The vermicelli comes underneath this mound of pork holy grail, and while I'm used to having my vermicelli with these bowls cold and a bit thinner, and there being significantly more noodles than meat ratio, I'm thrilled to say that not this bowl - this bowl was 60% pork, 30% noodle, and 10% veggie. I'm taking every bite with 2-3 pieces of pork. I'm soaking up the juices with the noodles. I'm crunching on a few cucumbers to balance it out. I'm savoring every piece. Absolutely wonderful. I'm so excited to go back and try every one of their dishes. The restaurant itself is small, located inside of a shared mini-food court place with a pasta-to-go restaurant and a boba tea shop, and has a really cute sitting area. The chicken was cooked well and lightly seasoned (which worked perfectly for the pad Thai). The vegetables on top of the pad Thai were also very fresh and you could tell they were freshly cut. The lack of peanut/pad thai taste was the most disappointing part that unfortunately lost it for us. The service was good. There's a dark sauce they put on the sandwich too which is really good. There's are freshly sliced jalapeños so take note if you don't like spicy. They are very thinly sliced so it's not overwhelming but there's a little kick. My wife got a sandwich but also tried one of the Korean sticks. She got the stick without a hotdog. It was basically a block of cheese coated in diced potatoes, kind of like frozen breakfast potatoes you can get at the grocery store. They deep fry it so the cheese is completely melted. I think she's glad she tried it, but I don't think she was impressed. We'll just stick to Banh Mi next time.

It is one of my favorites so I feel like it's something that I can't speak upon. I did have a good amount of vegetables and I love the fact that they use lotus roots. And eggplant. However, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst so I feel like that one was a good effort. Onto cleanliness. I really feel like they have a lot of room for improvement here. Even if most of your business businesses carry out, which I imagine it is, you still need to have a knee and clean environment for people to feel comfortable. And I believe that that's where my father-in-law's trepidation came to play. I can't say it was overly dirty, but you can tell that it was worn out. And I saw a lot of carryout business happening. That means that you still have a pretty decent cash flow coming in. My suggestion, as a restaurant consultant, is to use your days off to do a gut of all things unnecessary, do a deep clean and or replace things that obviously need replacing. And there's quite a bit that needs replacing. I'm talking tables, chairs, Flooring, paint the walls, etc. Also dollar store cutlery honestly is never OK when you're charging the prices that you are.
