While I wouldn't call them scam artists, the sales process felt very much like dealing with a high-pressure volume dealership rather than a business focused on customer relationships. My wife and I spent five days negotiating a deal on a Yukon. We secured financing, underwent hard credit pulls, and reached a final agreement around 3:00 PM on a Tuesday. We were told the deal was settled and were instructed to arrange transportation for my trade-in vehicle and send a deposit once shipping was confirmed. Within an hour, I had secured vehicle transport and informed the salesperson that my vehicle would be picked up the following day. I received no response until 9:00 AM the next morning, when I was informed that the Yukon had been sold the previous afternoon because my deposit had not been received in time. Technically, they may be within their rights. However, the reality is that my deposit would not have been seen or processed until the next business day anyway--around the same time I received their response. After five days of negotiations and being told we had a deal, it felt like our commitment meant very little. What made the situation even more frustrating was that they immediately attempted to sell me a different vehicle from their inventory rather than address what had happened. In the end, we were left with a hard credit inquiry, time and money spent arranging transportation, and no vehicle. Nothing illegal occurred, but the experience left us feeling like just another number rather than a valued customer. If all things are equal, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. On our way home the check engine light came on and we realized that the highbeams didn't work. We contacted Findley and they wouldn't do anything for us. The truck was supposedly still under factory warranty because the original purchase date was April 2024. We took it to a local dealer and they explained that the factory warranty wasn't valid because the truck was originally titled in Canada and the warranty doesn't transfer to the United States. After I test drove the truck I was going to purchase they hit me with a lower number for my trade than agreed upon. They were well aware it needed front tires before I drove there. After a few minutes of back and forth and the "manager" refusing to come out and talk face to face like a man, I got my keys and drove home. I left a google review of the experience and they tried to call me a liar and list things that are not true about the experience. They tried to claim I had a check engine light on... not accurate I edited my post to show the pictures of the diagnostic report on my vehicle - no issues. This dealership demonstrated extremely poor communication and unprofessional sales practices. I called at 9:30 a.m. and spoke with Lauren regarding a used Chevy Silverado, requesting an out-the-door price. I was told the quote would be sent shortly. After an hour with no response, I called back and spoke with Corey, who stated they were busy but would send the quote within five minutes. That did not happen. Over the next several hours, I followed up multiple times by phone, text, and email. Corey continued to state he was waiting on numbers. Jeremy later called and cited being busy moving vehicles on the lot. Throughout the entire process, I clearly communicated that I intended to purchase the vehicle the same day and that I had a two-hour drive to the dealership. I did not receive the quote until approximately 1:45 p.m. We agreed on the price and confirmed my arrival time of 4:00 p.m. Upon arrival, I was informed by management that they would only accept a check and would not accept any card payments. Due to it being after 5:00 p.m., I was unable to obtain a check or money order. I was then told my only options were to finance the vehicle or return another day. This payment restriction was never disclosed during any prior conversation. No effort was made to accommodate or resolve the issue. As a result, I was forced to leave without the vehicle and drive two hours back home. I bought a 2015 Lincoln MKX on a Saturday. After waiting through my seller doing multiple sells at the same time we were there for 4 hours waiting for the sell of one particular car I already knew I wanted. There was only 19 miles to empty when we drove it, the guy filled the tank and then sent us on our way after a very long process. A day later we started noticing a "sweet" smell coming from the car after driving about an hour away and back, called them on a Monday to have it "re inspected" as we were told they "inspected" it prior to the sell. They said they didn't find anything, and the guy probably spilled gas on himself when filling the tank because he's an old guy. Also stated that they don't inspect the vehicles on the lot they just detail them and put them on the lot. Promised me nothing was wrong with the vehicle and we drove off. A month later after smelling the "sweet" smell off and on we decided to take it to our own mechanic, turns out the transfer case was cracked and spilling oil all over the bottom of the car and we could've blown up the car if we continued to drive it. read more

