Wow such a great little shop in downtown Ventura! Again, I'm guilty of having not always walked downtown to find these little shops but I've been making up for it lately and supporting with my patronage. Goldie's is the cutest little boutique on the west end of main st. They have clothing, jewelry and some small home goods/accessory finds. I had a fun time looking around this shop as there was so much cute stuff. Staff was super nice and welcoming. Kaya helped us out today and provided A+ service. I ended up walking away with a bundle of earrings that I just loved. $32 for 10 sets. Pretty reasonable to me knowing had I just bought one stud set at any other boutique it could have cost me $15-25 for one pair. I felt that their jewelry and clothing was pretty well priced here. I'm a happy customer and I'll definitely be coming back again to support. read more

All pants of a specific style were marked $62 on all tags but $68 on the computer system. Worker charged me $68 because she said that she had to go by computer and that some new worker must have written the wrong price multiple times. She would not reimburse me. I wanted to return the pants and get my money back and she said that I couldn't do that and she would need manager approval. She said that she had to wait for the manager to call. So I'd have to wait around for a phone call. Terrible service! Having the wrong price written multiple times but charging something else is a scam! read more

I was excited with the 3 pieces of clothing I had chosen but when I pulled out cash to pay I was told this store didn't accept cash. This means that Goldie's is now implicit in the removal of cash from society and when it's gone, all we have is digitally controlled currency that can turned on and off determined by whether we're behaving ourselves like good little citizens (think the Chinese social credit system). I did buy the clothing with a card as I decided not to punish myself but I will NOT go back whilst the owner takes away our rights for financial freedom. I am so hoping this review is informative and the owner reverts back to accepting cash. We must keep cash in the system, please everyone use it! read more
