"Love you with all my heart Return and always be My melody of love" (Polish Love Song - as sung by Ivan Putski, Bobby Vinton and others) What a fun time we had walking through the aisles and gawking at the deli counter at Fils Polish American Deli! There are all sorts of Polish canned goods, groceries, baked goods and candies, a big freezer chock full of pierogies, soups and the like, and a deli counter with as many varieties of kielbasa and hams you've ever seen. Fils sells five hot lunch specials for under $10, and I ordered Special #1 -a Kielbasa sandwich on a roll with onions, peppers, mustard and a pickle for $8.99. Bożena, our charming server, said it would take a while to prepare, and I soon smelled the kielbasa and vegetables being freshly grilled in the back. You see, the sandwich was freshly made to order as we waited. It was delicious! Split grilled kielbasa with those veggies and mustard on a very fresh roll. Quite a feast for just $8.99. We left with a container of chicken spread, a package of frozen fruit and cheese pierogis, a package of frozen potato pancakes, an envelope of mushroom barley soup, and that great kielbasa sandwich. Those six examples of Polish deliciousness ran $26.82. I love little ethnic delis like Fils, and I bet you will too.

    Store aisles...so many items!!

I checked Yelp to see if there were any good restaurants in the area, and happened to see a Polish Deli! I thought I had to drive to New Britain or Ansonia for Polish food. Tons of items for sale. I ordered a kielbasa sandwich to go and picked up frozen cheese and sauerkraut pierogis, potato pancakes, some kielbasa and sauerkraut, blueberry crepes, and some rye bread. I'll update once I try all the frozen items, but I had a few bites of the kielbasa sandwich with onions and peppers and it was very tasty!!

Great shop. Many Central European food stuff. Also have a small menu to eat inside the store. Maybe the best kielbasa in New England

Perogies were great. Fast service and it was fun to poke around and see what else is sold on the shelves.

The pierogies are authentic and delicious! Can't beat the $5.50 price tag either! Will definitely be coming back to try out the kielbasa!

Super cute little Bakeshop with the friendliest people with the best coffee and breakfast…read moresandwiches. Consistently great, I love coming here

I've been wanting to try out From Chan for awhile now, ever since I saw a YouTube video featuring…read morethem. We took a ride over this weekend and checked it out. First of all the owner and employees are wicked friendly and appreciative of your business. I definitely got the make-you-feel-like family vibe they offer. It was noticed and appreciated. They have a display of all the days baked goods, lots of different danish, cinnamon rolls, and really interesting pizza-like items. I went basic though and just got a regular coffee and egg and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was good, it was basically a cheesy omelette on a very fresh roll. I enjoyed it. The coffee, wasn't the freshest though and honestly a little burnt and plastic-y tasting. I also tried the blueberry cheese danish which was delicious. What I didn't really enjoy, yet understand to a degree, is the pricing and the itemized fees on the receipt. They are a small business, so I understand the struggles and necessity. However they are charging an "Inflation Service Charge" of 4% on top of the subtotal. My receipt also indicated another "Service Charge" of 4%, presumably because I paid with a credit card. In the end, a coffee, a latte, an egg sandwich, and a danish, 7.35% tax, and a tip cost me over $40. I think to me, it is psychological, while I understand they need to increase what customers pay, I guess I just rather they build it into the listed item price rather than tack it on at the end.

You expect, like the other establishments in the plaza, to find a small cafe style restaurant. When you walk in, you are surprised with fun decor and spacious dining area. Everyone who has gone with me says the same thing "I would never expect it to look like this based on the outside." As for food, they have the Best Reuben sandwich in Rocky Hill. Fries are crispy and price on point. Every meal I've had there has been great! The only downside is table service during lunch is very slow. So make sure you have a full hour to burn if you go for lunch.

Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
