    Great burger

Went by based yelp reviews. I'm visiting from out of town. Place was interesting and had a few people inside on a Monday afternoon. A few guys playing pool and a few at the bar. Was warmly welcomed by the bartender who helped me with a beer and told me if I wanted food outside at the food trucks. Beer was great...food was very good! Regular burger was outstanding. Food truck brought it inside to me. Bartender came over and gave me napkins that I needed!

Screwball whiskey shots and a Diet Coke for my sober friend . Cheers to birthday fun!

LOVE this place. It's a staple visit every time I'm in Reno . Such a fun dive bar with friendly staff and locals . Went here for my birthday and got a few free drinks from locals , listened to fun music and made new friends :) Because it's a smaller place any smoking outside tends to waft in ( non smoker here ) , the only reason for 4 stars .

We were in town waiting for a flight out of Reno after spending a few days at Lake Tahoe. We found this bar and it didn't disappoint! We met the owner, Kristen, who couldn't be more welcoming. The prices are right and atmosphere is fun! We had so much fun and will be back. I bought the shirt!

Enjoyed a few drinks during a drag fundraiser on Sunday afternoon. Very welcoming bartender and bar owner, everyone was receiving quick and friendly service and the event was all around enjoyable. The bar offers outside seating, jukebox and a pool table; nice to sit and spend a couple of hours if you're in the wells/midtown district area.

This bar is very friendly and welcoming. My husband comes here to unwind and have a little fun. If you wanna enjoy the night stars or just hang out at the bar it's a must try bar.

    A delightful pint of Guinness.

Filthy McNasty's is a great little neighborhood bar with warm, friendly service willing to accommodate. Christine was able to whip up a delightful fruit fizz for our DD while we enjoyed our Guinnesses.

Best bar in Reno! Dogs are welcome. Just came back and they've remodeled.

Awesome midtown dive bar. Dogs are welcome. (Dogs are mine) They've also recently remodeled.

Filthy McNasty's was where my sister and all of our friends went all through our 20's. Every now and then, when the place was packed, I backed the bar for Wolfgang or Filthy. Lots of great memories with photos to remind me of that decade (1980-1990).

While they still had their Holiday drink specials menu, the server did confirm they have 2 for 1 mimosas and $6 bloody marys. The special was a Prime Rib breakfast burrito which both of the people I came in with ordered while I ordered the breakfast BLT. The Prime Rib burrito was so tender and juicy with a fried egg in the middle, definitely a special item for sure. I had the BLT on an everything bagel with a side of fruit and it hit the spot of a lighter, less hearty breakfast. For good service and cheap drinks, I will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is everything you would want from a local bar joint. Pool table, Dart boards nice outside patio with heaters. Appetizers were Onions Rings and Cheesy Garlic Bread. The Onion Rings were tempura style fresh made in house...no frozen bag crap here. For my husband they were a hair on the doughy side but they weren't greasy at all which a totally appreciate. The Garlic bread was tasty having a hard Toasted cheese top with the gooey cheese underneath and the flavor was spot on. I'm a dark beer drinker so I went for the MOOSE DROOL if you had to many the moose wouldn't be the only thing drooling . You can't go to a tavern and not try one of the drafts...that would just be wrong. Hubby had the Prime Rib sandwich thought it was tasty with the chimiruri sauce and provolone cheese. Airy and bright atmosphere, lots of windows and outdoor patio seating on those nice days. I tried the grilled cheese with short rib and homemade chips. The ribs were tender and the sauce savory. It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.
