I've been going to Findeisen's for over 40 years. However, since the pandemic hit, the prices have gone up every year and the portions continue to get smaller. Tonight was the last time I'll be going there. I bought 4 small sundaes and was extremely disappointed when I got home and saw the sundaes were the smallest sundaes I've ever seen. There was a small single scoop of ice cream under the toppings. This is supposed to be a two scoop sundae and this was more like a 3/4 scoop sundae. When I'm riding down Route 102 between Nashua and Londonderry, especially on those hot summer days & evenings, I enjoy making pitstops at Findeisen's in Connie's Plaza for ice cream, which is very good. Findeisen's has good variety of hard ice cream flavors (over 30 flavors) including sugar free flavors, frozen yogurt and soft serve (chocolate, vanilla, twist). My favorite flavors are the Frozen Pudding, Wild Blueberry, and Strawberry Cheesecake. The ice cream is creamy and refreshing and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The hard ice cream is offered in one to four scoops ($2.75-$4.70 tax included) and in pints & quarts. The soft serve is offered in small, medium, and large ($2.25-$3.45 tax included) and in pints & quarts. They also serve Richie's Slushes, sundaes, banana splits, The Whirl (soft serve blended with candy), shakes, frappes, freezes, floats, malts, and ice cream sodas. Order from the outside takeout windows and there's picnic table seating available next to the building. Overall, a great place for ice cream and it's only 2-3 minutes down the road from the Londonderry Flea Market. read more

Average icecream in an average setting. We live in the land of roadside ice cream stands, so I wouldn't waste your time on this one. ICECREAM - My chocolate walnut had some really bitter pieces of walnut and my son's coffee oreo was some cheap instant-coffee syrup flavor and nothing even close to real. The cones are just prepackaged​ bulk stuff, nothing special. AREA - Smelled like fresh asphalt and car exhaust. Mismatching plastic and wood picnic tables on uneven surfaces. PRICE and PEOPLE - The cost is a bit cheaper than others in the area and the staff was very nice & friendly. read more

This place is okay. I've been here a handful of times and it's mainly due to its proximity to where I am At the time. I can't say that I would go out of my way to visit. The ice cream is good. It's not the best I've ever had, but it's far from the worst. The pricing is good and the portions are plentiful. The service is what I'd expect from a roadside ice cream stand. The kids running the place aren't that friendly, but at least they're pleasant. The seating area is always dirty. They don't seem to clean the tables so they are always sticky. There is a small play area for young children, but I don't have high hopes for any cleanliness. Parking is quite limited but it doesn't appear to be much of a problem. The place isn't easy to find considering it's right on 102. If you blink, you might just miss it. A complaint that I have is with ordering ice cream to go. When you do that, they wrap the top of the ice cream in deli paper and pop on a rubber band before sticking it in a paper bag. This makes an awful mess if the ice cream melts at all or tips over. When you're serving ice cream for customers to take home, you should probably assume it has the potential to tip over or melt a bit. Why not just put a lid on it? It's extremely annoying. Overall, it's not a bad place to grab a quick cone if you're in the area. read more

I really love this place! It's right by my doctor's office, which is convenient (if not the healthiest, haha). The portions are HUGE and the prices are really good. I'm always satisfied with just a kiddie size. The owner is a bit quirky, but he's never been rude or brusque to me. The outside area does look dingy, but that doesn't bother me as I don't really enjoy eating outside. read more

Stopped in here to try it out and it was ok. No flavors you can't get somewhere else and the ones they had tasted good, but were not outstanding. The prices were relatively low and the portions were generous. The location is also a bit odd as its at the end of a strip mall right on 102 so its not a place to sit and enjoy your ice cream at. It's WOW! Huge 1 scoop for $3.50, did I tell you huge? I was going to have atleast 2 scoops since the second scoop is only .60 more. But its huge! I'm lactose intolerent, but their frozen yogurt Purple Cow is black raspberry with white and milk chocolate chunks in it. Plenty of chunks. If your ice cream pallet thinks Hood ice cream is good, you probably won't think this is anything special. If you want creamy ice cream bursting with flavor, then don't miss this one. read more

Nice place, and real Ice Cream. Just went there after the fiasco at DQ yesterday and what a difference. for $0.45 more you get 2 times the Ice cream. Also the owner saw our dogs and gave us a small dish of Soft Serve for them to have. The chocolate walnut was fantastic. read more

I ordered ice cream with Heath Bar crunch topping. The ice cream was good, portion was an excellent size. The Heath Bar topping was all on the bottom of the cup. So I had none for the first half of what I ate until I was able to dig down and scoop some to the top. While that contributed to the 2 star rating it was the condition of their outside table area that really turned me off. The tables looked like they hadn't been washed all season, even the heavy rain we had a few days ago didn't seem to help. Congealed ice cream and what looked like black mold covered every table. When we walked INSIDE this establishment, we were the only customers there. The very first thing the older man working there said to the 5 of us was "Just so you know, if any customers come to order something from the window, I'm going to have to help them first and you'll have to go outside and order through the window". This was the strangest request I've ever heard! Not only did the guy not even say hi to us, but he immediately made us feel unwelcome because we chose to come inside to order rather that outside where it was very hot and sunny. We all looked at each other like we were in some sort of twilight zone. Then we started ordering flavors of ice cream which were listen on the giant sign above the counter. He then informed us this was an "old sign from probably 3 years ago" and didn't have the correct flavors listed. Ok, then get a new sign, or cross out the flavors that are no longer carried! Kind of riding to keep up a sign that is inaccurate and tell every customer that walks in that it's an old sign. So we finally ordered out ice creams. He also had to keep stopping in between making each ice cream cone to write the previous order down. It was so odd. Now to the actual food. The portions were ridiculously big. Almost too big. All 4 adults in my party ordered "small" and they would probably be a large anywhere else. While one might say "hey that's great!", Sometimes it's also a waste of unwanted food. Prices were very cheap, came to $20.50 for 5 of us. The ice cream itself was very good. When we left we took a peak at the out door seating area which was not impressive at all, like another reviewer said. Dirty and uninviting. This place needs some TLC and the guy that works there, possibly the owner, needs to approach customers in a more polite manner. read more

my daughter and her friend were at the ice cream store today. they both saved their money and each bought a cone. when a gust of wind came and knocked the friends ice cream off her cone. although they laughed, they were upset at the accident. the man behind the counter saw the whole thing. instead of doing the right thing, and offering her another scoop, he offered them a bowl and spoon and advised them to pick it up off the ground and try to eat around the dirt !!!! they obvisoulsy didnt eat it, and both shared my daughters ice cream. this is unacceptable behavior for a owner/manager/worker at any store. i bet if an adult was there, this would not have happened. read more
