This is a great shop in Pleasant Hill. The shop itself has a nice vibe to it, classic flash to choose from, lots of weird and cool decorations, and very spacious. The location is easily accessible to the freeway, and there's lots of parking space available. One day I decided to walk in and get a traditional rose. It was very convenient because Nich was able to take me in instantly. I didn't show him any reference he just made one up and the results are fantastic! First of all. Everyone here was very friendly and amazing. Great conversations. Mainly. My mom and I got our first tattoos together. I got 3 biggish pieces. All in 1 sitting. And my mom got 4 stars. (In the photos) I came in a week ago and asked for Nick. I saw alot of people's work by him so I thought I would check his work out. Amazing work. So I booked an appointment for tonight. He was very patient and thorough. My mom changed her mind last minute on a different design and he was very cool about it. No complaints, didn't look mad or anything. So my mom's got done. And she barely felt any pain. Mine on the other had were a bit more painful, but I got through all 3 pieces without a break (besides cleaning and stenciling the next one) Nick has a very light hand (I've heard horror stories about artists with a heavy hand) anytime he went stood up to get something, he washed his hands and brand new gloves every time. He used atleast 3 to 4 pairs per tattoo we got. He changed out the barriers and cleaned everything thoroughly between each different tattoo. He made sure I was doing ok every few mins. My mom's took about 30 mins and mine took about 4 hours. He gave me a price quote and even though it took extra time because I chose to put 1 of my pieces in a different location and almost doubled in size, and my mom changed her design last min. He still honored the same price quote. Also my tattoo went on until about 11pm. When they close at 9. He said as long as I was good to go, he was too. And he clearly didn't rush any of it. He took his time to make sure every single detail was in. And even after the tattoo he didn't even rush me to leave while explaining the aftercare. He went over it in complete depth. I highly recommend this place. And Nick. I will definitely be coming back to him again!! read more

One place in Walnut Creek was charging a lot for what I wanted and was booked till September, but I happen to pass by Final Sin and took a chance. When I walked in, they asked me if I had ate anything recently. I wasn't hungry since I had a huge brunch that day but they made me grab something. When you come here for your appointment, make sure you grab something to eat! There were two others getting tattoos done at the same time and they just up and left. Seriously? Gave one of the artists a deposit on artwork and tattoo. The artist drew a quick crappy pic that somehow took weeks. I went into the shop and told the artist that the picture needed some changes and told them what I wasn't happy with. Took 3 months to get the new drawing. Unfortunately it was the exact same. I told the artist never mind I will just take a refund and go elsewhere. Artist refused to refund the money claiming how much work they had already done. I spoke to the manager and he told me there was nothing he could or would do. Suggested I pay the artist more money to correct the drawing he made. I left. I took my business to Diablo Ink instead. I have done 4 tattoos there now and every time they are super professional. Do yourself a favor and skip the folks at Final Sin. read more

My right arm was tattooed here at Final Sin by Nervio and Terry Ribiera. I decided to come back since my experience was great. I came in to get a tattoo of wings that ran from my left wrist up to my elbow. Chad and I discussed the design and he drew a couple of examples for me to choose from. Once I decided on the design he then made sure that I liked the placement of the tattoo. He made adjustments to make the original design larger to match what I had in mind. Chad did an amazing job with my tattoo and he did It quick! Nice thick straight lines and clean shading. He explained to me what he was doing with the shading on spots that were having difficulty taking ink. The large tattoo was finished in just a little over an hour! Once again amazing experience, clean shop! very professional and welcoming. You can always tell if the place is clean by the detail and cleanliness of the bathroom. I was looking for a new local tattoo shop and decided to check this place out. It's got a good vibe, everyone is friendly, and the artists are super talented. While I was waiting for my appointment I overheard two of the artists discussing a potential tattoo with a walk-in customer and they were providing a lot of insight and design concepts, really giving it more attention than a lot of other tattoo artists I've dealt with. He also will edit the original sketch to conform with what you had in mind. Yea, got my tattoo done by the great Natasha. Being it was my first tattoo it was kinda painful cause it was right on my spine. She kinda made me feel as if she was to good to do my tattoo. I went in there to ask her for the design and she only had the next opening after 6 months. Yea, I knew she was that good that I waited that long! Then I got it done after 2 1/2 hours. Just the lining too. So I paid like $250 for just the lining and gave her my number to do the coloring. I called after 3 months to see what was going on. She never got the phone or some guy picked it up and said "well shes to busy for you right now, she'll give you a call when she's not". I was like whatever I'll just go to Berkeley and get it done. Yes, Natasha is great but you gotta be like her to get in her good graces. I tell people where I got my tattoo done but tell them to go somewhere else. You can see by my photo's that "baby got back" literally. So you can also tell I've been going here a while to have work done on this piece. I've got quite a few tattoos but none as extensive and detailed and body encompassing as my back piece. It's lilies, an ankh with my name in hieroglyphs in it, peacock feathers and a portion of this piece also served as a cover up. With the exception of the first sitting (which was four hours long for the outline) I go for two hour sittings at a time and by the time I leave I'm stiff from sitting, laying or arching and a little deaf from the music screaming thru the speakers. But, Tasha is worth it. She is patient, creative and way talented. The only downfall to having work done by Tasha is she is in high demand. She does a good job of working with you but you have to book early and it helps if you are flexible. (Again, literally lol) I've got a long way to go before this is complete and I don't so much care if the numb feeling in my butt cheeks never goes away or if the hearing in my right ear is compromised - my back is gonna look dope! (as my daughter tells me!) I love that my tattoos give me the freedom to signify things I love, things that are precious to me, bits and pieces of my life or just random things I think are cool. I love that I'm turning 40 this year and my kids ranging in age from 22 down to 12 think I'm a pretty cool mom yet most of the corporate "up-tights" I work with think I'm Mrs. Cleaver - yeah, right. HARDLY! I love that my 19 year old daughter wants me to be with her when she gets her first tattoo and that my 12-year old twins say "when I'm older I'm gonna get a dragonfly tattoo like you" Life is sweet and tattoos rock! read more

