Recently we lost a grandson, he was in the military and 38 years old . I ordered the casket spray and floral arrangements through Teleflora and they contacted the Findery Floral and gift shop to do the actual work . The evening before my grandsons funeral I received two text that the flowers were delivered to the funeral home. The morning of the funeral there was no flowers! I talked to the funeral director and he assured me that there had not been a delivery, he called Teleflora and they were rude to him , they said they would contact the business in Yakima and see what they had to say . Their excuse was We didn't have any help! The combination of the Findery and Teleflora are to say the least a disaster! I used to order floral arrangements from this business from out of town. Sometimes they were ok, sometimes mediocre. But the business premises have become more appalling over the years. The Findery is located in Yakima's Charbonneau Castle, a historic castle-like building from the early part of the 1900's. This lovely building has been turned into a hoarder's garbage dump. There are huge piles of garbage on either side of the castle, and I'm sure more in the back yard. Not only is this an insult to Yakima's history, it is surely an indication of what kind of people run this business. They don't respect the building or its history and they don't respect their business enough to clean up the garbage, and judging by the reviews they don't respect their customers either. For crying out loud, DO A DUMP RUN and then find another place for your hoarding if you can't control it. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a fruit basket for fathers day, and recieved 0 communication from the establishment. The basket was supposed to be delivered the day before father's day, since they aren't open on Sunday. He never recieved anything. I cant even believe no one has reviewed the Findery! I have a lot of good stuff to say about this place! This lady knows her stuff and is extremely helpful! I have gone to her for everything birthdays, funerals, homecomings and finally my wedding! The flowers are always stunning and beautiful! If what you want is not in bloom she tries really hard to help you figure out other ideas that will be equally gorgeous. Also on time and friendly! Never had any issues.. And when I am in Yakima I always go to the Findery or call from out of town to order. And out of all the floral shops in the Yakima area she is simply and hands down the best. And I can not say this about a lot of the other shops in town. read more

I live out of state, but am from Yakima. I have gone to the Findery for flowers off and on for 20 years. I usually order online and have delivered. Not anymore. I ordered the flowers on the left, and my mom received this sorry excuse for an "arrangement" on the right. I live in North Carolina, but I wanted to have a local flower shop deliver some flowers to my Mom for Mother's Day, so I called and placed an order over the phone with someone on May 7th, a good few days before Mother's Day, and I also told them that the bouquet I was ordering to have delivered to my Mom could either be delivered Friday or Saturday. I requested to have a bouquet of mostly carnations, as that is her favorite flower, and whatever else the florist wanted to put in it. I was told it would be accented with daisies. I said that was fine. Well, the flowers were delivered on Saturday, May 11th, however, they were all daisies. No carnations at all. I knew this because my Mom text me a photo of the bouquet. When I saw it, it looked very sparse. I wasn't very impressed. And as you can imagine, I wasn't happy that they got my order wrong. However, just to make sure I made myself clear on my order, I went back to the invoice that was emailed to me to make sure it said carnations & daisies, and sure enough, it did. So I called them again and told them about the incorrect bouquet that was delivered, and of course, I figured they wouldn't be able to deliver a new & correct one to her until Monday, May 14, and sure enough I was right. They told me that they would have to exchange the incorrect delivery for the correct one. In my opinion, they should have just let her keep it, but whatever. I've yet to see if the second delivery will be correct and actually look decent. I'm not holding my breathe! read more

Came in looking for flowers for a photo shoot and was told to come back when "I knew exactly what I was looking for."

I can't say that I was even remotely please with an arrangement that I had sent to a co-worker. I was very specific when I placed my order. The only thing they got right was the 6 black balloons. The price was outrageous for what I got. Thankfully I didn't order the 60 black helium balloons at $3.00 each, because the next day the six that I did have sent were already flat. I called just to let them know I wasn't happy with my order and I was spoken to extremely rude. Like she said one persons color Could be totally different then someone else's. Really! Mine didn't have but one color. They knocked off 30% from my original price but as far as I'm concerned it was still outrageous. NEVER again will I go there. The only reason they got a one star is so that I could write a comment. Thumbs down!!!!! read more
