A review for another time but once I left the glass place I needed comfort food. I love kebab. A friend was married to an Iranian guy and I got hooked on kebab, basmati and warm flatbread. I go in prepared to break my no flour program but I saw the salads and realized that I wasn't going to let the poor customer service experience at the glass place let me make bad choices. I was greeted by the sweetest young lady who offered to make recs for me before she left for my tea. I ordered the Lulu Greek salad add chicken shwarma. I asked her to keep the pita bread. Insert me sobbing here. It was hard but I did it. Man was that salad phenomenal. Chicken breast that had a nice crust on it but was not dry. Crisp vegetables. A delicious oil and vinegar based dressing. So much food. Excellent service. Very clean. Mediterranean music playing very low in the background. I cannot wait to return and try kebab with warm pita, rice and hummus but today my blood sugar thanked me for the good choices

After ordering, I sat down thinking the food would be brought out, but later found out it had actually been sitting in the pickup area in a bag the whole time. That just added to the confusion. Once I finally got the food, it was disappointing. The gyro meat was subpar at best. It tasted stale, almost old, and instead of being warm, soft, and flavorful, it was kind of crispy and dry. The yellow rice also wasn't very good. It had a chewy texture and just didn't feel fresh. Trying to look past the service and food, I will say the atmosphere is nice and it's in a really cool area. But overall, the experience just didn't live up.

What a terrific eating experience. The place was lively and bustling with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The food was awesome and delivered pretty fast by very friendly servers. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and my wife had the grilled chicken gyro. Both were delicious. Highly recommend dining here. Would be awesome if one opened in St. Louis!!

The ambiance and service weren't exactly as expected. Orders must be placed before sitting down and you take your own order number to the table. Beverages are self service. We ordered four whole pan trouts with fries and a side of okra. The fish initially looked amazing. The top two pieces of fish were as expected. However, underneath were disappointing thick big honks of fish. Actually, two huge fish were cut into half and counted as four whole fish. I was immediately turned off seeing those big hunks of fish buried under the desirable and scrumptious looking whole fish. When asked if everything was okay, an honest response was given. The excuse was that due to the size of the fish, it would cost more to get all four whole. What a poor excuse! If it cost more, charge more and give what's advertised on the menu or at least an option; not a surprise. The menu should have stated: two whole fish and pieces equivalent to four. The whole fish was very good, seasoned and fried to perfection. However, we could not eat the hunks. We didn't expect to see anything but whole fish, as described on the menu. If I return, I would only order one whole fish with hopes of receiving just that. I would never waste my money on the four whole fish listed on the menu, since it is not as described and expected.

If you opt to dine in, she hands you the proper amount of menus and you are told to sit anywhere. I opted to get my food to go and placed my order. I got the gyro (add mozzarella) and cottage fries. I ate my Mediterranean feast in a nearby park. The gyro was good and I did notice they shaved the meat directly instead of a spit instead of using pre-sliced pieces. This really does make a difference. The cottage fries were plentiful and was a large potato sliced in thick pieces and fried. I did find this under seasoned and greasy, but it was decent enough. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend it. I will givebit four stars overall.
