He introduced himself as the owner's brother and brought a lot of positive energy into the space. He was helping customers navigate some of the changes to the store, while also offering invitations to local events. We really enjoyed the communal feeling we got from our time perusing. We always enjoy visiting this shop when we're in the area, and we look forward to seeing how it grows and changes in the coming months, as the new owner fully realizes her vision. Pro-Tip: If you, like us, came here partly for the large soap inventory, you should know that these particular items are much more limited at this time. There's a section of about 20 long boxes of loose comics you might find a gem in, BUT as they are not already priced, they'll look them up and charge full CMV for them. Very quiet inside and no one bothers you, so it's a nice time to browse through everything. Books are pretty decently priced. Most of the children's books I've never paid more than $5. But on our last trip there we were extremely close and so we decided to duck in and take a look around. It's kind of a small place but it's loaded with books and a nice selection. The section that especially attracted us was the cookbooks. The man minding the shop was very nice and congenial. This shop is nicely tucked away in downtown Gig Harbor and is totally worth taking a peek into to satisfy any book shopping needs you may have... in small businesses and independently owned style.

Yet it is also quite full, so there is definitely enough there to choose from. Most of the books are on the older side so there aren't a ton of the trendiest new paperbacks here. I greatly prefer un-trendy old paperbacks, so this is great. The shop is owned by a very, very sweet and friendly couple who want to help you find books on your topics of choice. They are great to chat with and they also pointed me to other local businesses I've been trying to find, like boat rental. They informed me that they are friends with the proprietor of Mostly Books down the street. The other shop has all new books, so they've even worked out the proximity issue without having to be competitors. Totally fitting for a close-knit community like Gig Harbor. It was ok. There was not much there that sparked my interest other than paper, which I already have a lot of. I liked the way she had themes grouped together but there wasn't a whole lot in the store, which had a lot of unused space. They didn't have basic things such as stickles or punches. She had a very limited supply of dies and stamps. Prices were on the higher end. I can't say I would make the drive back. I did see that they had a big classroom space and they do have classes each month, so that is really cool. The lady working was friendly.
