This is actually my first time here. A home away from home it feel very cozy being here and very relaxing. I loved how they had a maple syrup section where you can try all of them. They were a bit water downed tasting. I got the grilled cheese and I didnt know that I could had asked for a side salad I would've had gotten that instead. This is such a cute place from the moment you see it from the parking lot to going inside. The wood and decor is so welcoming! They have a great menu and the food was super yummy! I enjoyed the frittata with red pepper, spinach and feta! It was super fresh and the dressing was tasty which came with the salad. My friend enjoyed her signature coffee called SugarHouse Latte and breakfast sandwich. Waffles were a tad firm but soften with the syrup. You gotta try the samples in the back! So many flavors! What an adorable farm to table gem. In a remote location this little gem is definitely going to be one of my favorite spots. It's a very causal setting with several indoor and outdoor tables. The only downside is that they always seem to be understaffed and the employees are always in the weeds...which can be more a sign. If the times rather than management. Found this gem! From an invite to a women's group. Ambiance is comfortable--love the decor, very homey. There's outside seating, love to be in nature. Tried the Sugar House with Rye Maple syrup, double-shot espresso, and steamed oat milk--loved it! Never had coffee with maple syrup in coffee! My friend had a Nutella Double Expresso which is not on the menu (she asked the server what their favorite coffee is). Service was good. They do have an amazing menu (though there are no non dairy/non egg options other than offering an oat milk substitute) but I do recommend a stop here for at least a maple coffee or to buy maple, honey, soy candles, or pancake mix among other things. What a great find! Finding Home Farms is such a cute, charming and inviting place. The 'Sugarhouse' inside 'Finding Home Farms' serves brunch and baked goods. It's also a market that sells local goods, organic maple syrup, pancake mixes, jams, mustards, soy candles, home items, jewelry and more! We got to sample a few maple syrups too. We ordered an iced pumpkin maple latte, iced cider, wafflecado toast, breakfast sandwich (waffled), and a cinnamon scone. I really liked the breakfast sandwich the most. Came here for breakfast on a Monday morning with family. I was surprised to see the parking lot full of cars and some people were even sitting outside on the patio. We opted to sit and eat inside because of the summer heat. I loved my breakfast sandwich, which is egg and cheese inside of a heated up croissant. You can also add bacon if you wish to the breakfast sandwich. For my drink order, I had a hard time choosing from their extensive menu, but finally settled on the Happy Camper latte (which was on their specials menu for the day). loved the smokiness and the cinnamon flavor of the latte and my sandwich was delicious and just the right amount of food. After breakfast, I looked around their extensive gift shop which had some of their own maple syrups for sale (which you can flavor for free in store), candles, kitchenware, coffees, teas, children's books, stuffed animals, and costume jewelry. If you haven't been to Finding Home yet, I highly recommend it as it is such a peaceful spot for breakfast and their menu for both drinks and food is outstanding. What a cute spot this is! From the outside it looks like a very nice barn. It's nestled somewhat in the back away from the main road. When you walk in it just has that cozy feeling country vibes. It feels homey and a place where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and food without feeling rushed. There were plenty of out door seating but we opted for inside to be in the AC. My friend had a brownie and coffee while my other friend had a frittata which she enjoyed very much. I had two things: waffle which had powdered sugar on it and it was a bit hard before dipping it in syrup and then I also got the breakfast sandwich on a croissant. They pressed the croissant in the shape of a waffle. I had eggs, bacon, cheese and added avocado. Everything tastes freshly made which is also why it was taking kind of the longer side to get our food. I also wanted to try the Sugar house iced latte which was an Iced latte made with Rye Maple syrup, double-shot espresso, steamed milk topped with maple whipped cream. What a delight this was! All of their pastries looked very tasty too! They also had a tasting area where you could sample syrups: Cinnamon, coffee, hot and spicy and original. Very clever idea this was. I had never seen anything like it. So I bought the sample pack of syrups and my two favs were the coffee and the cinnamon ones! Completely agree with the other