Awful experience. Test drove a 2022 with low mileage and low price, was told that it came from Canada so no manufacturer's warranty came with the vehicle. Talked to consumer reports and was told that the cars vin number couldn't even be pulled up. They said it was likely that it was put in the system wrong or the vehicle shouldn't even be sold and that's why the manufacturing warranty wasn't attached to the vin number like it normally should be. The warranty through the dealership was crazy high priced. They said to give them a second to run some numbers and came back lower, like I was getting a better deal. Nope, just extended the payment time to 82 months and wasn't going to mention it! Just slimy. Ended up walking after 3 freaking hours with so many "I'm not sure", "Its probably this" and wasn't even sure of the vehicles features when asked. Either just not very knowledgeable, lazy or flat out lying to get sales. Left with a sick feeling but glad I listened to my gut! Ugh. Went to a different dealership in a different city and bought a different vehicle, amazing experience, brand new nicer vehicle with a lower monthly price and a warranty with the amenities and color I wanted. Watch out for their sneaky tactics. One is that they buy some of their vehicles from Canada. This means that the standard manufacturer warranty of 36k miles and three years is not applicable. Seems like they do this so they can sell you a warranty. If the manufacturer GIVES one away, then the dealership cannot SELL you one. If you are going to buy a vehicle that doesn't have a manufacturer warranty, you should not pay the same amount as you would for an otherwise equivalent vehicle that does have one. If you really want a warranty, then I recommend you do your research before you get to the dealership, because they only have one warranty provider which is the one they likely earn some sort of commission on. You can find a better one. But if this warranty is really important to you and you are getting it, DO NOT accept their first offer. They are ripping you off there. After I said no, the finance manager (this guy will lie to your face without even breaking a sweat) came out and offered me the same warranty for $1000 less. In trying convince me that I need a warranty, he told me he had to replace the radio in his car 5 times LOL!! He must have the absolute worst luck in the world. I will start by saying I wish that today I was posting a review that contradicted the several negative reviews this dealership has. However, in this case the negative reviews are right on. I drive in from about 2 1/2 hours very interested in a car they have. I first spoke with their internet manager two days prior. I told him they had the exact car I wanted and that I had financing worked out so I expected it to be a very easy deal. We made the trip, liked the car, sat down to do the deal. We were close in numbers, this was going great. Then the hammer dropped. I was told I they can only do the deal if I use their financing. That they couldn't wait for my back to send a check like is typical with 99% of dealers in Ohio btw. But I don't want to use your financing, I said I have a pre-approval and a great rate 3.74% for 84mo. I said can you match that? They didn't know. Which told me no because I have worked in banking and finance and know that banks can give you a very close estimate with only your credit score and income. So after being held over a barrel to use their financing we left. Drove to Columbus and bought the same car with a letter of credit from my bank on a letter or credit which is how everyone but Findlay Chrysler operates. A terrible business model. And has to be a terrible place to work as a sales person. A 35k sale was lost yesterday over waiting for a guaranteed check in the mail. Those who work there beware. Bought a used car from these sleazeballs and this will be the last one. It's unfortunate as we've bought a couple of cars from them in the past. Took the car for a test drive, did the typical drive on interstate and city. Opened the hood and checked underneath the car and showed no signs of a leak or odd smell. Less than 48 hours of driving back and forth to HS, which is a mile one way, the engine light came on and a lot of fluid on my driveway. Called the sales guy I bought the car from and he did the usual response, "Let me check with my managers, they are in a meeting currently, but I'll give you a call back in 30-60 minutes". So, because I didn't buy the 'optional' coverage they can't do anything about it. I was told they inspect all cars before they are put up for sale, oil change, check fluids, etc...I asked for a copy of the inspection report and they are "unable to find it". Windshield washer was empty when I opened the hood after my test drive so I call BS that they checked anything. Windshield washer fluid can be easily supplied so I thought no big deal, but that should've been my first sign that they didn't inspect anything. Do not buy from this Company with the new Management! We purchased a used Traverse, test drove it, and then 1 week later engine light came on, took it to Chevy to look at and it will cost $4600 to get fixed! This is dealership with new Management is very snake-like and slimy. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! If you must buy from them, take your car to get it looked at before you purchase. Found FCDJR online, I'm new to Northern Ohio. Moved here for graduate school after a military deployment. FCDJR had two used trucks in stock I liked, called and made an appointment to come see them last Monday. Drove to Findlay from North Toledo, arrived at the dealership, but they didn't even have my name down for an appointment. Once we got that straightened out, they told me that the two trucks I "had an appointment for" were sold. Okay, great, wasted trip. Ended up walking around the lot, found a Dodge Ram that I liked. Ended up buying it (CASH-- I handed this organization $18,400 CASH THAT DAY) and went home. (Not a flex-- just showing that I was a model customer and was super easy to deal with) AS SOON as I parked it and got out, I noticed a HUGE power steering leak. Crawled underneath to discover a damaged rack and pinion. Now, I bought it As-Is, and I understand that. However, FCDJR told me that their MECHANIC checked the truck out, and that it was good to go. I don't consider a busted rack and pinion good to go. So, I called FCDJR, told them the issue, and they said they might be able to cut a deal for repair. At first they offered $700, and I explained that I felt that part cost alone is fair, due to FCDJR making a false material statement about the truck. A few hours later, Doug, the Used Cars Manager, called me and offered $500. I said hey, that's great, I appreciate it. I'm glad we didn't have to go through arbitration or the courts (As a law student, this is a great compliment to receive) DOUG IMMEDIATELY cut me off, said "If you're going to threaten me with that, we're not having this conversation, the offers off the table and I won't do a damn thing for you" (that's a close paraphrase, but he did cuss at me, and did revoke an offer based on my intended compliment) and HUNG UP ON ME. I tried to call Doug directly back, he declined my calls (it rung once and went straight to voicemail). Called the main dealership, asked to speak to someone in management, told him (Jake, maybe? Tyler, possibly?) the issue, he said he would return my call. He called me back, said that Doug and I had an "altercation" (I reckon a phone conversation in which I complimented Doug on being fair is an altercation?) and that the deal was off. I asked him if it was common practice for MANAGERS to cuss at customers and hang up on them, and he shrugged it off. In sum, this dealership didn't reserve my appointment, sold two trucks that I verbally requested and received confirmation that I had an appointment, sold a MATERIALLY DEFECTIVE vehicle and failed to disclose a mechanical failure and made material misrepresentation about the vehicle, when confronted about the issue, I received some bouncing-around, and was ultimately cussed at, hung up, and treated with utmost disrespect. I have received better customer service and felt more welcomed at McDonalds. I do not recommend FCDJR to anyone under any circumstance. read more

