My sister and I came to the winery after hiking in Cowiche Canyon and the surrounding hills. We each got the tasting of the Italian style wines ($20). Staff was very friendly. The best part was the hillside farm setting. We sat outside, listened to the birds, and watched the sun set over the Yakima Hills. The location felt secret, peaceful, and special. We enjoyed the wines but the main reason to go here would be for the setting. I look forward to visiting again next time I am hiking in this area. read more

Laurie the owner is very sweet, funny and knowledgeable on the wines and spirits they produce. We had 2 flights of wines. My wife had the "Estate Reds" her favorite was the 2016 Estate Melange Noir. I am more of the HEAVY red wine type... However, I also picked the 2016 Estate Melange Noir as my favorite on my tasting. The grounds are expansive with some tables in the shade and some in the sun. In biblical times, wine was referenced as a way to treat illness, celebrate occasions and generally make merriment. Based on our experiences, I believe they may have been referencing this winery! We've been out to this lovely spot a couple times, most recently for a dinner with the increasingly famous BITE CLUB! The place is a converted house down a sunny dirt road, deep in wine country! Plenty of parking outside and indoor/outdoor areas to gather. Inside are two large rooms for sampling, mingling and chillaxing. They house two wineries here - Wilridge and Naches Heights Vineyard. Both use grapes from the grounds and have some great options, including plenty of varieties you may not have tried - The Nebbiolo is our recent favorite. They also serve small plates here, including $1 otter pops! The outside seating is plentiful and there's lots of room for the kiddos to run around. In the summer, they've got live music a couple days per week and have food trucks serving those evenings. We recently discovered a fun little trail up a rocky hill out back. Our 3 and 5 year olds had a marvelous time "creature hunting" which meant we talked about how small creatures may have made homes in between rocks and in holes. It was totally cute and totally fun! It was also totally cold hiking up in February! The wine club gets you 20% off and only requires the purchase of 8 bottles per year - You can totally drink 2/3 of a bottle every month! Plus, tasting are free including on special weekends like "Wine and chocolate" around Valentine's Day! Well worth your time to check out! read more

Bring your own snacks. Cant beat the location, pretty disappointed with the staff. We came on a Sunday which was relatively busy. There were only 2 employees working. One knew what she was doing and was making the tasting experience great for the guests, our girl unfortunately didnt have a clue. She didnt know what was in stock, she didnt know what wines paired with anything and when we asked for a cheese plate she said she couldnt sell us one because they were too busy and there were only 2 employees working. Some people in our group ran and grabbed some fruit, cheese and crackers. I would reccomend just stoppingnfirst. There is also a great hiking trail connected so if you want to work up a sweat before you partake you can earn your glass. read more

I had really high hopes as we signed up for their wine club during our visit to their tasting table at pike place market. We had a great time talking to the lady there and the $1 pours are great and we had a fun time hanging and chatting with people who came through. The wines are great! I'll give them that, but the communication on wine club and wine shipment has been severely lacking. Here's our experience: We signed up for the membership on the spot and paid up front for the shipment of a few selected bottles of wine and the next wine club shipment scheduled for May. (We visited in early April) No communication about confirmation of signing up for the wine club, no emails on events, no thank you for signing up. which would have been fine if that were the only issue. Not even sure we were signed up because it wasn't until mid June that I emailed and called about the status of our shipment and it took them more than a week to respond with a simple "your shipment is going out this week" from their wine club manager. No apology for the delay or anything. I followed up and also asked about the membership and how it works if we get invites to events or anything. still haven't hear back. We received the shipment a week later... we got the wrong wine. the reason i know this... is because we of course wanted a bottle of the Rachel wine (my name) and didn't receive one. I haven't been to their tasting room, it looks beautiful. This was just our experience with the wine club membership. read more

Hidden Gem!! We stayed here for one night over memorial day weekend and it was one of the best places we have stayed in Washington. Laurie the owner is so friendly. She recently transformed her winery into this charming air bnb so I dont think too many people know about it yet. The drive up to the winery is so picturesque with sweeping views of vineyards and the valleys. Once you get to the house it is surrounded by vineyards and an amazing view of the mountains. You have to share a bathroom but that didnt bother us. We stayed in the orchard view room which was a great size for two people and had an incredible sunrise/sunset view. We did the tasting for $7, great value! Plus they have free rhubarb bread which was delicious. You can take your tasting flight and sit in the picnic area. I can't say enough about this place, we caught ourselves saying "we could live out here." read more

