We have been here quite a few times as a couple and with a group. Service has almost always been great - quickly seated (you usually need a reservation) and they pay attention to you. The staff also has a good knowledge of their wines, as you would hope for. The wine selection is very good and, if you can get there for happy hour, you can definitely have a couple of glasses for a decent price. Definitely a must do for drinks. The food has always been just ok. After a few adventurous choices, we now stick with one of the salads. The salads taste fresh and are usually enough for a light meal - you can also add a protein if you wish. Stumbled upon the Wine Bar while staying in Miramar for the night. On a Monday evening, it was pretty busy. We waited about 10 minutes for an outside table. Started with a margarita and a sangria and they were both great. We then ordered a cheese board. We got 3 cheeses and added a meat. It was a great size for 2 people. It came with a good amount of fruit, bread, nuts. It came with an oil and think to make it even better wish it had a honey or jam with it!! I also ordered the clam and corn chowder. We have dined here many times but the thrill is gone. Just a so-so experience tonight. The crab bisque was not a bisque by any definition. No velvety texture, thickened by cream and wine. It seemed like too much flour was added. The oven baked gulf shrimp was baked too long. The black items in the photo are burnt sun dried tomatoes. Kelly greeted us as we walked in. Made a reservation via phone as it's high season and we wanted to be sure we could get a seat. Most people sat outside but we chose inside and found a spot at the bar. Kelly had no problem with us staying there and we began to chat. All employees wearing masks, QR menu codes, lots of cleaning, etc. started with the hummus, which changes daily, and ours was red pepper. Came with vegetables and lavash. My family ate here on a Monday when several restaurants were closed. The HH wine was delicious. I ordered Sancerre and they had a Tempranillo. We ate most of the small plates and then shared a shrimp house salad which was perfect for 4. The fried artichokes were good but the roasted cauliflower was the best. June 2020; Mom and I walk into The Wine Bar at 6pm. Two servers working, no masks worn, both running around with their heads chopped off. Reserved tables inside the lovely AC are booked for the night, but not the tables outside! Every restaurant we called for a reservation was booked and we were hangry, so we diverted to sitting in nature's sauna and first thing we requested was cold, ice water. I must say, their H2O was refreshing. No ice or lemon served with water. We noticed quickly this restaurant was for the realtors making deals and the botoxed women over 50. Now, onto the food...Hummus was cold with lots of artichoke slices, which included fresh raw veggies(carrots, celery, cucumber & radishes) and a flatbread. Not bad for a healthy snack. The spring rolls were fried. BEWARE. We were expecting them to be wrapped in rice paper. We were trying to not eat fried food but who cares once he sets the plate down in front of you? Fried spring rolls came with a sweet chili dipping sauce, not bad. Alcohol was not ordered at "The Wine Bar", go figure, because my conservative, Catholic mother was already drunk off the sun from the beach. She just wanted to "eat simply tonight." Like Jesus didn't enjoy wine, mom. FYI: Happy hour is from 11am-6pm. Just get the fricken carafe of delicious grape juice and you too can feel drunk off of God's gift to man. In town for a vacation and my family and I stayed at Sandestin Resort. Near by is a Publix. We went there to get some groceries and spotted the Wine Bar a couple of doors down. The name itself made us want to dine in. By looking up the reviews, we decided to come in for dinner! Parking can be a little challenging since it is located in a busy shopping center, but you can definitely find parking anywhere and just take a nice stroll to the restaurant. They have lots of outside seating and some inside the restaurant. My family and I literally sat by the entrance inside. It was very cold, so please do wear a cardigan or light jacket! Before I go to food description, I do want to say this place was underwhelming. We had a high expectation and it quite just didn't meet it. Fois Burger -- came with potatoes wedges, side salad with lemon vinaigrette. As sad to say, the salad was the best thing on the plate. The burger was juicy, but lacked flavor. And the fois gras was barely tasted. Wedges had Parmesan on top, but still no flavor.. not even salt. (Just realized I didn't take a picture... sorry!!) Beef and Baguette -- Beef stew that was just alright. Just tasted like regular stewed beef. Corn and Crab Bisque -- kinda reminded me of corn cream. It was good. Baked Brie -- Brie with the cranberries, pecans, and apples were delicious! I just wish they didn't cover it with dough when we already have baguettes for it. Gourmet Mac n Cheese -- tasted good, but didn't get that crispy top that I saw on other photos. I also wished it was more creamy. Duck Breast Quesadilla -- honestly, it was weird. The duck wasn't flavored. Literally taste like duck and cheese... nothing else. They had a dipping sauce, which was very sweet. Not sure if it was right for the quesadilla. This dish brought a lot of questions. Did try the crab cake. Pretty good I say! I just don't have it pictured. Overall, this restaurant can do better. My family and I waited for an hour to have dinner at the Wine bar on Grand Boulevard and when we finally sat down, our server Matt (guy with a manbun), stood for 30secs while we were deciding our selection and waved us off and left our table leading to a lot of distress and disbelief. The manager did come by and apologize and switched the server but never came back and checked in to make sure we were doing ok. We came to Miramar beach for a vacation from Atlanta, Dallas, Mobile and I was extremely disappointed by the service. The food and wine were excellent but service was very poor. Please pass this message to Chan cox if possible. Matt was terrible and the manager needs a different opportunity if your objective is to build the best restaurant. Looking for some good wine and seafood and we came upon this place. Although not on the main boulevard it was caddie corner from it and next to craft beer. The ambience was great and we got a cozy corner table. Matty greeted us right away as we walked in. It was happy hour all night and we got a carafe for the price of glass of wine. We ordered the Grouper and a nice Pinot Noir. Amazing!!!! Travel quite a bit. Best grouper ever had in Florida. We capped the night with a flourless chocolate cake and a nice desert wine to go along. Why can't I give this place TEN STARS!??!? We ate out every evening of our weeklong stay in Destin and this place was our hands-down favorite. We had the red wine flight and the large charcuterie board. We shared the charcuterie board and then each had a dessert. It was all so good and the whole experience was just so much fun. Our most fun evening out in Destin. And we were able to go into the little store next door and buy our favorite cheese and wine. We had a table outside and our waitress was really nice and helpful.