if I could give less that 1 star, I would. I was searching for the perfect vehicle for months. Finally found the one at Findlay Chrysler. They sent my contract. I sent over all my information. Switched my insurance. Had my bank set up a wire transfer for the next morning for nearly $40,000 (I had to take out a personal loan to buy the truck since the dealership wouldn't allow me to use any outside financing). My bank was set to wire the fund to the dealership this morning with the 9am fed transfer. I get confirmation from the bank that the fed accepted the wire transfer and they're just waiting on the tracking number. Minutes later, I get a call from my sales person Jeremy - he tells me to stop my wire transfer and return my loan - they are selling the vehicle right now as we speak. I spoke to the company's controller who literally told me the vehicle isn't "SOLD" until they get the funds in their bank account. I asked if they got the funds in their bank account form the new buyers and she said no - they're financing with us, so that rule doesn't apply. Piss poor customer service and literally the worst experience of my life. read more

Service Dept is a joke . Had my truck in to get a recall fixed and my uconnect and radio looked at . Had to order part to replace the uconnect box etc.Drove home parked it , got up next morning and the truck was dead . Called them said couldnt of been anything we did . Called AAA they came and jumped it it started but all the lights didn't work I took it back to them they looked at it got the lights all reset and said when we looked at the unconnect the other day it probably drained ur battery so it was them. Drove home got up for work next morning DEAD . Monday morning called them got it towed there got a loner. Today called said it's finished , get there my truck is on E and like 50 plus's miles driven .Went back in said my Boss just left he will give u a call. My Girlfriend called them service dept was rude manager wouldn't talk to her and she said what's the number to corporate, he said google it . read more

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. This place is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. We called on a car last week that we were VERY interested in coming to test drive. We wanted to come the following evening, however an "upper level" manager, Brad, had taken the car to Columbus Ohio for a long weekend so it was "unavailable." Keaton, the sales representative, stated that his sales manager, James, guaranteed they would NOT sell the car until we had the opportunity to drive the car since it was unavailable for us. We were promised that this past Monday the car would be available to drive and for some reason the "manager never returned with the vehicle." We were then told today the car would be available for us today and they would contact us early this morning. After several unsuccessful attempts calling the dealership, we were finally told that the car was sold out from under us and was no longer available. If you are looking for an honest car dealership to work with and one that actually cares about their clients, I would look elsewhere. read more

I emailed and spoke with a sales person regarding a vehicle that was listed online. The sales person quoted me and emailed me the same price info as listed online. I committed to purchasing the vehicle for that price and was sent a contract with a $1200 higher price. I was told prices fluctuate due to market and they had 3 people waiting to look at that truck so the price went up. I called back and spoke to the internet manager and was again quoted the original price. I asked again to talk to the sales manager and was told that the pricing stopped with him and there wasn't anyone else I could talk to regarding this issue. I told him I had read reviews concerning this very issue and I felt obligated to leave this review...he told me good luck and hung up on me. read more
