Lix is hands down the best ice cream around! They have a huge variety of flavors and toppings, and I went tonight for my favorite-a kiddie-sized Rocky Road with sprinkles. As always, they didn't disappoint! The portions are incredibly generous, even for a kiddie size, and the staff works quickly and efficiently. The line was very long tonight, and both the main parking lot and side parking were completely full, but the line moved fast, so the wait wasn't bad at all. The only downsides are that they only accept cash and parking can be difficult during busy times, especially weekends. They could definitely use more parking spaces. That said, many people parked across the street and simply walked over. If you're looking for delicious ice cream, great value, and generous servings, Lix is absolutely worth the trip! read more

One of our favorite summertime ice cream parlors. Always a little sad when they close for the winter. The service has always been great, though you may have to wait since it's a popular spot with us locals. They offer a wide selection of flavors, plus ice cream, frozen yogurt, and Italian ice. Some are unique so I'm not sure what's in it but it didn't matter as I chose the strawberry one. It was very tasty and fresh. The whole chunks of strawberries were amazing. Was waited on my a super polite server named Natalie, she was sweet and made some wonderful suggestions. We were recommended to try a Dole Whip which was hailed as an awesome soft serve that competed against Disney World's Dole Whip. Natalie was exceptional in her recommendations and speed to delivery and getting us our ice creams. She even came around to make sure our table was clean and brought us some needed napkins. Craving ice cream on a warm holiday Monday and saw Lix and just had to stop. They really should have more help as it was one woman working her butt off and a steady line of customers. Kudos to her for getting through the line as quickly as she was! They have the usual assortment of New England ice cream flavors. I suspect they buy their ice cream from one of the bigger places like Richardson's as I've had their German chocolate cake before and this was remarkably similar. The smallest portion you can get is two scoops so we went with two scoops of the German chocolate cake (delicious) and a Dole float. The Dole float was just okay - basically soft serve pineapple ice cream in juice. Tasted much better once the ice cream had melted into it. I thought the Dole float was a little overpriced and a bit bitter until the ice cream melted - not sure I'd buy that again but the German chocolate cake was lovely and hit the spot. Plenty of parking and prices are on par with other ice cream stands in the area. read more

This is hands down the best ice cream in the southern NH area. I am 9 months pregnant, so I can attest to trying many of them! The servings are huge, the flavors are absolutely delicious and they always give my pup a little pup cup! My order is half blueberry pie, half peanut butter cup and it is divine! I went there yesterday and got vanilla soft serve with a cup. It had the consistency of slush. It was warm outside and when it began to melt, the liquid in the cup looked more like water than melted ice cream. My gf got the chocolate almond joy ice cream. The chocolate pieces, almonds and the ice cream had almost no flavor. I guess bad ingredients make bad ice cream. read more

I went there for the first time tonight. I got a banana split. It was huge lol. The lady that works there was so friendly. It was the best banana split i have had in 30 years. Im sold on this place.