Beautiful view and right by a hiking/horseback-riding trail (0.9 mile vineyard trail + 3 miles Cowiche Canyon trail), so you can get some exercise and sober up before driving to your next tasting. Fantastic, not overly sweet red dessert wine. Estate Melange Red and Sangiovese are also great. We tried all Wilridge Vineyard wines (biodynamic/organic), but they also have wines from a couple other boutique wineries nearby. This is the vineyard for the Tasting Room in Seattle (where their main winery is). They're just now starting to make wine here too. They have some fun family events like pumpkin carving and Easter egg decorating, so the kiddies can be entertained and watched over while parents go enjoy some wine. :) read more

Really lovely spot. We stumbled upon this tasting room on our way elsewhere but we really lucked out. The ambience was homey but lovely and the seating gave us some reprieve from the hot sun. This place is popular for a very good reason - maybe two... The wine is amazing and the tasting room has a spectacular view. nestled on top of a hill overlooking the valley you can spend hours sampling the wine, nibbling on their cheese plate or listening to a guitarist pluck the afternoon away. the appetizers are a little pedestrian and do not in any way detract from the wine but an easy way to elevate the experience would be to up their nibble game. We had a reception at Wilridge this weekend and Laurie and her staff could not have been more helpful. About 40 adults and a bunch of kids attended. The staff helped us in every way, including set-up and clean up and everything in between! We were lucky to have the shady area in back and the back porch and the caterers were able to set up inside. We parked at the lower Cowiche Canyon trailhead and hiked in about a mile before discovering the side trail that goes up to the top of the ridge and to the vineyard. It was well worth the detour, as the views from the trail, the vineyard itself, and the wine were all beautiful. We did a tasting and then hiked back to our car and drove back (the easier to transport all the wine we wanted to get). The staff was very nice and knowledgable. We ended up having a cheese plate and drank a bottle of the Can-Can while sitting in the sun and reading. It was blissful. Lots of other folks there, and many of them brought food with them, which seems like a great idea- we'll do that next time. A really beautiful property and great wine. read more

The views are, by far, the best part of The Tasting Room experience. Finding the place was manageable, but they could definitely use better signage. When we arrived we weren't sure which building to enter as both of them seemed to host wine tastings. When we walked into TTR and expressed as much we were met with a blank stare from the young man behind the counter. Things didn't get better from there. The guy was happy to pour a glass and provide his rehearsed spiel on each wine, but questions about the wine were evaded and other comments were ignored altogether. I'm not sure if the guy was pretentious or just socially awkward, but I couldn't get out of this place fast enough. It was uncomfortable to say the least. read more

Came up for their Oysters and White Wine Event. As usual, the wine was mediocre at best; the event was terribly unorganized. The service by Lori was awful as usual. I was almost denied entry to the 'oyster area' because I didn't have my 'blue tickets'...... needless to say, I had used them earlier to get my oysters. I was simply looking for utensils. Lori then preceded to make snide comments about how she ate oysters since she was three and had no issues eating them because she sucked them...... I wonder how she learned? We come here often because of convenience and always have the same disappointing service. So sad, because it is a beautiful place with service that just isn't even descent customer service. I had such an amazing time at The Tasting Room. First and foremost, the drive up the hill to get here was fun and scenic- well worth the drive. We parked right in front of the tiny building, walked in, and were immediately showered with greetings and offerings of wine. The three employees rocked! They were so helpful, and you could tell they all had a serious passion for wine. Being on the younger side, I felt totally comfortable telling them I just really enjoy wine though I don't know a ton about it. No pretentious vibes at all that you sometimes get at wine bars. We tried a few ($1 a pour, not bad at all) wines before I settled on a delicious red wine, the name of which I cannot remember for the life of me (I know, so helpful). We ordered a tasty cheese tray which had two kinds of cheese (a soft and a hard), apple slices, mixed nuts and crispy pita crackers. We also got some of their tamales- I got an asparagus and a chicken. Very good. But honestly, it wasn't the food that's going to make me come back if I'm ever in the area again. It really is the breathtaking view, the spacious seating outside, and the helpfulness from the awesome staff. I had an absolutely amazing time, and it wasn't even that pricey :) read more
