Our Girl Scout troop had the opportunity to attend a class at Final Strike Martial Arts in Murrieta, and we had such an amazing experience! From the very beginning, the staff was welcoming, patient, and absolutely wonderful with all of our girls. They put together a two-hour class that was incredibly well organized and structured while still keeping the girls engaged and having fun the entire time. They talked with them about anti-bullying, personal safety, confidence, awareness, and different ways they can protect themselves if they ever feel unsafe. The girls also learned basic martial arts skills, including how to properly kick and strike, and one of their favorite parts was getting the chance to break boards! I was so impressed with how much they were able to teach the girls while making everything age-appropriate, encouraging, and fun. Every girl walked away feeling proud of herself and more confident. We are definitely interested in checking out more of what Final Strike Martial Arts has to offer and would highly recommend them to any family looking for a martial arts program for their child. Ms. Durbin Not often friendly, has a bitter and sour presence, likes to gives dirty looks Her relationship with Mr. Durbin is uncomfortable and her younger kids and often put at risk, they are going to get killed or kidnapped in the parking lot because they run out and nobody comes after them Ms. Hitz Also not the friendliest, very off putting. Every once in a while she will find it acceptable to acknowledge people. She talks nasty to her own kids really don't like her talking to mine. Ms Bridger is she staff or just think she is super important? Yes, we have all heard she "hangs out" with the Durbin's outside of the studio so hanging out in the office or walking into the floor must make her important Mr. Durbin Have tried to be understanding of his age but repeated poor social media posts. Breaking rules and sharing while "teaching" life skills Teaching and expectations have gone down if this latest testing is any indication, knowledge and forms just aren'twhat they should be, and only 2 black belts bowed out? These things dont go unnoticed. Maybe this stuff works with new people because they dont know how things used to be but this studio isn't what it was and it keeps getting worse. It saddens me to edit my review but I feel its time. We were with Final Strike and Micheal Robles for over 15 years. At one time it was a great place to train and was responsibly priced. Before we left it started feeling like a MLM scheme. A new program would be introduced at a huge price around $1500. (Give or take) they would offer discounts for first 10 students (give or take). That program would go strong for a year and then upon renewal the parents would be offered a chance to buy in for "LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP." Then that program fell off their calendar only to be brought up occasionally. (For example just a few of their programs Legacy, Strike, Gold Quest, Apprentice) The money that we were giving them was ridiculous and my monthly tuition was grandfathered in under their Platinum contract as well as a yearly 10 percent discount because the were using my underage daughter as a Jr. Instructor so they didn't have to pay her. The majors problems started a few years ago when my daughter was allegedly being bully by a group of girls. (I have a screenshot from one of the girls admitting that she followed the means girls because she wanted to fit in) We went to Robles on numerous occasions asking for help and guidance. He would sit down with certain girls but not the main 2 girls that were causing all the issues. He allowed a parent of the main girl to say horrible remarks to my daughter. These horrible statements were made in front of an Instructor. We were promised he would have a conversation with the mother and daughter. It never happened. In my opinion this is an extremely toxic studio and we are so glad we are no longer there. We have moved onto Giordano's Martial arts and honestly my daughter is in a great environment. Her smile is back and the pricing is very reasonable. At one time we were probably the most loyal family even though the pricing was absurd. Now I wouldn't recommend Final Strike to my worst enemy. On a side note, families were allegedly given a discount on sparring equipment to give 5 stars reviews on multiple platforms. I know i was. read more

