Even a brief check-in from a bartender or manager would have gone a long way in making our party feel acknowledged and welcome. This set an uncomfortable tone and we never fully felt settled during our visit. The food that followed was unfortunately not very satisfactory. We needed to go items and it took forever to get the check, containers and a bag. Anyhow there is a small cafe connected to restaurant but it has its own billing and serving area. Just go there. During conversation, we mentioned the long wait, and he explained that it is apparently "protocol" to delay seating larger parties until after 5:00 so they do not receive happy hour pricing. If that is truly company policy, I find it extremely disappointing and dishonest. We felt manipulated instead of welcomed. The food quality was also far below what we have experienced in past years. The crusted snapper that was recommended to us was terrible and had to be sent back. My grandson's burger was also very poor quality and honestly unpleasant. The only dishes our table generally agreed were decent were the squash casserole bowl and the chicken parmesan. Another disappointment was learning that bread is no longer served. For families with children, that was always something simple that helped while waiting on meals.
