This was my 2nd time dining at their restaurant/bistro in Newberry. I happen to work with some Filipinos, so I am no stranger to their cuisine. Pancit, Chicken Adobo and Lumpia are likely the most common dishes you'll see. The Filipino Flavors food trucks will have these options and likely one other special of the day entree. I definitely encourage you to go to their restaurant & bistro in Newberry. They have a lot more lunch & dinner options along with tasty desserts & drinks. Between the food trucks & restaurant, I've had their chicken adobo, pork adobo, lechón kawali, pancit, lumpia, siopao buns, halo-halo, & buko pandan. I haven't had a meal here that was anything other than delicious and satisfying. There are still so many items I look forward to trying. Highly recommend the lechón kawali (crispy pork belly) and the buko pandan, if you like coconut flavor! Also, they have fabulous staff that are super friendly!

I have both had take out and dine in. Friendly staff cute atmosphere with some good Filipino food. They also do catering. My 1/2 Filipino family enjoys it and to me the dishes are a blend of Filipino flavors but slightly more fil-am, not so heavy on the salt or magic sarap. Oh yeah and the deserts are the bomb.

From the outside the place seems a little sketchy, but once you walk in it's a whole different vibe. Beautiful place, very clean. The server was really nice and talkative, gave us so much information on the business and the food. The food was yummy but tasted a little old. Saw on the Instagram a "secret menu item" which was just a chicken siopao but deep fried. Tried it and loved it, so had to to try it regular which was yummy as well. I have a filipino boyfriend so I've tried a lot of these things and they weren't the best but they were good.

Love! Stopped in for the first time for lunch. Everything was great. The service was friendly and helpful. So good.

I was visiting Newberry for a baseball tournament and found on Google maps that this place was nearby! I was so excited because this is the food of my people! We had the lumpia, adobo, siopao and sinigang (which was our fave entree!! Nice and tangy just how we love it!) We ended with two ube cupcakes that are literally life changing. If they are on display, you HAVE to order some. I say "some" because one is not enough.

Went for camping near ginnie spring and trying to find filipino food so happy we found this only place in newberry! Highly recommended this place, they cook your food fresh and serve it hot. Sooo good . Must try .. staff are nice and the interior is pretty

A really cool new place in Newberry! The veggie pancit was good, but the pork lumpia was even better! The portions were really generous and prices were affordable. The sauce that came with the pork lumpia was amazing! The inside was clean, service was friendly, and food came out quickly. Check it out, and we'll be back!

Filipino Flavors recently took over this location and all I can say is WOW. They have completely transformed the area. It used to look like an old cafeteria and now it looks like a trendy restaurant. The whole ambiance changed and it is all for the better. I went for lunch and there was so much that I wanted to try. I definitely ordered way to much food but it was all so delicious. Top 3 must haves: 1. Pork lumpia- it's crunchy , it's salty , it comes with some sort of duck sauce , and the lunch special comes on a bed of jasmine garlic rice and it's incredible. 2. Sweet pork bun- if you've never had Filipino food before (like me) then it is hard to compare this to anything. It's a bun the size of a cheeseburger filled with pork. The outside is a tiny bit sticky and the bread is as soft as a pillow. Sort of like sweet like a Hawaiian roll. 3. Flan- OH MY GOOD LAWD! This is hands down the best flan in north central Florida. So thick , so rich . I am in love. All I need was a little cafecito. I will definitely becoming back to taste some more of this menu!

This place was 25 minutes away from us, but it's so worth it! It's not very often I get to eat Filipino food, so I'm glad this place opened up! I ordered the pork adobo and was not disappointed. The pork was seasoned sooo well, and it was extremely tender. Paired with soft jasmine rice, it was perfect. Next time, I'm going to try the lechón kawali dish. Please visit this place if you want good Filipino food!

Words can't explain how happy I am to have authentic, delicious, Filipino food in North Florida! This family owned business started off from a tent at food truck festivals, to 1 food truck, to 2 food trucks, and now a restaurant/bakery in Newberry. It's incredible to see how they have had so much success. They completely deserve it. The food is incredible, home made and so full of authentic Filipino Flavors. I can't say I have a favorite because every time I eat, I choose something different and fall in love. The atmosphere at any location is family friendly and when you talk to the Chef, the owners, and the servers, they're so kind, relatable, and make you feel at home. They also love to talk about the dishes! Ask them how to eat your halo halo ;) I was very fortunate to have my graduation catering from Filipino Flavors and my Venezuelan family from Miami was so impressed! They hope that one day they will expand throughout South Florida too! One of the most special things about Filipino Flavors is that they want you to have the best experience. The Chef has a hashtag on instagram, #MealsByMaryann, if you see a particular meal you'd like, you can always request it for catering or even if you see a special Filipino treat you'd like to try, request it, they will go out of their way to plan to show cast it on a future menu as a special! They're very special with their customers. Follow them on Facebook Filipino Flavors Florida and instagram @filipinoflavorsflorida, to be up to do date on their hours, dates, and menu!

