Whole Deli is one of those rare gems you stumble upon once and then keep coming back to for years…read more I've been stopping here every time I travel to Rocky Hill since February 2008, and it has never once disappointed me. It's a fairly unassuming spot from the outside, but the food is absolutely out of the park. My go‑to breakfast order is the quintessential BaconEggAndCheeseOnAHardRollSaltPepper (IYKYK). They nail it every single time -- simple, classic, perfect. For lunch, the "Sweetness" sandwich has been my longtime favorite. It's a unique and surprisingly perfect combination: Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, crisp red apple slices, and honey mustard on a sub roll. Pair it with one of their deli salads and a bag of chips and you've got an outstanding lunch that hits every note. I only wish I had a deli like this back home in Western NY. It's absolutely something I miss between trips. If you're anywhere near Rocky Hill, do yourself a favor and stop in. Whole Deli is the real deal.

What a great local deli in Wethersfield! I've been told how good this little shop is for a while…read moreand so glad I stopped in for lunch. If anyone knows me, they know I'm sucker for a GOOD deli sandwich and that's exactly what you'll get here. I happily enjoyed the Keeney Club which namesake is a homage to the town of Wethersfield! It came piled with house-roasted deli turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado and garlic mayo atop thick toasted bread. WOW the garlic mayo absolutely blew me away. Definitely the star of that sandwich, along with that house turkey! The hubbs got the Angry Chicken which he was obsessed with. Homemade breaded chicken, cayenne mayo, hot sauce, lettuce, tomato, cheddar, and topped with hot pepper relish on a hard roll. From looking at the menu, I could have bet the deed to our house that he would choose that sandwich LOL The only downside is it's a little pricey for the amount of food. $12 for a sandwich and a small side. However, the sides were very good. The french fries were a surprise MVP. Very crispy and reminiscent of high school cafeteria fries in the BEST way *heart eyes*

The only bad thing about this place is that it's not open later!…read more I went here one time with some coworkers when we were on a break for lunch in the area, and I think about it often! Everything here is fantastic, but my recommendation is the three squared. The cutlet is fantastic and the mix of the red peppers with the arugula and cheese is delicious! It just hits the spot.

Pulled in on this Wednesday in August at about 2:00 PM…read more Rocky Hill Jersey Mike's was hopping, even though it was the end of lunch I was quickly waited on, and I ordered my favorite, with a new twist.... And if you want to try a sandwich that explodes with flavors you've gotta follow me on this. I ordered the Italian sub, Mike's Way, with spices and wet Now here's where it gets really interesting and the explosion happens On top of the sandwich construction, I asked for jalapeño peppers and banana peppers, finished off with pickles And the plain piece of bread that's gonna be the top piece, I added mayonnaise and the spicy relish Once these flavors mesh together, this is possibly the best combo there is at any grinder shop in the world in my humble opinion The explosion of flavors and crunch is simply amazing. Done this way it is possibly the greatest tasting grinder ever constructed. The heat, the banana peppers, the hot relish, oil/vinegar wetness, Italian spices freshness to the bread, flavor in the meats and cheese, with a pickle on top, oh my! Thank you jersey Mike's Rocky Hill, you made this guest feel like a king. The sandwich was constructed with love and attention, adding that smile and Good nature twist from the employee. Is this location my favorite? , you bet it is ! I was so excited about ordering the sandwich, I forgot to check in. And then while consuming this sandwich, I got totally distracted and forgot to take pictures of my experience. This is how good these sandwiches are.

The grinder I ordered was atrocious. My husband ordered a salad, (you can't really screw that up)…read more He brings home a beef, cheese and jalapeno sandwich. There was the bare minimum of all three items on the roll they used to serve me. The beef was so dry and over done that nothing could have made it rise to the edible status. I called the store after we got home and the manager was less than helpful. I would never choose to go to this locality for a meal. We've been to others that served a decent sandwich for the price. Close up shop folks!!! The word is out as to the quality of food that you serve.
