    Main Gym

Great local gym! I love how this gym has taken on the identity of the surrounding Bayshore community. It's built right on the beach, so it has breathtaking views from either inside, through windows, or on the dope rooftop outside. For a small space there is plenty of equipment, machines, and free weights for everyone. Separated by floors: weight lifting, cardio, stretching, and fitness classes. Probably my favorite part of the gym is the local cafe that's attached which serves delicious smoothies and panini sandwiches. The payment plans are very flexible & affordable for annual members. There is a month-to-month option, but that cost more. Why not 5 stars: - Parking can be incredibly difficult to find during typical workout hours. - Can feel cramped in certain spaces due to the layout and structure of the building. The building design is NYC-esque. - At times can see the formation of cliques and can feel like an outsider.

What's not to love?! This club is very clean and well-equipped. It has a rooftop beach view, some classes outside, a café with breakfast and smoothies, steam rooms, cold eucalyptus-infused towels and excellent staff and instructors! Troy set up my free trial, where I experienced an awesome sound-healing yoga class. He really helped me to find the perfect membership, and now I have a positive and fun community to work out with:))

This is a stellar gym experience. Whether you're traveling and need a short term place to really jack up your exercise intensity or looking for a long term exercise community that will continuously push you to your limits. I'd highly recommend Onix and Iconix gyms. Onix is as if CrossFit, Barry's and F45 all had a beautiful baby that is ready to kick your ass into go mode. I am a CrossFit athlete and travel a lot and it's so hard to find a good gym that I leave feeling accomplished. This gym is phenomenal in that it pushes you to your limit whether you're a beginner or an advanced athlete. I've had the pleasure to work with some coaches and they all bring a unique twist to the experience that really solidifies the gym's credibility. The head coach AJ is amazing and highly educated which shows in the weekly programming. Also, Jake, Adriana, and Lo are some other coaches I've worked with that are not only so personable and welcoming, but don't let you give up and make sure your giving it your all. Ben and Sarah at the front desk were awesome and were able to get me started in the gym, as well as the sick recovery club they have which includes an ice cold plunge pool, sauna, red light therapy, ergo tech, and Dexa machine. I highly recommend Onix if you have a busy lifestyle like me and want to hit an intense, efficient work out daily. Add on Iconix membership to really get the full experience of a full sized gym, yoga studio, boxing, cycling, rooftop work out area, and top of the line locker rooms with steam rooms, shower, and all the necessities you need to hit it hard and head to work. Reach out to Sam at iconix she was able to set me up at both gyms and I am so grateful! Whether you chose Onix, Iconix or both you're doing yourself a favor and will not regret it!

I prefer Naples fitness over other gyms because of the one-on-one attention that is given along with a clean and professional gym. David does a great job listening to his clients in what outcome they are looking for then works together with you to achieve that. I appreciate how knowledgeable David is about the human body and how he adjusts workouts based on my needs and abilities. He also creates and designs a work out program specifically to me. I can discuss diet and stretches that help me on my own time. When injured David takes the time to focus on the issue with stretches, mobility and muscle massages. Overall there's nothing bad I can say about Naples Fitness and I'm thankful I have a gym like this to go to.

Naples Fitness is so awesome that I lost a pound just walking in the door. Seriously, they're THAT…read moregood. ;) To be fair and give an honest assessment, I must share that I do know the owner Dave, but that does not mean my review is slanted as a result. I have had personal training before, both in a gym and independently. The NF studio rates top notch in my book. The clean and spacious environment affords great equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. Want to watch TV? Done. Want good music to pump iron too? Done. Need a locker for your valuables? Done. And how about the nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a fitness studio? Done, yet again. Dave is a great person and fantastic personal trainer. He is super friendly and wants to tune into you completely for the best workout. Dave is there to motivate you, ignore your excuses, get you pumped and make sure you do it all effectively and safely. While I don't know the other trainers individually, when I met them at the Seal Beach 5/10k, they were all super friendly and highly supportive of all the event participants running on behalf of Naples Fitness. A core reason I like NF is their involvement and support for community events while also supporting health and fitness. Whether it's in getting a group to do a community run, take donations for the Ronald McDonald house, or give away free beach boot camp classes in exchange for food, NF and their staff are never too busy to do great things on a local level. I love my city, and so does Naples Fitness. So, what you really want to know about is the workout, right? Each exercise and workout is tailored specifically to you, your ability, your initial fitness level and your goals. The workouts structured for me have been great, some familiar to me and some new, and completely doable both in and outside the fitness studio. The hardest, and while I hesitate to admit it, but also the best part of the time I worked with Dave was when he worked on my hamstrings and tight muscles. I've never had that done for me, and while it totally caused me to cringe, wince, cry and maybe curse a little, it was the best part of my workout and long over due. I just might sign up for that torture alone. Ultimately, it isn't my review that's going to get you to get off the couch and sign up. It's going to be your choice, and when you're ready, choose Naples Fitness.

It would be really helpful if you weren't confronted as a yoga newbie with instructors trying to get you to do hand stands or the very challenging moves and weight lifts in the Pilates x Strength class. I think they need to give info to the members about difficulty ahead of time or section off some classes as beginner, etc. I belong to another Club Studio in a different city as well, so I'd have to say the staff at the front desk at this club can be a little unfriendly and inattentive compared to the other club. But I love most of the yoga teachers at this Club Studio, and I really think they made great choices in hiring Sandi, Kelly, Karen, and Jason. They all have great personalities and try to make the classes accessible for people with injuries or special problems . But if you're a senior with a lot of physical problems, this club is probably not for you. The emphasis is definitely on the youthful customer here, and I hope I can keep up with the classes for as long as I'm physically able before I have to go somewhere else less challenging.

I hadn't taken a yoga class in years but with age taking its toll, a gentle sustained stretch and relaxation class like the Ground & Restore seemed just the ticket. They have a wide variety of classes, though, for every level and interest--check out their website for details. You sign in at the front desk and pay your instructor directly (Venmo or cash). They are a donation-based studio, which makes their classes very affordable. The facility has been around for a while--maybe since the 1970s?--but is clean and well-maintained. You put your shoes in a cubby by the main studio before entering. The main studio is roomy and serene, with a large window on one side, which looks out on to the courtyard. There are cupboards in the back with blocks, blankets, and straps, and a small room off to the side with more cubbies for your other stuff, like bags, jackets, etc. I've been really enjoying my classes at this studio, and go every chance I get. BTW, this is the studio behind the famous yoga on the bluffs in Bluff Park overlooking the beach, if outdoor yoga is more your thing.