I don't even know where to start! My son was starting to get in to the wrong groups of "friends" at age 9. I had to act fast on where he would take his direction in disciple, respect and most of all integrity. First introduction day Master Bates (I can't say enough good things about him) took us a small padded studio room with many other families as well. His positive attitude and articulate demeanor was a breath of fresh air. It was as though he was in my head and speaking to me in exactly what I was looking for by joining martial arts with my kids. This is not some fluff review, my son literally did a 180 in terms of chores, respect for his parents (me!) , friendships, and school work. He has a twin sister who has always done well who comes home from school with stories such as "Jonathan keeps raising his hand in class... and he's getting the answers right!". This alone is INCREDIBLE! FSMA teaches this skill DAILY, students are always looked to for answers and called upon. His twin sister also joined him and is having a great time learning and challenging her self, she has a strong competitive background in gymnastic style sports and has effortlessly enjoyed every class. Who wouldn't want to learn how to use Nunchucks safely? You kidding me?! The staff... Good lord, Mr. Cunningham is the main instructor for the main family classes. He is a very experienced high ranked blank belt with a heart the size of a dinosaur. Fluid, articulate instructions and will help you out if needed or with any questions. He makes every day comfortable for all, sets class up for everyone to succeed and have a great time learning at the same time. There are high ranked classes as well where Master Robles,Master Bates, Mrs. Bates and Mr. Cunningham teach. The experience and expertise between those 4 are monumental. We haven't reached the level of attending those classes as of yet, however we look forward to the day that we earn that ability. The blackbelts... each class is loaded with high ranked blackbelts dedicated to assisting in class. No matter how big the class gets, tailored help is there for you. They are the nicest people who genuinely want to see you succeed and enjoy what you're doing. Kid's belt dropped? No problem, one of them will happily help the young lad or lady get that belt tied on properly. Form not quite correct? No problem, one of the blackbelts will be by and help you correct your form. I have to stop here on this one as I could write a book about them. Now.. ME! I'm a 42 year old Father/husband of 3 truly awesome kids. I work as a Director of IT. I joined this program at first just to join my kids as I thought that they would enjoy it more if pops was there too. You'd think that this was just for the kids, it's not. I've improved in many aspects of my life through FSMA. My focus is higher than it ever has been, my confidence has made a significant jump as well. There are leadership programs that my children are in, as a parent I go to sit, listen, and wait for the class to end to take them home. The problem but really it's a great thing is that I end up listening and thinking about my own leadership at work, their talking points are for everyone! I have to cut myself off here, there is so much more I can type and so much more that they have to offer. At the very least, trust me and go for the 2 weeks to try it out. Do not fall for the $20 free trial...yes you get a free uniform and and intro session, however, the prices are outrageous...the sign up fee is almost $500 and the monthly membership is almost $800. I brought my daughters in for the intro session and "Shun," was very nice to my girls. However, I also had my 2-year-old with me. During their intro session, I tried my best to keep my toddler away, but there is only so much I can do as she wants to do everything her sisters are doing. Shun's comment was "this will work for today..." meaning that my toddler would probably otherwise be considered a disruption to the classes. I thought this was supposed to be a family friendly environment... The lady who accompanied him in the intro session was very kind, however, when I expressed to her that there is no way we could ever afford the monetary equivalent of a housing or a car payment to enroll my kids in martial arts, she said: "you never know, miracles can happen.." WTF?!!! If you have $$$ to spare in this economy go right on ahead. However if you are a hard working blue collar family, stay away from this place. This did nothing but teach my kids about disappointment, as they really wanted to continue taking classes, however, I had to explain to my 6 and 5 year old that we could not afford their outrageous pricing. read more

My daughter came in for a self defense seminar that was offered free to the community. First of all, how amazing to try something new, no strings or commitments. It was exactly what I was looking for. I inquired on Facebook and had Immediate communication without even having to call we were set up to attend. We walk in, Ms. Rentar immediately walks up, and engages in conversation with us and made a new environment feel less daunting. Everyone we have met that works at Final Strike has mastered the skill of communication, leadership, respect for themselves, their colleagues and each other. It was important to teach my teen what to do in a situation where someone poses a threat which is real life now. She has not looked back since and is dedicated to learn more. The people at Final Strike are professional, experts in what they do and are a family. They immediately welcomed my daughter, talked about goals and they are always working to bring her to the next level. Mr. Durbin came in on a Sunday to go through some specific techniques. As a parent, I felt his instruction was practical, what to do in real life experiences that our kids unfortunately have to face, to not be a victim, to be situationally aware.
