Thats Never happened in that store before. But this one particular gentleman (who's worked there a long time) actually said they were too busy to help me. I explained to him I don't have the use of my left hand currently and needed help. Told me to come back another time. I guess even the esteemed McLean Hardware is losing its customer service.

During all of my visits, I was able to find what I was looking for or something very similar to the items that I needed. In general, I think the prices are pretty similar or a bit lower compared to those in other places. Unfortunately, parking is a bit of a mess, primarily because two of the three entrances for vehicles are located right next to two VERY busy intersections. For one entrance/exit, it's virtually impossible to make a left turn leaving the shopping center, and you can make only right turns for another exit. However, I will not necessarily fault Strosniders for this because these horrible parking situations seem to be pretty standard in this area. It's as if developers throw a million and three stores in a shopping complex without any regard to the parking situation or traffic patterns. Also (as of Jan 2026), the store is dog-friendly.

I went in with a picture and immediately a gentleman saw me and asked me if I needed help and I showed him the picture and we spent a few minutes discussing the issue and he could not have been more helpful in terms of telling me what I could use to reconcile the issue immediately and what I should do for a long-term fix. For any home improvement projects I don't think I will ever go anywhere again. The best of the best.

When you walk in to Whites there is always someone that is knowledgeable and helpful. You would be amazed at what you could find in this place. I was looking for a obscure light bulb. Josh- the delivery man who was able to handle these grills as a one -man - operation in and out of the truck was friendly, helpful. and competent despite having to deliver a lot of grills on a holiday weekend in 95 degree heat (at 10 am).
