The most infuriating tax preparer I have ever worked with…read more They force you to do everything through their "portal" system which they keep changing, wiping out past records of conversations and documents uploaded. Oops! Sorry no record of that since we deleted that system! They demand insane upfront payments for services, which keep skyrocketing, before they've done anything, then will nickel and dime you for the smallest things. But no record is kept in their mystery "portal" of what all those charges were for, or your payments. They just keep sending invoices.... They made multiple mistakes on past returns which they then demanded huge fees to correct or even discuss. The last straw was when I approached them to do my 2024 returns. Of course they wanted $400 upfront. But we never proceeded after they informed me their base rate had ballooned to $1000 (my returns are simple, Trust income. No biz, No dependents) When I told them I was going to go with another tax preparer they REFUSED TO REFUND MY $400. We NEVER proceeded with my return. They told me to file my own extension. I did. Then later claimed they filed it. Is that worth $400??!! STAY AWAY from this company. Con artists.