Got two of my three tats there (#1 and #3.) My first one was done by guest artist "Gonz" and came out really nice, healed well, and was happy. He was quick, true to my design and used a great color that matched perfectly. My third tat was done by a resident artist who was moderately rude. I discussed my design with them and ended up letting them know that I would shrink it so it would work. They refused and said they'd do it and had what I assumed was their apprentice do it. He did an okay job, but the lines were a touch wonky. Thankfully this didn't translate over to my tat. But the artist did such a strange job coloring the work that I was scabbing very strangely, and scabbing blood over the entire piece instead of blotchy scabbing of puss or color I'm used to. I cared for this piece the exact same way that I did the other two, and took extra care because of the scabbing. The tat healed blotchy and there are places that just do not have color. I don't even want to go back because of how aggravated the artist seemed to do it. I'd pay what I paid for Gonz (more than what Gonz actually charged me, to be honest) but the resident artist that did my work really was pushing it's worth. read more

He showed me all of his awards and some articles about his wonderful work tattooing with color. When I confirmed that I didn't want ANY color (every one of my seven tattoos are black) he finally got to work. Wow! I came here without an appointment - slightly due to my impulsive decision. And when I called I spoke with Chad, and asked if they could do a touch up and and a small tattoo and he said yes and to ask for him when I arrived. When I arrived, I immediately felt at home. This place is super cool inside. They have vintage pin up posters, Star Wars art hanging, taxidermy on display and cool music memorabilia decorated throughout the shop. I especially like the old candelabra fixtures and red plush velvet couch because it adds an even darker/vampire vibe to the alternative/modern vibe inside. The shop is amazingly clean and organized which is key if I'm going to have some needle poke and burn my skin for the sake of body art. Chad was attentive to what I wanted and helped me figure out the best placement for my new tattoo. He provided some feedback and suggestions on my current tattoo that desperately needed a touch up and made sure it tied into my new piece well. Chad made sure I was comfortable and was very conscious of body placement because this tattoo required me to take off my bra and shirt. So I really appreciated him going out of his way to make sure I was covered no matter what. He also told me it was okay to let him know if I needed a break or if the pressure was too much. You don't get that anywhere else - in fact my first tattoo artist almost quit half way through because I was so scared - good thing I've grown up since then! Anyways, I really enjoyed the entire experience from the vibe I got when I walked in to the conversations we had during the process of getting my tattoo. I've had 3 tattoos done here, and two of them with Nick. First off, the place is very clean and tidy, but that's to be expected. Nick works with you on your designs, and is honest with what will or wont work, and listens to your input. He isn't super talkative, but I talk enough for both of us. He's always checking to make your ok, or that your pain threshold is good. My niece wanted a tattoo when she turned 18 and I felt confident in recommending him to her. He took the time to discuss with her, gauged her pain, gave her breaks etc. She is so happy with the whole experience, which is what I wanted for her. I've recommended this place to many of my friends, and I hope Nick stays there long term. I only have 7 tattoos, and I'm already looking ahead to numbers 8 and 9! read more
