Beautiful and cozy cafe, definitely a hidden gem since where it's located not much visibility. The lady behind the counter was so sweet and very friendly, plus explained what the cake fillings were and when I asked about chimney cake, she really tried to sell it and show and explain how it's made, pretty cool since it's nice to see people passionate about there job and I never heard of cake baked on rotation stick before. The dessert cakes I got were moist, soft and not overwhelming sweet, but I will say for the penguin one, the cake itself was a bit dry. Wanted more of cakes but at $7 a pop, had to pick the best. Also they have kind of expensive make your own salad bar with mostly basic options, but I give them props for the sliced meats they for the salad, since they looked really good and moist, can't tell you how many salad bars give you dried out turkey and chicken for make your own, here it looked amazing. Got come back and try the salad bars and try the chimney cake.

Cute new little bakery in Goshen serving Chimney Cakes and European desserts. The desserts were very delicious we got a chocolate cake and a coffee cream apricot cake, very elegant desserts. Only would say it's a small shop and only has a few outdoor seats, so not a sit down spot. Otherwise very good spot!

Fun coffee date with my girl at the Diplomat Café. We had two flights of coffees - one hot, one cold. Belgium - Belgian chocolate cookie rim. France - lavender and honey. Italy - amaretto sugar rim. Turkey - Nutella rim. We had the most amazing server, Sargun, who explained all the coffees and was perfectly attentive. The only downside is that after all the caffeine and sugar, we can now smell colors and see sound.

My favorite coffee shop to visit on the weekends! I love going in and trying all of their delicious and seasonal flavors of coffee. The owner is the sweetest person and every time I walk in I'm greeted with a warm welcome! She takes coffee to a whole different level from decorative and seasonal inspired lattes to the amazing "coffee flights" that are offered. I recommend this shop to all of my friends and family and definitely think it's worth stopping by :)

I've been a fan of this shop since they sold chiney cakes at festivals and events, and love the coffee shop! It's a great little coffee shop with pastries (look for the chimney cakes on the weekends). The shop owner is very sweet and happy to customize any beverage (I love their oat milk lattes). Fast service, too!

The dining is traditional and we loved it. The style is European inside and you feel transported to a foreign time and place. Soaring ceilings with old world timbers and large baronial fireplaces are a perfect setting for the feast to come. We are ice water people when we dine out so I can't comment on their drinks but they have a top reputation for offering a wine cellar that is famously stocked full of rare bottles. And available for a special event. We started with a homemade tomato soup and it was everything. Expect local and the most flavorful vegetables here. Real cream on top. Then we ate the most wonderful Wiener Schnitzel ( the veal was pure white) again with perfectly steamed local cauliflower, carrots and peas. The brown sauce was well made and perfectly smooth and complex with a delicious stock underpinning the finished product. For desert we had a very traditional Swiss chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream sundae. It was simply wonderful. Such a good choice for a special meal. Service I should mention was impeccable and attentive. We noticed several large family tables but the dining room is laid out so there seem to be no bad tables as had been mentioned on another review. It's a white tablecloth dining experience and a reservation is needed. Parking in front. The sedate calm of the restaurant is a setting for conversation and appreciation of the unusually divine cuisine available here.

It was founded by husband and wife Mikael and Alicia Moller. Mikael started out as a restaurant apprentice in Sweden when he was just 13. He immigrated to New York City in 1981 and worked at several high-profile restaurants. Mikael met Charlotte when he began working as a chef for Charlotte's Catering where she was also working. After marrying in 1989, they bought the catering business. After a trip to Millbrook, they fell in love with the area and wanted to open a restaurant in town. They purchased the building that housed Allyn's Restaurant in 2006 and renamed it "Charlotte's Restaurant". The location was built in the 19th century as a church before being converted into a theater and finally a restaurant space. My wife and I recently dined at Charlotte's while we were visiting Millbrook. We were celebrating our sixth anniversary with a stay at Wing's Castle nearby. Charlotte's came highly recommended. We really liked all of the Autumn decor adorning the dining room. We started things off with some Autumn-inspired cocktails: I had the "Apple Pie Martini" while my wife had the "Warm Cider with Spiced Rum". They both really hit the spot. For entrees, I had the "Cornish Game Hen (with quinoa, butternut squash, pickled sweet peppers and rosemary sauce) while my wife had the "Creamy Lobster Mac & Cheese" (Maine lobster, bacon bits, herbed bread crumb with mixed greens and citrus vinaigrette). We both really enjoyed our food! After the dessert menu came around, we decided to share a delicious "Apple Galette" (local Granny Smith apple, sweet pastry crust, vanilla ice cream). It was a perfect way to end an excellent meal. We really enjoyed our experience at Charlotte's and highly recommend them for anyone visiting Millbrook!

