A local gem! After living in Reno for years, we only recently discovered this underrated brunch spot, and now we're wondering how we missed it for so long. The service is excellent and the whole place has a warm, family-owned feel that makes you feel welcome right away. It's cozy with indoor and bar seating, plus a great patio for outdoor dining. The food is fantastic, great portions. Their brunch menu is available weekends from 8am-1pm and weekdays from 10am-11:30am. It's definitely worth going on the weekend, just be prepared for busy mornings. We went around 11:30am and were seated right away. If you're a Benedict fan, this is your place. Their French Benedict, served on French toast, is unique and so good. The omelets are delicious, and the housemade corned beef hash is a must-try. Steak and eggs, amazing! The home-fries could be a little more crispier, but still hits the spot. They also serve really great burgers that are huge, along with some of the best French fries around. Hubby and I finally visited this local gem with our pup Jack - why did we wait so many years? Love the patio! Nicely shaded and cozy. Didn't really notice the road noise but maybe because we expected some being next to Virginia. Super friendly server! Chatted with some regulars and the owner came by and sat with us for quite a while which was extra special. Food was great and large enough portion that we should have shared. Hubby tried the Philly cheese steak and was very impressed! Came with a huge side salad too. Chicken wings were also delicious. Nice little neighborhood bar which serves breakfast and lunch. A full bar with a decent patio with tables in back. It closes at 4:00pm weekdays and can fill up. Mostly high seating except on the patio. Loved the smashed burgers cooked to order. It does have a full bar as well. read more

We had heard from a family friend that this is the best breakfast in Reno and we surprisingly had never been here even though we are native renoites. We decided to try it last Sunday and were blown away with the delicious food & prompt and courteous service on this busy morning. This local gem is across the street from the Peppermill, has a warm and cozy old school environment with brick and wood everywhere in a hexagon shaped quaint building. We were able to get right in, but we've heard that many times there's a good wait. I had the French toast combo with sausage links, and my husband had the burger patty combo with over easy eggs with delicate, thin sliced country potatoes with crispy edges (that I was envious of because I didn't order them) and everything was done to perfection. The Patty and sausage links were very flavorful and everything seemed very fresh. This is not your average chain breakfast spot. They have bar seating with gaming machines as well. Stopped by Clary's in Reno on a Saturday afternoon around 1:45 and sat outside...it's somewhat quiet, the main noise is the traffic passing by as it's just off a busy road. The ambiance was peaceful, and our server was super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I had a margarita and the Clary's nachos with chicken. The marg was solid and hit the spot. The nachos were tasty, but pretty basic...nothing that stood out and honestly felt like something I could've thrown together at home. The toppings were pretty standard. That said, I'd definitely come back! I've heard great things about their burgers and breakfast, and I'm curious to try more of the menu. Had a disappointing experience here on a Sunday with service. We were told to sit wherever so we sat at the only open table that was open and it had some dirty mugs and glasses on it. Didn't get any service for 20 minutes and tried calling waitress several times with no response. Other tables got cleaned as people left around us and other people were sat and served even as we were trying to get waitress attention. We let the bartender know and were told it was our fault for sitting at table with dirty dishes. Small interior space with a horseshoe shaped bar (and video gaming if that's your thing), prompt and friendly service with some nice local beers on tap. CONS - None +/- From our outside patio seating perspective, the adjacent road noise was often noticeable. PROS 1. Nice Outdoor Patio with well placed shade umbrellas. Dog friendly! 2. Very friendly, attentive, and interactive wait person (Minerva). Our orders were taken promptly and our selections were out fairly quickly. 3. Good Drinks! I had Lemonade, while Gayle and Marti each had a Bloody Mary, and Jim a glass of Chardonnay. There were also colorful straws and ice water all around. 4. Tasty Food! I went for the Corned Beef Hash (with poached eggs), which was not only delicious, but had the right balance of meet and potatoes. Gayle and Marti split a generous portioned Spicey Chicken Omelet, while Jim wandered over to the Lunch menu with a Clary's Chicken Sandwich (half of which he took home for his next meal). This is such a fun place! My mom and I go often when I'm in town. It's right across from the Peppermill, they always have parking and they have an outdoor patio. The service is great, very friendly staff. And now to the food, wow, I've always had great food here. It's very well done. This last time that we went, we got there 15 minutes before breakfast wasn't served any longer(on Sundays, it's noon) and I had the Chili Rellano breakfast. It came piping hot(that's the only way to serve food, in my opinion)and it came with 2 chili rellanos, home fries and 2 eggs and toast. Epic meal! The gravy is to die for... perfectly seasoned, buttery, big sausage chunks throughout. Seasoning on the breading - perfection! And then, the most surprisingly thing in a classic CFS... the steak underneath all that mess is actually JUICY! Served up with their signature crispy home fries, it had proved itself to be the perfect hangover helper again and again. My ode to Clary's wouldn't be complete without big props to their outrageously tender and delicious chicken wings (dry rub for the win!) and their piled-high nachos with homemade cheese sauce. They just seem to nail the flavors. The cherry on top is the consistently excellent service every time we visit. Their patio is beautiful and lovely in the summer months. This location has been around for a really long time and is now under new ownership. John who was also a partner with another very successful hotspot in RENO is at the helm. Their hours are limited and primarily serve late breakfast and lunch. There is ample parking during the times that they are open. Upon entering, you will seat yourself, there is a wide selection of tall tables single seats at the bar or if you wish there is outside patio seating available. The ambience is upper scale, with dark wood, very clean and inviting. On today's visit I tried the chicken fried steak and eggs, which for me is a staple for a breakfast location. The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavor and fresh products. The chicken fried steak was tender and juicy with a nice crust on the exterior. The sausage gravy is probably one of the best I've had and most definitely going back for more of that. Unfortunately he does not offer a biscuit and gravy option which I think would be over the top. The eggs were fresh and prepared perfectly. Service was excellent, upon arrival I was immediately provided with a menu and my drink order follow.