post. Rustic chic barn vibes were great but... really the worst avocado toast I've had (got it on toast and it was tiny, expensive, and made with the premade guac). Every couple of NY State Maple Weekends, I venture up to the closest maplery I can find to enjoy the weekend, since I am a maple fanatic (and a food fanatic, yes yes). I learned that Finding Home has been on the list for several years, so I have clearly been lax in making it up to mape it up. I can say that after this year, I may make this an annual visit (at minimum!) I was enthralled with their special waffle today: full size (the normal menu has minis), filled with bacon bits, covered with delicious maple whipped cream, and with a side of maple that could easily have covered a second waffle. If it wasn't maple weekend... oh, who am I kidding, I'm licking the entire bowl and plate clean any day of the year. But the waffle was divine. The little croffles are also divine, pastries in waffle form for the win. And maple sugar because maple distillery. It being maple weekend, they opened up their tap room for chatting (I know I'm using beer terms for maple syrup, let me be) and we had a wonderful discussion together. They have some paraphernalia on sale, key being all varieties of maple syrup with all the various flavorings (I do highly recommend the cinnamon and, if it suits you, pumpkin spice). Only tiny downside I found is there isn't table service, though this is a maple sugarhouse and not a restaurant, so who am I gonna blame for this? They did bring the waffles to the table, but the drinks, apps, and table clearing all required visits. The coziest spot to grab a coffee or tea to meet up with friends or a great study spot. They also serve food and some pastries. The staff was great in helping me find a tea without caffeine in it and gave great recommendations. I had the turkey and Brie panini which was just okay but I would order it again it just came out a bit cold. The overall decor and vibes of the place make it cuter than just going to say like a Panera. They also have an adorable gift shop where they sell local products. Amazing amazing decor and great environment! The coffee shop is, uhh kinda in the middle of no where, even your phone signal kinda dies, but wait, it is so worth the drive here! (They have Wi-Fi btw) Their baked goods are from North Wind bakery in Middletown and they heat it up for you. They don't have many meat items on their menu but the one we got was pretty darn good. I have heard so much about Finding Home Farms on Facebook that I had to check it out myself! This place is beautiful!! Although it is a little loud inside you just get this peaceful feeling just being there. I had waffles and a hot chocolate. We had to sit outside because there was no seats available inside and I can't do steps. By the time they delivered our stuff to us it was cold. My waffles also came with no butter and were so small I ate them in like 2 seconds. I was going to say something about everything being cold but apparently no one checks on you. Having to order at the counter and pick up your drinks but food is delivered to you is kinda odd I thought. Few suggestions: If there's seating available upstairs you may want to put in a elevator so people like myself can get upstairs and not have to sit outside. Waitress/waiter should take your order and deliver it and check on you to see if customers need anything. I'll definitely be back but not on a weekend when it's so busy. read more

As visitors walk the outdoor grounds you can see black maple trees are located on site and attached with traditional bucket tap tubes for sap collection. My party of four were intrigued with the owner's lecture of handling maple. The air is very aromatic filled with maple. There is also soft ice cream for sale. Vacuum pumps with three visible steam stacks for ventilation as a modernized producer use propane, or steam to evaporate sap. The free guided tour offers free maple syrup samples. Now, I do not have to travel all the way to Canada to obtain pure maple. My party of three were visualizing how in earlier times without machinery the difficulty, labor intensive, workers constantly enduring third degree burns, time consuming process and production of maple syrup was. Thankfully, progress comes with technology which makes production process easier and today's 21st century there are more options for machinery and automation than earlier times. We had a member of our party on very strict food preferences and they were so accommodating. It's such a charming spot and the esthetics are spot on. They have great gift selections including their own line of candles, jams and baking mixes. Their maple syrup though is the best I have ever had, a much more rounded and buttery flavor and all the variations we tried were fantastic too.
