I went this afternoon with my family, and overall it was a good experience. Friendly staff, content customers, with a simple decor using common bar items to create light fixtures and decorations. I'd been to the old location twice, and trying this one wasn't a disappointment in the grand scheme of things. I enjoyed my time with my family, that's the important part, and I feel like I would enjoy going again, despite what follows. All three of us ordered the steak special for Saturday night. Salad+baked potato with a medium rare x2; mw steak with baked and steamed veggies as the third dinner. Our dinners, outside of the steaks were great. The steaks, were as follows: both MR were rare, as in unedible rare. Where the MW was "well done, but not so well done it's super dry". Now the steaks were good cut, but it seemed the issue was roughly a 5-7 degree swing in the wrong direction on all three. As a cook myself, I understand the conditions of a kitchen and how narrow a margin that is. I sent my steak back, and it came back a nice medium, it was tasty and the waiter was pleasant about it. I feel, given my experience in the kitchen this could be an oversight of the management more than the cook. A half dozen servers often standing around chatting instead of helping the cooks in back tells a tale. I'm guessing, based on the chat with the waiting, with the use of "The" and "he" instead of "them" and "us" this place follows a faulty method of stack the front with servers and neglect the back that a lot of places have. I could be wrong, but experience tells me this is more likely as a cause than anything. So if there really was only one cook on earlier: I feel bad for him, and he did well given his circumstances with serving staff hanging out chattering while he slaved back there to feed the whole place. I've been there, and there's only so much one guy can do at once, and to be frank. The difference of 7 degrees on a steak is the difference between food poisoning or a medium steak. If it's a singular cook, scrambling to feed all of those people with no help, then something as touchy as 4-7 degrees on a steak will suffer. If that isn't the case, and there's actually a team back there, with a dedicated grill man, and a side guy, and a pass team leader and others, then that changes things drastically. I'm uncertain which, but given my experiences in the business, I expect its the former and won't hold it against the guy manning the grill this time. I'll reserve my judgment for a later time, and I honestly hope the owners read this. One cannot expect a kitchen to produce temp specific meals in quantity with servers lolling about and a single man in the kitchen if that was the case. That's one you, as the owner for not staffing properly, if that was the case, and despite it being common, it's not conducive to good business. I could be wrong in my assumption, but I'll need to come again, and ask how many people are back there I guess to find out. Regardless: We enjoyed our time, despite the fact I had to send my dinner back to be recooked, and my mother had to take most of hers home to cook herself. read more

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. We came in and it took 20 minuets for the waiter to come over and even ask for our drinks. Then after that I ordered a steak and it had food in it. We asked for the manager and she said we will have to wait. She then comes over 30 minuets later telling us that they won't do anything about it. Great place to come for food. I always end up here for Quesadilla night! They are AMAZING! They took a while to come out but I can deal with that. Tried to prime rib, trash plate and buffalo chicken. All were great! Would definitely come back. read more

A friend and I THOUGHT we were meeting at the last place we had lunch in Webster, Pub 235 (wasn't this a gas station at one point?). Instead we accidentally went to the Filling Station. What a mistake. My turkey wrap was bad (old lettuce and a "funny" taste to the turkey), and my partner's taco salad came with some kind of Russian dressing? My side was cottage cheese, and it was basically soup. Watery soup. Really just gross food. In retrospect, we should have just turned around and went to where we thought were going. I'm new to the area and was given a recommendation to come to The Filling Station..Needless to say I love it! It is by far one of my most favorite pub's in the area. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the Filling Station Pub & Grill! We stopped in for lunch earlier this week and were wowed with a rather extensive menu. The decor is decidedly sports bar-oriented, but the food was quite good. My husband ordered the cuban panini and found it to be delicious. He mentioned unique twist to the mustard or sauce that was a pleasant surprise in contrast to the traditional yellow mustard in the cuban sandwich. My nine year old ordered the hot roast beef sandwich that came smothered in gravy. As a huge carnivore, his eyes grew as big as saucers when he saw the size of the sandwich. No worries though, the sandwich was quickly devoured (and enjoyed). My order of the turkey club grilled wrap was perfect. Cool lettuce and tomato contrasted with crunchy bacon, creamy mayo, roast turkey breast, and just the right amount of melted cheese. The wrap was lightly grilled on the outside. My side salad was fresh and refreshing. I'd highly recommend the Filling Station as a go-to lunch spot. Good food, friendly and fast service--who could ask for more? read more

I tried this out for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The outside looks small but the inside is quite large and you have space to walk around. Looking through the menu I found that they had something called the the trash wrap, which basically was a garbage plate in a wrap. I was intrigued so I ordered it and I have to say it was fantastic. The staff was very good and the pricing wasn't bad either. Definitely going to stop by there again. read more

The service is so slow here. Their is no continuity to when you put your order in and when you receive your food. The taco special was not great. The special part was guessing what meat they used. The answer was the hot meat sauce on the trash plates. The decor is nice for a sports bar, hard to believe it used to be a Burger King. read more

