The clams were perfectly cooked, golden brown with just the right crunch. And the roll was packed with clams nicely toasted too. My only complaint is that at $18.10 with tax maybe you could throw in a bag of chips? Still it's all about the clams isn't it? Next time I guess I'll spring for onion rings too! I usually like creamland in Manchester NH, however today is a different story; I spent $24.00 plus tax which came to $28.00 on a shrimp platter, First of all the shrimp wasn't cleaned there was waste in all the shrimp, which totally ruined my appetite, and the French fries were not cooked all the way through, you could still taste the rawness of the potato. So when I talk to the manager/owner she explained how they prepared the shrimp,and then said they do the best they can and pretty much brushed me aside.I wasn't going to even ask for my back, I just wanted them to be aware of how they clean their shrimp. I'm not giving one star because of the food, I'm giving one star because the manager/owner brushed me off like she didn't have time for me or my complaint. There are two ordering areas (with windows): hot food on the left and ice cream treats on the right. You order and pay for your food & drinks (cash only) at the window and your number is called when your order is ready. Last visit, I had the fish & chips ($7.80), which was a modest portion. I was very upset because it was cold and raining and I was made out to put the hair in my food. I had explained I had to wait for said owner so by the time she had my food back it was cold . One of the best parts about summer in New England is when all the little seafood shacks and ice cream parlors open up. When you're in Manchester, this means Cremeland. This restaurant is a family-owned, 3rd generation operation, and you can taste the love and attention between every bun, on every plate, and in every cone. The first thing that you notice is how fresh the seafood is. It is definitely fried to order, never frozen, and I'm sure they are on a first name basis with their purveyor. The seafood plate, although a tad expensive, is enough to feed 2. You get several U25 scallops that are moist, sweet, and buttery. A nice haddock filet also comes with the plate and it is fresh and flaky. In addition, you get about a pound of clams that are both bursting with freshness and taste like the ocean. And finally, you get a couple jumbo, and I do mean jumbo, shrimps. Well worth the splurge. The hotdogs there are mediocre as well as the cole slaw. But honestly, that is not really why you go to Cremelands. They also have a good selection of ice cream - scoop, soft serve, and sorbet. The one thing I have to say about the ice cream is that they are generous with the mix-ins. I recall finding a whole oreo in the oreo flavor and the pistachio ice cream is littered with real pistachios. The seating for the restaurant is all outside, so pick a nice day to go. They call your name out once your order is up, and nothing makes a day like enjoying a steaming pile of fried seafood on a sunny day. I don't care what Jack says, this is a great family restaurant and I never feel in danger. If you don't enjoy the atmosphere and food here, get back on your high horse and get out of Manchester. read more

When it was finally our turn to order we got a mint chip scoop and a soft serve twist. Both were good, but not made with a heavy cream content. The mint chip had a strong hint of mint, not overwhelmingly minty or green. Sometimes you get that milky film on your lips and you know a lot of cows helped make this ice cream!