The flavors of the meat blew my mind. Who knew that Croatians make the most delicious burgers. This is a hearty and fantastic dish. Also, the burek was flaky and light and not very mini. The service is alright, the staff didn't seem to care or come back to check in with the table. The worst part of this is they automatically add a tip regardless of your party size. Meanwhile some white diners came in, and they hurriedly ushered them smiling to a table. Didn't give us menus (but gave menus to all diners that came in after us) until I flagged someone down for them. I watched them give complimentary bread and sauce to every other table except ours. I had to interrupt one waiter to ask about it and he shrugged me off, not even stopping to look at me, and muttered he'd get it. He got us bread but not the sauce, I had to ask him if it comes with the bread he said no. Later I asked another diner if it was complimentary, he said yes. It's unbelievable, we spent more than 100$ here to be treated like beggars. I would suggest any POC stay away; we were made to feel incredibly unwelcome and uncomfortable. On the other hand, the food was barely mid. The veal was so tough it was like eating rubber. In the end we couldn't finish it because it just wasn't good. I am not even sure if perhaps on purpose they gave us expired food because afterwards my friend and I both got upset stomachs. If you must be in Stamford you should take your business elsewhere, perhaps dont support a racist establishment.

I first heard about it several years ago when…read morethey first opened in the Arthur Ave neighborhood - standing out as a traditional Albanian restaurant amongst the sea of Italian eateries. Fast forward to the present day, and they have gained considerable attention. The restaurant has made the NYT's Top 100 Restaurants in NYC list for the past 4 years, they have expanded to two (soon three) other locations, and is a favorite among the social media and celeb crowd (this is allegedly one of Dua Lipa's favorite restaurants in the city). That being said, we thought it would be a great spot to celebrate a family member's birthday - so I booked a table and off we went. Çka Ka Qëllu is located on Hughes adjacent to the back entrance of the Arthur Ave Retail Market. The restaurant is gorgeous - it's pretty spacious with three main dining rooms. The decor is a showstopper in itself - the exposed stone walls coupled with the abundance of artwork and old world accents placed throughout the dining area make this seem more like a museum than a restaurant. The ethnic music that is piped throughout the restaurant completes the feel. I honestly couldn't stop looking around. There menu is pretty expansive - most of the items I had not heard of before, but it's also approachable as they spell it out for you in the description what each dish is. We were a party of seven, so to make things easy we aligned to share everything. My brother and I decided to take lead and order items from each section. We decided to start with the ajvar, sausage dip, and tarator. These were all delicious; essentially dips, they all had great flavor and were paired with hot crusty bread mmmm. We then got a bunch of other dishes: leçenik, burek, fili, fasule with smoked meat, mantia, mazë e zier, and a shop salad. As with the dips, everything here was delicious. It's hard to pick the standouts because everything was so good - honest food, full of flavor and depth. Okay you twisted my arm - if I had to choose, my favorites were the burek and the mazë e zier. I love a good burek, and this one was top drawer. The pull on the mazë e zier was out of this world, yet it was easy to maneuver with great flavor. We ended the meal with one of their grilled dishes - namely the mixed meat combo. We chose five meats and they paired them with some vegetables and potato. At risk of sounding like a broken record - this was delicious as well. Service was awesome - everyone was welcoming and the food came out at a good pace. Overall, Çka Ka Qëllu is an absolute yes - the food, the decor, and the service were all aces. The hype is real and they deserve all the accolades they have received. Goes without saying, but I would definitely return for another meal - take me back now!
