends the BJJ class twice a week and he loves it. The coaches do very well with the kids.

I'm so happy they have a toddler lesson! Today was the trial day for my 3 year old son and I am so happy my coworker told me about this place. Natasha and Dixie are absolutely amazing. My son is EXTREMELY energetic and a typical 3 year old whose mind wanders. They were about to reel him back in and engage him in the lesson. In my opinion, they were using strong collection tactics instead of trying to work with client who had thought she already cancelled after her child's 1-year term ended. I started training here about 11 months after my brother first began. I just remember attending the gym's belt ceremonies for Muay Thai and watching my brother improve his technique dramatically. I remember seeing every person "testing" for their belt, and the look of accomplishment each of them had afterwards. I had been training at another gym and in no way did I feel I was getting the full kickboxing experience. My old gym planted the seed, but I began to see Chute Boxe as an opportunity for advancement in training. I had tried out a couple of trial classes and was waiting to save some money before committing to a term. I have been training for about two weeks and it is just as I expected: intense, technical Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu training. We spar and roll nearly every class session, and every time we learn something new. I didn't think that I could ever see myself competing in martial arts, but since I've begun, I know that this is the perfect place to prepare me for such an experience. Gerson and Natasha are awesome and I have always gotten good vibes from them and the way the gym interacts immediately conveys "family" in my opinion. I read through some of the other reviews and I can only say that I have never had any issues with the sanitation or health concerns. Chute Boxe has always had a clean bathroom equipped with: toilet paper, soap, a hand dryer and even free mini deodorants. The mats are wiped down after every class, and in between classes (even if it cuts into workout time a little bit). It has postings informing you of what ringworm/staff infections are so that we all take adequate precautions. If you're still paranoid after seeing how clean we keep this place, invest in some rash guards. I'll happily review again after some months in training to see if I feel the same way, but I doubt I will change my mind. read more

I think whoever gave a 5 Star here is probably the owner or related to the owner. My son started coming here in February. He was attending 2-3 times a week. The warm ups, techniques that they were doing is repetitive. My son did not learn anything here. I was expecting this will be a really good studio. I'm so disappointed. I'm trying to cancel with Natasha and she's not letting me cancel . She told me to keep bringing my son to try other classes. I cannot forced my son to come here if he's unhappy here and not having a good experience. The trainers need to be more aggressive and serious and not just chatting. It's so unprofessional. Seriously, is your business that broke? You're still trying to collect money from my bank even though we're not receiving any services from Chute Boxe!?! read more

This is a great place to learn and train. I originally joined as an alternative to going to a normal gym but here not only did I learn the basics for Muy Thai and MMA, but I lost weight which was a big deal for me. At the end of class you get to do some light sparring with your classmates which reinforces what you learned from that days class and past classes. Anthony was my instructor and was very good about showing us new moves, using the moves correctly, and correcting us when we practice the moves incorrectly. I recommend this place to all of friends who are interested in MMA and losing weight. Their facilities are clean and spacious and all of their instructors are respectful and knowledgeable. You don't realize how good your training is until you compare videos of sparring at other gyms to sparring sessions at Fight Solutions. Or even better, when you look at your own growth after a year of training at this gym compared to that at another gym. What's best about this facility, is the emphasis on technique, speaking specifically on the adult classes-- there's usually a broad range of experience, but if you come consistently, and are willing to listen, you'll get better. Most gyms focus purely on teaching flashy moves that are unreasonable to execute in a fight situation, and likely to get your injured if you do them without using the proper technique. At FS, you'll definitely learn "cool looking" moves, but you'll learn the technique needed to capitalize on those moves and actually make them worth doing. Who cares if you know a flashy kick if it only lands 15% of the time it's used with barely any power? Not only that, the basics--jab/cross/hook/roundhouse, drills are done to perfect technique and execution. I didn't realize how much doing things the right way, and not just powering through them, mattered until I came to this gym. If you're open, consistent, and driven you'll definitely have a great experience at FS. Not to mention, there are a ton of classes so you can really fit in a practice with almost any work schedule. I'm an engineer, and I tend to work longer hours, however classes start as late as 9pm on some days, so I'm often able to fit multiple days of a workout in per week. read more

They have stayed focused and continue to be eager to attend for the last 9 months. I trained there for a week and the bathrooms were enough to keep me away haha just kidding but no really, they were terrible. It just didnt feel like a good envionrment. I've been training here with Gerson since about 2011. A true master of his craft, he is an incredible coach with a wealth of experience in the fight game. The buck doesn't stop with martial arts though. He and his wife Natasha are genuinely amazing people that care about their students and staff. They make you feel like family. Chute Boxe Long Beach has become a home away from home to me. I began training there over two years ago, following coach Gerson from Huntington Beach. Chute Boxe is a very intimate gym that offers only the best traditional Muay Thai classes, as well as jiu-jitsu and diversified MMA techinique. My forte is in Muay Thai, but I have taken a few of the jiu-jitsu classes as well and although it is not my strength, I was able to pick it up quickly because of the enthusiasm of the students there and the patience and good direction of the coaches. The classes are high-intesity work-outs where you not only get a great work-out but your skill develops quickly since you are taught technique and sparring as well. This makes it more realistic and raw. If you are looking for a world-class training facility where you want to learn how to fight, not how to hit bags, then this is the gym for you! read more

In the 5yrs experience I've had doing muay thai at a "dog eat dog" gym...i am very impressed here at chute box. I've learned more technique in the 3x I've been here. WARNING!! Avoid this place if thinking of enrolling children. As parents we try to expose our young one's to new things. My 12 year old really thought he wanted to do muay thai. After the first free practice I asked him again if he was sure, he said yes. So I enrolled using my visa card. 2 months later bored of doing the same 4 or 5 moves he did not want to continue. I explained to the staff of his change of mind and was told there was no way out of the contract or to stop the $80.00 a month deduction from my visa. As far as the instructor, he could not even demonstrate to the kids how to do a burpee correctly. After the third session watching the kids flop on the ground like fish I brought it to his attention. If you are to be an instructor then instruct correctly. Anyway that's been 6 months ago and still paying $80.00 a month. You have been informed so proceed at your own risk. No stars!!! read more