I moved to the area about 3 years ago and ever since I've been going to this bar. Its a sports bar at heart but to me it's much more than that. The atmosphere and staff provide a welcoming touch to the area. I initially only went to the bar for wing night which is on Wednesday but I found that the other specials are just as good. The selections of soup very throughout the weeks but are always delicious and feel as if they were made at home. One of the best things is that the owners are very involved with their staff and business. As for the prior review about the wing sauces, stop in and try the dead heat flavor, I can almost guarantee you that this was the heat you were looking for. So if you're ever in the Basket and Ridge area, stop in for a drink or one of their daily specials. read more

We love this place! We come here often not only for the convenient location between Ontario and Webster, but for the best casual food and neighborhood atmosphere. The whole staff is wonderful, friendly, and hard working. Their food is always fresh, hot, and abundant with each day of the week having its own special meal. It's just about always filled with people, 7 big screen tvs and a dart board providing a lively, fun, environment. Husband & I tried the new location in Webster last night. Thought the food might have improved from the previous location in Ontario. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Burger was over done when medium was requested. Lobster Mac was HORRIBLE! Stuck together in a big lump. Tasteless. Drinks (happy hour) were good and the only reason to ever go there. Well. I want to be a regular, only 2 miles away. The food is ok. The special are good. The bartenders give you drinks. That's it. So if you want a less expensive night with no socializing, this is the place. Consider driving if you don't drink to much. I like the place but it could be so much nicer. read more

The wife and I rarely go out for a fish fry because you can't beat our own. But tonight we wanted to try the new Filling Station and we were pleasantly surprised. The fish was very good but what we are most fussy about is mac salad and coleslaw. Both were excellent and we plan to go back! read more

Foods great, just kitchen needs to speed up and need better waitresses, always have long periods where don't see waitress, then when you get them takes forever to get a drink. Once you fix that it will be great. read more

2nd trip to the Filling Station was as disappointing as the first. We were 1 of 3 tables there for food. We went because there weren't many people there and we wanted a quick lunch. We ordered the special of the day, quesadillas, and it took almost 30 min to get them. It was lunch time and there was only 1 employee taking tables and drink orders. I pulled up the website to call in my Togo order. Called in my order, staff was nice and was ready when promised. However, when I got the bill, my wrap was $3 more than information on line. The owner did not offer to right my bill to prices advertised. So I thought....this better be a good sandwich! To my disappointment, the chicken was limited and overcooked, the bacon was undercooked and my side of Mac and cheese was mushy. I will think twice about ordering from here again. read more

Honestly, we have gone to the filling station a few times and it was fine. We decided to take some out-of-town guest there, because they arrived a little after the dinner hour and the Filling Station seemed like a simple laid back place to take them. The service was terrible. First, they seated us back in the game section in a small booth. It would've been fine but it took over an hour to get our food. While we were waiting, some people came to the area with screaming toddlers. Then our waitress came by and said the kitchen was slow and asked if we still wanted our dinner we ordered. Since we had waited over 45 minutes at this point and needed to eat, we said yes. It came out about 15 minutes later. The food was good, and I suspect the waitress had never put our order in. We were embarrassed that we took our guests to the Filling Station. It was slow and loud. Really, they should scrap the games. There are too many and they make the place crowded and tacky. Also, they need to train the staff better. read more

My wife and and I wanted to like this place. We heard a lot of great reviews, and heard from a lot of people who were regulars of their last location. When we arrived, the hostess was friendly and warned us it would be about 20 minutes, which is no big deal. We grabbed a couple of beers and a coke for our 12 yr old daughter. When we were seated, our waitress was really friendly and she was great overall. The food was ok for pub grub. One of the appetizers though were cold in the middle. When she brought our food, the waitress informed us they had messed up our order (we had ordered nachos without the onions, and they put the onions on). Mistakes happen, and I appreciated the waitress telling us. We canceled the item at that point because it had already been a little longer than expected and we were on a time crunch. When we got the bill, we noticed they had charged for another soda for our 12 yr old. We asked the waitress about it, who again was very friendly, and said that free refills only apply if you order the soda at the table, not if you bring it from the bar. I explained the only reason we ordered it at the bar was we were waiting for our table and were just trying to keep our kid happy. She had to fight with the manager to get them to remove the charge. Is a few bucks for another soda a huge deal? No, but it is just one of those things that kind of irritates you and on top of the food screw up and the lukewarm food, didn't leave a great impression. We may give it another try, but first run was less than expected. Props to our waitress who did a great job despite not having the best support of the rest of the restaurant. Had heard good things abut the place, so decided to try it, Went for the fish fry, my buddy ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which he said was good, just a little pricey for what he got. The "beer battered" fish fry was in fact a frozen piece of not too tasty fish that came out like an ironing board. Not hand dipped, but a factory piece of fish that looked like rigamortis had set in and stayed. The fries were thin crinkle cut that looked like they came from a TV dinner from the 70's. The cole slaw actually appeared to be made up on site and was not too bad. I forgot to mention that it took 30 minutes to have what I would categorize as the worst fish fry ever delivered to our table. I eat out for fish fries almost every week, and cook them during lent, this one was not good. I see why the are able to have a fish fry daily, those ironing board filets are kept in the deep freeze until needed. While I have heard people say the "bar food" hear was good, I would have had to have been drinking for a while to think this fish fry was worth the $11.99, a complete disappointment. read more