Lunch today was awesome !!! Lol then I got some steam buns for snack later. The staff was friendly, we will be coming back

I've been to their food truck before and it was great. This adorable restaurant is even better because of the large selection of food. We had the ox tail and pork belly which were so good. It's was a tough choice since it all looked so great. Clean and beautiful little place and very friendly staff. So happy that we have this place in Newberry!

Desserts to consider when you're picking up your order

Fantastic food and great service! We had the chicken adobo, pork lumpia side, and the flan for dessert. All were packaged to go very well. I had to wait for the flan to finish, which they kept apologizing for though there was no need. It was, quite possibly, the best flan I've ever had in my life.

The cafe is more on the smaller side but it's cozy and the customer service is always happy and friendly! When you walk inside, there's a hot bar with all the food items available that day. You can check their Facebook page for their menu each day! You can get combos like an entree and a side, two entrees and a side, etc. On the shelves near the windows, there are local Filipino desserts like crinkles, puto (rice cake), flan, etc for sale. They also sell mac salad in the fridge and some dried fish on the shelves. What I love about this cafe is that they have a small snacks/drinks/candy market next to the dining area. The dining area is a good size and faces the parking lot. On this particular Saturday, we had the following entrees and sides: Lechon (roasted pig), Kaldereta (Filipino beef stew), and some rice! The lechon pieces were big and the skin (my fav!) was crispy, salty, and golden! The meat was also juicy and not dry. What I like to do is dip the meat into some white vinegar to give it some acidity since the lechon is on the heavy side after a few bites. The Kaldereta was hearty, rich, flavorful and it reminded me of an elevated beef stew. The potatoes and carrots literally melted in my mouth! I gave my combo plate a 8.5/10! My husband had Humba (braised pork belly that is slow cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, fermented black beans, and sugar) and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He shared some pieces of it with me and it was smooth as butter. It was sweet and salty and his rice soaked up all the sauces. Definitely a must try! I would give it a 9/10 because the flavors were so rich and it made me want even more! The prices are reasonable for how much food you're getting! They also sell desserts like halo halo (shaved iced with fresh fruits, taro ice cream, toppings like flan, condensed milk, jellies, beans, etc.) I've personally had the halo halo and it's one of my favorites! Super refreshing on a hot summer day. They also sell mango and taro flavored cakes but you have to call in advance for whole cakes. Their cakes are light, delicious, and fluffy! I especially enjoy the mango cake because you get chunks of fresh, champagne mangoes on and inside the cake. We've been coming here for years and don't plan on stopping. My husband is a bit of a Filipino food snob at times, but Lola's definitely has a special place in his heart! They do military discounts too, FYI!

So I went to plan B: When at a food truck rally, all ways look for the trucks with the longest lines. There were a couple that were long but Manila seemed unusually long. A quick browsing of the menu made me realize why. Lumpia, Pork and Chicken Skewers, Pancit, no wonder. Not only did it sound good it smelled wonderful. We made our way to the back of the line. Wait wasn't painfully long as some folks ahead of us gave up and walked off. Patience is a virtue that will be rewarded. The guy taking orders at one point told us in line that they had to stop taking orders for 10 mins just so they could catch up on the orders already placed. Wow. By the time we got to the stand they had ran out of Adobo (pork stew) and the Lumpia entrees. Luckily we could still have lumpia as a side item which meant we couldn't get 7 but instead 3. Cool. I ordered the Liempo (grilled pork belly) Combo with garlic rice and lumpia. It took less than 5 mins before it got to my hands so they were cranking out some food. OMG everything was delish. The liempo was grilled to perfection. Usually anything grilled needs some kinda sauce over it. This needed none of that. If I could I would just order a platter of liempo and pop them in my mouth like popcorn, very tender and juicy. The lumpia was freshly out the fryer and was hot when bitten into, very good. The garlic was a nice compliment to the liempo. I was expecting it to be real garlicky but it was subtle and pleasant. I definitely enjoyed everything and will be returning to this truck in the future.
